I would say that they haven’t changed the name because the movement originated for women’s rights which were way worse back when it started. If we have to rename a movement because of a small minority that is focused on by the opposition to make the rest of the movement look bad then nothing would really get done in terms of the goals of the movement. I see a lot of horrible radical men’s rights activists so I ask you, why not change your name to women and men’s activists?

Yes! Gender abolitionists rise up! Literally never heard a feminist go against this though so maybe you posted on the wrong sub?

Wow. Got me there. Look, I’m on a sub against the thing I’m for so at the end of the day, I’m not going to achieve anything. I can most likely guess correctly what you believe and what you will say to my points and now that you have quoted Peterson, I’m just gonna leave it here. Hope you escape 2013 (:

In similar work women on average are payed less than men and saying they aren’t as competitive is just bs
/r/AntiFeminists28/01/21 12:05 PM

I mean the gender pay gap doesn't mean every woman gets paid less than men and that men never get paid less. It is an average and on average women get paid less for the same jobs. Also, gender isn't the only factor, a lot of racial minorities are payed less so please consider that if you say a black man is getting payed less than a white woman. You can send links all day, they aren't actual arguments Here is something you will probably say is false Here is an interesting one that points out gend…

Jesus Christ dude. You know what you are saying? I can't believe you say this shit then complain that women think men are ignorant and terrible. Maybe you guys ruin the name for males with this stuff.
/r/AntiFeminists28/01/21 11:21 AM

Ahh yes, the argument that only women would be hired. Ever wonder why the pay gap existed (and exists)? Because women were thought and are probably still thought to be worse at jobs than men. Why would companies hire only people they don’t think so as well as men? And do you really think a man would only hire women? No. It would probably make them uncomfortable.

The problem is I cannot show you what feminists believe because it’s not an org it’s an idea. As shown by this sub there are many radicals who shit on the name and I really think that’s a problem. Fundamentally tough I do think feminism benefits men and women. Also I’m interested about that study. Mind sending a link? Be cool to find out why though I don’t think it’ll be because female teachers don’t want boys to succeed.
/r/AntiFeminists28/01/21 10:41 AM

So you gave me some advantages women have over men. I literally said that men and women have advantages over each other but overall men have more advantages or more significant one at least. I also pointed out that feminism DOES tackle these issues I even gave examples. Also, do you really think there is a complicate for female teachers to mark down boys in school? And of course there being more women has an impact. Girls genuinely just do better in school on average than boys so of course they …

How did you prove feminism doesn’t work towards equality? Also, now that education is a lot more free and girls are actually going to school, we have found out that girls generally do better in schools than men. Why do female teacher mark them higher? Probably because there are a lot more female teachers than men. I’d argue that is a result of toxic masculinity, women are thought of to be more caring and better suited for working with children so naturally they probably have more jobs associated…

“They are simply stereotypes” I completely agree. I don’t think there is anything biologically telling a man to not show emotion, in fact that used to be considered manly in many past cultures. I know it’s stereotypes. Also, I really don’t think schools teach boys they are bad for being men. I was never taught that. I do not think that men are bad whatsoever. Toxic masculinity are expectations or stereotypes associated with men that harm men and women. It’s not made up by feminists it’s a real t…

It’s cool that you sent me that because a few of those issues are the result of toxic masculinity, something feminism absolutely tackles. Toxic masculinity is expectations we have of men that aren’t too great. For example we are taught that men should provide and women should look after children. This is probably why less men win custody over children or why people find it weirder to see a man in a children’s park rather than a woman. We also expect men to be emotionally stable and strong which …

So I’m just gonna say that men absolutely do not have less pro eagle than women. Do women have it better in some areas? Of course. But overall you are probably better off living as a man than a woman. Also, feminism does actually tackle difficulties for men and women.

And there we have it, you just said ‘pay gap no exist’ and ‘feminism isn’t equal’. Those two things are just so untrue and it makes this sub just a bunch of horse poop

I originally called the whole sub cancer. You said no it’s about exposing the idiocy of feminists. I said that’s not really true either.
/r/AntiFeminists28/01/21 08:33 AM
2

Thank you bot. Toxic masculinity are expectations we have for men that aren’t really that great. Now, this harms both men and women. A lot of men just grow up and are ‘taught’ to be the strong leader over others (I’d say especially over women) which isn’t great if that isn’t really your kind of personality. Also, I hear a lot of people saying that men don’t get custody of children nearly as often as women an you know why that is? Toxic masculinity. We expect men to be the leaders who go out and …

Exposing radical feminists. Wow. Difficult. Having actual conversations with real people? Apparently not.

I’m pretty sure it’s called feminism because originally women were very oppressed but the movement revolves into rights for both genders

No, if you’re a penis holder you are male not necessarily a him. If you are a vagina owner then you are female not necessarily a her. I’m starting to get the “you are doing that too much” message so if you wanna carry on the conversation I would rather just dm you.

Ok you made a typo it’s LGBT at the very least, not LGB. We can prove sex, it’s a biological thing. What we have proven about it is true. We discovered sex and can look at the objective facts surrounding it. Now I ask you this, if gender isn’t a social construct, where did we find it? Did we dig it up in a desert or find it in the deep blue?
/r/askTRP22/01/21 11:00 PM
-13

Ok well biologically there are three sexes, intersex too. But for the sake of argument we will stick with two. Now, they are the gender they go by. That’s a fact. Sex is a biologically proven fact and gender is a social construct. Your name for example can be changed. If you get married and take your partner’s surname then you have changed your name. Now imagine some idiot refuses to call you by your new surname because that’s not the one you were given at birth. Sounds silly to me. That’s liter…
