This is/was my ex too. When I confronted her about it, she said the kids were privileged enough she didn't need to be there. When confronted by the kids she tried to blame me and convince them(and others) I was 'keeping her from them'. The kids see through it but it causes a lot of pain and drama that doesn't need exist.

He's your son you have an equal say in his life and what his routine is. The routine should be arranged to prioritize your child, and early in life the most important factor is having a strong bond with both parents.

It's not all women, she had issues. Just like you do, just like we all do. As time went on your two sets of issues became incompatible for her but not you. That sucks. Her not getting over her childhood trauma means she wasn't ready to commit to anything long term but did anyway. Learn from that for future relationships.
