This is good advice, something I try to adhere to but I tend to struggle as I'm a natural sentimentalist. I have a terrible habit of romanticising the past, so for me the 'moment' is insignificant until it's in the past and then I get caught up in it.

I mean my feelings toward her were mellowing down until NYE where I was at a party with her. Dunno, felt a strange chemistry and I can't get it off my mind, I sort of feel like she felt it too but I cant tell if I'm being delusional. You're absolutely right though. I don't really have the time or energy to afford pouring over every little word exchanged. She has a boyfriend so I doubt it's worth trying to 'lay down the foundations' with her, as it were. Thanks
