I understand that entirely. It's one of the main reasons I sympathize with the movement myself. But considering we're talking about women in prison, the fathers are more than likely either completely unaware that the child even exists at all, or they're criminals themselves.

I edited my post to answer your question. You're too fast for me. But to answer it again, yes I know what the functions of the foreskin are. I researched male circumcision extensively before my son was born, as I was under a lot of pressure from my family to conform to societal norms. I was not trying to be demeaning when I called it skin; that is literally what it is. It is skin. If we are talking about removal of just the clitoral hood (which is the foreskin of the clitoris) or the inner labia…

Here is a study that compares the clitoral glans to the glans penis. According to the study, the sensory receptors in the clitoral glans are indistinguishable from those of the glans penis, and the clitoral glans is more densely innervated than its male counterpart: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23692408/ This is a study done of female to male transsexuals, but also touches on the anatomical similarities between clitoral and penile glans: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/tswj/2014/437378/ …

Sounds like a good idea in theory, but unfortunately it doesn't really work that way. I've personally never been able to get more than 2oz of breastmilk at a time out of a pump. More often it was like an oz. Some women just can't "let down" for a pump. Babies are far more effective at expressing milk from the breasts than a pump will ever be. Also, most women in prison aren't exactly in stable relationships with men in a position to care for a child. If the father is able to take the baby, then …

I wasn't lying; I was mistaken. Thank you for the correction. Of course it sounds similar- as I previously stated, they are both horrible procedures that I have no idea how anyone can do to an innocent child. I have a son, and when he was born there was no way in hell I would allow anyone to remove a piece of him and cause him pain. However I still stand by my words that there is a difference between removing foreskin and removing the head of the clitoris. Both are unconscionable to me, but remo…

The head of the clitoris is far more sensitive than the shaft. It is absolutely comparable to the penis in that regard. When they say that cut women find their breasts to be their most sexually sensitive part, that speaks volumes. Men can orgasm from stimulation of the prostate, but that doesn't mean that removal of parts of the penis has no effect on them sexually. They may not even realize the effect it's had, because that's all they've ever known.

Source please? Everything I've read points to removal of the clitoris being the main point of FGM. And if you don't have a clit, you won't be able to orgasm. It would be like someone rubbing your balls and never touching your dick but expecting you to cum.

There is actually something the mom can do that nobody else can: breastfeed. And that is the healthiest thing for babies in their first year of life.

And as a women, that's one of the things that bothers me the most about this shit. I don't want to be looked at as weak and vulnerable. I want to be treated as an equal. If you want equality, you can't pick and choose what you want it on. I can't even believe the irony of someone railing against domestic violence to turn around and commit an act of domestic violence. I guess she figures that since she's a weak, emotional, vulnerable little woman, and he's a big strong man that somehow it's ok. /…

I think both are horrible, and I have a son who I left intact for that reason. However, I do believe there is a difference, as FGM typically involves the removal of the entire clitoris. They aren't just removing the "hood"- they're taking the whole thing and rendering the girl completely unable to derive any pleasure from sex. It would be more comparable if they were removing the entire glans from the penis. That is essentially what is being done to girls.

Bingo. I am a woman, and attitudes like that are one of the main reasons I sympathize with the men's rights movement as much as I do. I believe in true equality. I do not want any special treatment because I have a vagina. I believe that women should be treated exactly the same as men are treated. Across the board- no exceptions. Feminists say they want equality, but then they expect special treatment on so many issues. This is a prime example. I despise people looking at me like I'm some weak l…

I am so sorry this happened to you. You need to leave this relationship and never looked back. She is abusive- plain and simple. This is a textbook example of what abusive relationships look like. Abuse tends to be cyclical, so I can pretty much guarantee it will happen again. She'll attack, then she'll apologize and beg for forgiveness. You take her back, and everything seems to be great for a while. Then she lashes out again. Wash, rinse, repeat. And unfortunately, because you are male you wil…

Unfortunately, it is not a good idea to call the cops. If you do this, 9 times out of 10 you will be the one arrested. Many jurisdictions have laws that mandate an arrest needs to be made whenever police are called to a domestic dispute. They more than likely will decide that you are the one who needs to be arrested, since you are male.

I'm a woman, and that's exactly how I feel when I see shit like this. It makes me sick. Unfortunately most women eat it up like ice cream.

That's why I said "most". I don't think there's ever a one size fits all for attraction.

Yeah, but most men don't seem to mind a few extra pounds. Not talking about someone who's obese, but a woman who's say 140 or so. Most men are ok with that.

Yup, I agree 100%. OP needs to report this. I absolutely despise woman that think they can put their hands on men, but if the man does the same exact thing they cry rape and abuse. It's disgusting. Oh, and I'm a woman by the way. We're not all like that, though I'll freely admit that most of us are.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
