Uhhh do you know how to read?? It very clearly said average "Like on average 1-3 kids versus 2-4 kids for poorer" See that word there * AVERAGE * ??? Are you trying to disagree with the numbers 2 and 3, or what are you even angry about? And the rest of your comment is baseless speculation. It's your speculation. What did I do? This is the growth rate of 3 children per woman vs 2 children per woman. There's no point talking about what future generations might do. You're trying to move the goal po…

Just replying to the math of your claim, you are very wrong about it being "marginal." I assume by 1-3 you mean an average of 2 kids, and by 2-4 you mean an average of 3 kids. With a lot of simplification, like assuming 50-50 gender split, then the 2 kid scenario will retain the same population. And the 3 kid scenario in 5 generations will multiply the world's population by 121.5. Edit: 3, not 2.5

Some professionals, such as Mary Koss from the University of Arizona, who published the first national rape study in 1987, even argued that men and boys cannot be raped by women. In a radio interview, Koss stated: “How would [a man being raped by a woman] happen… how would that happen by force or threat of force or when the victim is unable to consent? How does that happen? I would call it ‘unwanted contact.’” Not an expert on their rules, but I believe Psychology Today should be an accepted sou…

Thanks for trying. Did not mean to tear down your efforts. Just want to communicate to everyone that Wikipedia is biased, full of biased rule-lawyers, and not open to editing on controversial topics. (Still great on non-controversial topics.)

Primary sources are generally against the rules. These rules are enforced when they disagree with your idea. You need the feminist MSM to include the quote somewhere, and then they might still object.

Wikipedia has serious problems when it comes to controversial issues. There used to be a sub pointing out the shit SJWs do in Wikipedia and its problems, but people lost interest and the sub got taken over. The rules can be bent in ridiculous ways, and the rules tend to favor leftist and mainstream ideas, like feminism, since that's the bias the MSM has in its articles that you can reference. Leftists have control of articles like this. They can lock it if they want. You aren't helping by editin…

I think the "mansplaining" phenomenon is not entirely fictional, but it shouldn't be seen as men being condescending and seeing women as dumb or inferior; indeed, this explanation itself is guilty of casting men in a somewhat broad net as stupid. It can be better explained as men enjoy educating others on material they are interested in (see Wikipedia's "problem" that the vast majority of the content is made by men). Also, men enjoy showing they are knowledgeable/intelligent to women, because th…

That's a different subject. You are wrong about the pay gap. About the hires, do you think they are discriminating in favor of Asians over whites? According to that data in your link and the US census bureau, Asians are 11.4x as represented as whites in new hires, men are ~2x as represented as women in new hires. Does this prove they are discriminating against whites? Or do you think there might be different numbers of Asians and whites applying (biggest reason), and their average credentials mi…

Interestingly, people often take a response from a person or group they like as a stand-in for the actual incident. That is, a response implies a justification for that response. Crying? Someone made her cry. Women afraid of walking alone at night? They're oppressed by men endangering them. People ignore the fact that men are in more danger, as if women feeling more afraid is identical to being in more danger. Rioting? "A riot is the language of the unheard" (except when right-wingers do it).

Prove it. This is because the vast majority of blacks' murders are done in spite of their race (usually drugs) whereas the majority of violence towards whites is because of their race. Pretty embarrassing logic unless you have damn good evidence.

Good for you, I doubt most people do. Women tell me they like to wear sweatpants and whatever else they can find when they don't go out, definitely no makeup, and that's more or less how I dress when I stay in. Sorry, what do you mean racism, do you mean police brutality? There is far more sexual discrimination than racial discrimination. 20x compared to 2.5x if you look at the data. It isn't a one-or-the-other nonsense. Are you just feeling guilty that you don't focus on giving men their justice? On the topic of LGBT rights, there is no inconsistency with the fact of overlapping problems between communities. You'd have to demonstrate that women running against men were discriminated against. Women don't run as often. And there is a question of fitness, you have to consider comparable job contenders. Edit: Why don't we have an example, outside of politics: Let's say a high school gives girls higher grades in English class on average. Does that prove discrimination against boys? Well, there might be, or girls could just do a little better at it on average. It's even possible girls could be being discr…

The "cannot drive" rule applies to women in general and not just a specific subset. That's some real mental gymnastics. Let's say the KKK says to themselves "let's go lynch some black men" and then lynches 10 of them a year; would you say this isn't a problem for all black men, it's only a problem of the very small subset of black men who are actually killed?
/r/MensRights31/10/20 06:20 PM

You're literally wrong, women can drive in Saudi Arabia today. It's also strange you would compare this to a human right when I don't know anywhere it is considered a right - certainly not in the US. I don't care what women in that country supposedly claim to support as they are clearly pressured by their religion/husbands/fathers to support that egregious lack of human rights they allow their women. Nice unfalsifiable, circular claim. That's more or less what feminists say about literally every…

...The number says that 38% of bachelor's degrees go to males. I've heard this number a few times before, but I can't find a source on more recent years, this is a different one I found. The numbers have been going down over time for men.

If you're trying to pull the apex fallacy, "there aren't as many women at the top of power structures", I would like to see your source that women were homeless or imprisoned or tortured or killed or experimented on unethically at anything close to the same rate as men.
/r/MensRights18/09/20 04:24 AM

He said college graduates. And he's talking about those graduating in a particular recent year, not everyone who graduated decades ago. edit: here's a source for 2015-16, which is 54-64% of bachelor's degrees going to females, depending on race.

So if peace is stupid and violence is justified just because you want your end result, then lynching black people and genociding jews is perfectly fine. You don't disagree with means like killing people, you just disagree with who you should kill. This is awful and I see no difference between this and Communism or Nazism. You are antithetical to a working Democratic civilization, where ideas spread because they are good, not because one group is more violent, terroristic, and pieces of shit.

I don't get it, why is /r/askscience a BLM platform but not a men's rights platform? Shouldn't it be for neutral discussion/explanation - and if any political statements are allowed, any should be allowed? Also, why are you talking about black men, it's about black people. BLM seems to have no problem bringing up black women. In fact, at blacklivesmatter.com they bring up women's deaths and unrelated women's issues above men and their issues.

Welcome to a world where the trashiest guys on the planet father dozens of kids because they know they can legally and financially bail on them. I don't see why you are talking about men here and not women. Women can do the same and also get out of any parenthood or financial responsibility for child support. They also have the option of having a child and forcing him to pay her, in addition to benefits by the state, including some that single fathers don't get. Any system where men don't have a…

What happens then is the woman has the choice to abort, or give up for adoption, or abandon. It is entirely her choice if she wants to be a parent. So say it's opt-in. What happens when men are raped? I guess they didn't sign the contract so they are SOL.

Ok, although I am wary of UBI, it looks like we agree on a lot. Child support does need serious reform.

Then why does child support and alimony scale up with the man's pay? Why do rich men pay hundreds of thousands or millions to women a year, when the women are already rich? edit: Frankly, this thinking of UBI as a panacea is naive.

With the unquestionable BLM support taking over people and lots of subreddits, talking about men's lives is "whataboutism". Yet BLM talks about women. other than that it does take 2 to tango. By having sex, women are not non-consensually put into parenthood and paying child support. They have control of abortion, adoption, and abandonment. Women have the right to give up children. Just because one of these things, abortion, is sometimes used because the woman doesn't want pregnancy, doesn't change that fact. You're trying to change the topic to shame me and question how much I care about men's rights. I advocate through having discussions online where I can. The name of the game is changing minds. We were talking about participating in riots. You should not "peacefully protest" at riots that damage stores and beat and kill men and women. Floyd? I am not deaf to trying to satisfy everyone in bed. However, this difference is natural. It's more reproductively successful for men to prematurely ejaculate than to never ejaculate at all. Female orgasm probably doesn't matter reproductively, or only matters a little. Male and female genitals and orgasms are just different. Try getting off with anal stimulation, that's a third way, and that's certainly more difficult than penile stimulation.

I think killing someone should always be based on behavior and not biological characteristics the person can't change. A 10 year old with a gun would be very dangerous, more-so than some bodybuilder without weapons who isn't resisting. Keep in mind, we're concerned about police killing someone without good reason. Floyd should not have been killed because he was male and black.

Everything you said could be turned around on you. The sex gap is 20:1, the race gap is 5:2. Floyd was just as much a man as he was black. Who are you to turn this into a racial issue? The answer is this is not a zero-sum game, it doesn't have to be race or gender. And the invisibility of male issues needs to be dispelled. As far as going out to the street, I really think the riots now need to stop. It only harms the innocent who had nothing to do with the case. edit: fixed argument. Also, I am …

The risk factor for being male is 20:1. The risk factor for being black is something like 5:2. This is quantifiable, and sexism is 8x the effect of racism. White men are shot far more than black women. The data is in, and it says gender is the overwhelming risk factor.

Blacks are more aggressive too (based on statistically higher criminality and murderousness, as well as belligerency in their culture especially towards cops), but their death rate at cops' hands is only a little more than 2:1 5:2 compared to whites. There seem to be two definitions for the wage gap. The false one is that men and women are paid differently for the same job. The one you're using is that men and women make different choices and put in different effort in which gives men higher wages. We shouldn't use the word by its second definition. I agree but If it was truly ethical, men should have been protected too. I'm sorry but ethics vary. Saying women should be protected more is an ethical viewpoint just as much as saying both sexes should be protected equally. edit: if you want a common example of treating people differently that most people agree with today, it's that children deserve more protection than adults. E.g. children are treated with kid gloves in the criminal justice system. That is an ethical viewpoint.

True, it was traditionalist. But the traditionalist view was that women shouldn't be harmed with tough, dangerous jobs (women still sometimes worked, just not all the worst jobs). That is an ethical viewpoint, even if we don't agree with it.

I don't agree with that either. If you want to argue "well most/all politicians were men," that doesn't matter if they care about women's interests above men's interests.

I don't see the patriarchy (all men working to exploit all women to the benefit of all men) here. Capitalist interests would have been to treat men and women the same. Like they are now. More men run for office. Men, on average, quit working at later ages, meaning there's even more men running compared to women. This is especially important due to the nature of incumbency, where once you get a seat you generally keep it for many years, possibly until you choose to retire. Men, on average, are more work-centered. Men, on average, put in more hours at work. Men and women are different, and unequal numbers in different jobs doesn't mean discrimination (necessarily).

I already said that our society takes on the values of the rich. I'm sure you can think of many other examples where society as a whole seems to respect the interests of the rich against the poor even though the poor far outnumber the rich. Indeed isn't this what socialism says? Why should I need a different explanation for a phenomena we already agree on? This really parallels to me conspiracy theories about the Jews controlling everything, and pushing their agenda on others. I don't see this a…

I am pointing out that you make an argument that relies on the basis that Male and females are different sexes and claim that premise to be false. You agree with me that male and female humans are both humans. I'm confused. Yes we are different sexes but the same species. The sexes are two different reproductive modes within a single species. What is a society? "the aggregate of people living together in a more or less ordered community." So a group of people with agreed-upon values, Or many ind…

Ok, I'll go back first and answer a couple of points. First, I find this point interesting but entirely reliant on the idea that men and women are different species, which is just false. This is a misunderstanding, we are the same species. Presuming this is true then there are 2 possible alternatives, Human behavior is "Neutral to the survival of the species" or "Detrimental to the survival of the species", as you have determined that Human behavior is NOT "In favor of the survival of the specie…

You are correct, My point is women by nature of being able to give birth have inherent value, and Men have earned value. The men capable of providing, protecting, and conquering earn their value by becoming capable of such things. Men that never/refuse to become capable of those things never earn their value. I don't see what difference it makes if men vary in their value (women do too if you include infertility). See, if you have 30 men in a band they will on average do their job. If you have 2…

I don't buy that childbirth plays into it, I've never seen a convincing argument for that. I think it's the greater neoteny of women. Men and women are both neotenous, by quite a bit, compared to other apes. I believe there is a good social reason that this evolved. When in social conflict with someone, third parties are likely to see the more neotenous person as less agentic and empathize with them more. Alison Tieman gives a good example. On the other hand, men are less neotenous. This has to …

If a man dies, a woman can replace that man with a baby boy. If a woman dies another woman has to replace that woman with a baby girl. Yes, and a man provides, protects, and conquers during that time. In the past, without men, a society would be a natural target for pillaging and raping/marrying/killing/enslaving. So in order to even reach this point humans had to place value in women or their tribe/group/society/nation would inevitably fail. Allowing your groups women to needlessly die is to co…

So you're referring to racism and Jim Crow, which is vastly different from what we're talking about. Even now, black men are more likely to go to jail for rape than white men, though that's a whole separate conversation. Racism and sexism sometimes go hand-in-hand. I'm going to delete my other comment because it's just getting off-topic I think. I don't see how your ideas explain the universality of male disposability. Why do low class men value women over men. Why do women value women over men. These things are pretty universal and not limited to one "ruling class's" view of "lower class" men. In some places that does happen, because people want sons not daughters. It makes a difference of something like 5%. This is not my point, and only slightly because you have the sexes backwards. They litterally have safe women only train cars, why is that? I'm tired of this bullshit talking point. A culture puts in place a law or rule that protects women, therefore the evil men there supposedly made it necessary. Why does the US have the Violence Against Women Act? It's not because of gynocentrism, it must be because the men here in the US are especially violent, and male victims of DV are very few. /s

People have an intuitive, sexist idea that male sexuality is naturally predatory, and feminists definitely subscribe to this. Females are more choosy, so far more males have 0 sex partners. I forget the source (lots of sources only show averages, which aren't helpful), but a lifetime sexual partner histogram showed an extremely skewed portion for men: a HUGE number of men had 0 or 1 partners, and then there was a relatively thick band at high numbers of partners. The idea, I think, is that feminism freed men from traditionalism. e.g. women work more, instead of taking all their money from men. Which is kinda true but it's complicated. Feminism replaces it with their own discrimination, e.g. forcing men to pay women through the government.

There's a reason humans are all neotenous (retain childlike characteristics) - it helps avoid being seen as an agent in ugly social disputes, including violence. There is still a difference between men and women because we need to appeal to the other sex sexually, so men are a bit less neotenous. Advocacy is legally separate from incitement. Like I said above, many people have worn the shirt and nothing has happened. You don't have to like it, I don't, but the shirt cannot be illegal in the US, and you are supporting censorship by telling Amazon not to sell it. edit: if you want to counteract this, maybe make a shirt that says "boys are stupid throw rocks at them" on the back, and reverses the genders on the front. It is not a clear and present danger, so it is legal. A reasonable person would not read the shirt and shortly afterward throw a rock at a boy. This is one thing that's always bothered me. So many tales of discrimination against minorities are specifically against men. In simple terms, the "path" of evolution is plastic to the environment and occurs as a result of grand-scale generational-adaptation ("survival of the fittest") over an immense period of time.... etc. This description isn't bad, but it does not require species-level selection. I think they're arguing another factor. From what I have heard, marriage between groups outside of civilization usually involves the woman moving to the man's group. This means every chromosome except Y moves a lot, dispersing genetic diversity to each group. If lots of clans die off, lots of genetic diversity is preserved, except on the Y. The argument here, as I understand it, is that the likelihood of men staying in their group (rather than moving in adulthood) existed to a larger degree than…

I said MRM not MRA though the antifeminist is a better fit for KiA. Don't take this as a scolding, but you misunderstand these terms. I'm confused by this argument about "stealing" results, as they only apply it in this one case about Watson and Crick's double helix paper, and only Rosalind Franklin's research. I didn't know there was a law that said you can pay men and women different hourly wages for the same job You are mixing up multiple issues. First, you said that men and women get paid the same by the hour. This is trivially demonstrably false by showing men and women spend their hours in different jobs, but you know that. Second, you are assuming that all workers of a type of job must be paid exactly equally by the hour. What does this even mean, how do you tell if two people do the same job? I…

wage is what you get an hour, and that is equal by law apart from negotiated raises. This is absolutely not true. If you adjust for hours worked only, men are paid more.
/r/MensRights26/02/18 03:32 AM
-4

No, those are different wages. Wages are not hourly pay, they are earnings from a job. Edit: I've looked some definitions up and apparently it varies. Some most say it means hourly pay, but some say it is how much your job pays in total. However, whenever someone says "wage gap," they are definitely talking about total pay. I have never seen "wage gap" statistics that just look at average hourly pay, rather than average total pay from jobs.
/r/MensRights26/02/18 01:25 AM

I don't see how that changes anything. "Wage" and "earnings" are both terms for how much one makes. Earnings just includes extra things like stock dividends. Maybe a "work gap" or "effort gap", as armaadi called it, is more useful.

You should not get paid by your job for doing nothing, when your employer did not somehow make you unable to work. If there needs to be some special exceptions, it should be for gender neutral parental leave (or other things like sick and vacation leave). If women need to be treated specially in this way, then clearly men and women aren't equal employees and men should be preferred for jobs.

Your first two costs are based on cold utilitarian calculations that assume men should be used however the government sees fit. It is not fair that women do not share in the cost of military service under a draft. They should pay this as a responsibility of citizenship. I wouldn't say women are not believed. It's that women are seen as victims. When a woman claims to be a victim, e.g. of DV, people believe her. When the police or others get the idea that a woman is a victim, and the woman says she isn't, people don't believe her. What bothers me most about all of this is how Zoe Quinn uses her female identity to gain fame, by claiming victimhood. In particular, how she lies about wizardchan, causing them harassment, just to boost her career. Similar to Anita Sarkeesian. In the process, she furthers the myth that men in gaming are a problem. When there aren't any real victims, only professional victims will show up. On another note, I'm happy that 4chan is helping out that female game development project. Now SJWs will lo…

By food being spread more evenly, I bet they meant women are more likely to be part of a household, rather than living on their own. For example, a large majority of the homeless (normally single) tend to be men; I don't know of any country that is an exception to this. There is nothing fair about depriving individual men of food because they have no family or were kicked out by their wife. If they have some other rationale, I would need to see their evidence. Why does anyone still trust feminis…

Yeah, it is worrisome when we repeat a fact or statistic without a source. Off-topic, the fact that women spend most of the money in a relationship has been questioned and never given a good source. It may be bs. Back on topic, I looked it up and found two statistics mentioned and sourced on Wikipedia http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce_in_the_United_States under the statistics tab. 50% divorce rate and 70% initiated by women.

If abortion is only about control over one's body, and decision to become a parent is not what it's about, then why aren't women forced to adopt a child after an abortion? It's in the child's best interest. I would like your justification why not, since you think abortion is not about parental choice.

Susan Quilliam, psychologist and That's Life! agony aunt, said: "Women's lives are changing very fast and the fact they lie is an indication they're under pressure at work, at home and in their relationships, so sometimes they feel they have to bend the truth just in order to survive." Are you kidding me? Women in the western world are the safest demographic to ever live. The victim complex of this woman!

"He went on: 'That (the victim) was not in fact raped or seriously sexually assaulted is entirely fortuitous.'" "'That is plainly what you intended. As it is, however, the trauma inflicted upon her was, as can only be imagined, very substantial indeed.'" On a tangent, remember, people: a false rape allegation that does not put a man in prison does not mean all should be forgiven. The accuser deserves just as much punishment in such a case as in one that "successfully" imprisoned the man.

"Owning a sex doll is not a violent act. But as these creations come to look more and more realistic, their lifeless, prone silicone bodies are reminders of unequal gender power dynamics that play out in the real world. A doll is a woman-shaped thing that may bring a man comfort, may inspire devotion in him, and may drive away his loneliness. It will never challe…

I considered myself a feminist, or at least aligned with their beliefs, in grade school. I believed in equality, and thought feminists truly wanted it. I believed women got the short end of the stick sometimes, compared to men; so, while I wasn't really an internet poster at that time (90s) I had a white knight mentality. That looks like a relatively small sample of subreddits (and posts). In the US, women have supported the draft more than men, and women have been against female inclusion in the draft more than men. IQ averages change drastically every generation ("100 points" keeps being redefined to keep it an average). Almost like the environment is important to a growing mind. This has never been fully controlled for in studies comparing races. If we pretend IQ average gaps are based on genetic racial differences, though, it's funny how white people give white people a pass when Asians are superior.

Do you have numbers for men and women supporting female suffrage at any time? I was under the impression that typically neither sex finds it popular until shortly before it passes. Mechplasma already answered, but more broadly there has been a recent movement by feminists to fix Wikipedia. According to them, there are too many male editors. More men volunteering their time to spread knowledge = male bias, apparently. You should have seen their edit on how active a woman's egg is during fertilization. Many women who get wet are raped. Some even orgasm during rape. It's the same with men, an erection is the same as consent. I get boners when I'm not looking to have sex with anyone. A lot of it is physical sexual stimulation. Obviously, this is not consent, if the person says no, is unconscious, or is severely affected by drinks or drugs. The last part is subjective. That's the point. A man enveloping him and a woman enveloping him are not fundamentally different. I was hoping you would see the connection: if a man does not consent to sex, he should be protected from rape. There is no difference if you are penetrating it receiving. Mental illnesses often only start showing up in a person's late teens or early twenties. The idea that this is primarily caused by bad parenting is an old idea that needlessly shames relatively normal parents. The same mental illness often shows up in both twins in cases where they were separated at birth. Look up twin studies if you're interested, there's a whole field of research. To me, the last quote sounds familiar, and maybe the first one. They're probably real quotes from r/MR. They sound awful from a regular person's perspective, but they were made in the context of great hypocrisy on drinking and sex. If a woman drinks, she loses responsibility for her decisions. But if a man drinks, he keeps his.

/r/MensRights16/04/14 10:42 PM

Could you explain how you got the 78%? The only number I could derive was that American redditors are 59% white, assuming the number of white people in the sample represent white people overall in the US. And it is important to note that this only surveyed in the US.

There is also a problem with the "which of the following issues do you support" part. The percentage shown is out of the total points all the issues got, rather than what percentage of people voted for a given issue. Let me put this another way: hypothetically, imagine everyone polled voted for every single issue. Then each issue would show 14% (1/7, as there are 7 issues), not 100%.

I need to make a comment about this condom situation, it being seen as something the man has control over and the woman doesn't. Exactly my position. Women face a reduced chance of violence for being female - female privilege. Men in prison face an increased chance of violence after they're raped, and are just seen as easy targets. They are judged by masculine standards, and have lost all of their masculine value.
