So I went through a nasty divorce, she found the biggest turd of a lawyer and they tried to ruin me. Don’t do anything out of emotion - I am four months away from my last alimony payment. I am in a happy and healthy relationship. I will say it sucked going through it but remember this is your life - don’t stay miserable because it’s easy.

So I’ll say my ex wife stretched the divorce out for over two years, she wanted the separation and everything. When it was over she made out with a lot of money, considering she refused to work (we have no children either). Recently she sent me a message saying she wished she could have her old life back . . . That’s fine, I hope she finds whatever she is looking for but it ain’t here. I dated around a bit and found someone that supports me and is a good person. I don’t have any anger or hatred …

So she gets half but for the amount of the years we were married. So it would be about 29% but if I have medical disability she doesn’t not get any of that.

Life hack, have no net worth and there isn’t anything to take. Alimony for life depends on the state also.

Yup she might have even said that. Honestly I understand why alimony and spousal support are there but there shouldn’t be a blanket coverage for it. We have no children she just wants to smoke pot and not work.

I’m paying for a lawyer. I figured it wasn’t a good time to try to save a few dollars

I have a lawyer, we were going to go uncontested then she spoke with her mom, a professional divorcee.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
