Even though I had been living with the mother and paying bills, they backdated the order for two years. On the very day I was told to start paying child support I was immediately two years behind. Because of that I guess they think I'm a flight risk so they revoked my passport and suspended my driver's license. If I had any other professional licenses those would have been suspended too. I called and asked about getting the suspension lifted and they wanted $5k up front and if I messed a single …

If you owe child support that isn't an option. The day the court order came out they revoked my passport. I will never be allowed to travel outside of the United States.

They take away your ability to get a passport or if you have one they cancel it.

I don't mind my kid having a great quality of life. I want her to be as happy as possible and don't mind the financial cost of it. What I think is unfair is that when I try to improve the quality of my life I get penalized. What about the time that she spends with me, the noncustodial parent? Shouldn't I be able to give her the best life during the times she's with me? For example.... Lets say that I can maybe afford a small RV to live in. That's not really somewhere that little kids should be h…

Well just like the theory is that the custodial parent deserves to give the kid a better life... Shouldn't I be able to give her a better life for the times she's with me? Just because I work harder and increase my income doesn't mean that Mom deserves extra money and for her life to get better too. I gotta be able to support my kid when she's with me too.

If my kid wants a new game I can buy it for her. I know what Momma's bills are and I know what she pays for the kid. Just because my support is more affordable for me doesn't mean she deserves extra money.. While doing the same thing. I work harder... I deserve more money... She does the exact same thing... And suddenly deserves more money?

My issue with child support is that if I start making more money then the support can be raised too. Like if $100 in support is good enough on my $500 paycheck then why isn't it good enough if I'm making $800? That's the biggest thing that's killing my ambition. I just know that if I work harder and make more money then I have to spend more money even though the kids expenses didn't go up at all. It's just extra money for momma.

I've heard from hag's Daughter about the abuse she received growing up. Grandma has instilled so much fear and control that Mom won't do anything against her. Ive already seen sis-in-law raise her hand to a 4 year old and that child flinched. Abuse runs in the family. I guess I just have to wait for my child to be abused before I can do anything to prevent it? This family laughs about punishing kids with coat hangers and slapping them with sandels. I dony want my child abused but Grandma wants m…

So what can a Father do to legally prevent someone from being near his child? Me and Mom arent married but have been living together for 4 years. Within 2 weeks of my Daughter coming home from the hospital she was secretly put on a plane and taken from Florida to Grandmas house in Puerto Rico. Mom went with her. Dad was told nothing until the plane was already on the ground. Does Dad have any say in who is allowed near his Daughter or is just any ol Tom Dick or Harry allowed to be near her? Gran…

They were participating in the distribution of child porn which is illegal everywhere in the world (except prolly the Vatican but whatev...). Are you insinuating that /r/beatingwomen encourages people to go beat women? I'm much happier about the "hands-off" approach the Mods have taken and continue to take. Don't like a sub-reddit? Sit back and think about what benefits he will gain from marriage. None. Then, the Man should decide that he isn't gonna marry the girl, he lets her know that, and leaves it up to her to decide if she wants to stay. Then, the Man goes and (secretly) gets a vasectomy to prevent the Woman from stealing his sperm and holding him hostage for 18 years.

So, guilt trip Dad into paying for kids he didn't want/had practically nothing to do with their conception? I don't think it is logically fair to assume the Father will love the kids. Or even WANT to love the kids. Maybe I'm just heartless but I'd feel they were a constant reminder of what she did to me. I'm just trying to find the most logical solution and I still think some of the responsibility lies with the Maternal Grandparents. I've already heard the excuse that they shouldn't be held resp…

You're entirely correct that making anyone other than Mom handle this is wrong. But, we can't just let Mom skate and say that the kid is hers with no support. That isn't fair to the kids that had no say in whether they were brought into this world. This assumes Mom isn't able to support them on her own accord. If she can reasonably afford it, then hell yes make her pay every dime of their care. But either way, we have a child that needs food and clothes, and a mother that needs to be punished. N…

I agree that it's fucked up, but I see it as a better option than holding the Father responsible. If the Grandparents had raised a better daughter, she wouldn't do shit like freeze the sperm of another man and use it against his will. Make parents realize that they have to raise responsible adults or they will continue to be held liable. There is no blood relation between Father and Mother, they are practically strangers, BUT, there IS a blood relation between Mother and Grandparents. Parents ar…

The Dad doesn't deserve the burden. The Foster system doesn't deserve the burden either. The best thing that I can think of is to locate the Maternal Grandparents and make them support the child while Mom sits in jail. I'd actually appreciate it if someone could tell me a really good logical reason to NOT hold the Grandparents accountable for the actions of their children (in this case).
/r/MensRights29/05/11 05:50 PM

As much as I hate how this works, I have to ask: What good would it do (in the eyes of the court) to put Mom in jail for fraud? That would either A)Leave Dad to care for kids that aren't his or B) They go into the Foster system. I really hope someone can offer a C) option but I'm not sure what it would be. Unless, maybe, just maybe, Mom has some parents that can be obligated to care for the ill-conceived Grandchild?
