I know a friend like this, he will literally offer everything to a girl in hopes that he can impress her. I remember going out to the bars with him and he spends all his paycheck to buy these girls fancy drinks. It actually worked and they followed him around for an hour or two, but in the end, they didn't respect him, plus, we found out they both had boyfriends (who weren't in town). He's still single and probably always will be. Money doesn't buy true raw chemical desire.

My first gf was also Catholic. I agreed to raise them Catholic, but we also agreed to go to both churches... every Sunday. They split ended up being a big factor in why I broke up. I'll keep dating Catholics, but it's one of those things that adds an extra level of complication. I second this. I believe you can approach a girl and find her attractive without lusting after her. As you said, "it depends where your heart is."
