I'm extremely pro life. No abortion ever except to save the life of the mother. So, I'm sympathetic. However, I've got family who are pro choice. You just love them. It's your responsibility. You don't have to agree with them on everything, on anything for that matter. OP, you sound like a weak, controlling person. Your fiance should really consider whether or not she should marry you. This is a major red flag.

Seriously, OP, you have a chip on your shoulder big enough to land a plane. You should work on that. We were all young and stupid in high school.

I think Moses is the problem, here.

Yeah, I think it's murder. However, the deceased had the last clear chance to stop it. When someone pulls a gun on you, it's time to de-escalate, get to a safe place and call the cops. Don't take this as victim blame. Just take it as a lesson. Live to fight another day.

I mean, value yourself and your time more than this. Leave this person alone. Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in the midst of his folly.

Realistically, think about the Dalits/Untouchables, in India. Men are useful, so they will be allowed a certain space in society, so long as women dominate all areas of opportunity.

I read in his original post and I was disturbed by the language and tactics he used. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand he tried to make her feel guilty, then he tried to turn her dad against her then he tried to bribe her. OP has some serious thinking to do. Christ is a servant leader.

I can think of at least two professional athletes I've heard of who hooked up with women they didn't know and wound up with criminal charges and civil suits. I'm not declaring them innocent or guilty. I'm just observing that there can be a financial motive for a person to accuse someone of rape. It's really not wise to seek an intimate experience with someone who is a complete stranger. Even just talking alone can be a risk.

IANAL, but I am aware of some people who were sued by a party they recorded and they were hit with a multimillion dollar judgment. Keep in mind, what was revealed was the truth, but the fact that it was recorded without permission became the basis of the personal injury.

Definitely illegal in Cali. EVERY party to the conversation must know it is being recorded. Don't give some overzealous attorney a chance to drag you into court.

Trying to find a way to protect my family from disruption. If I only had myself to consider, I would be more willing to fight. There are some great people there and I like the work. I'm definitely torn. I think there are a lot of men like me out there, putting up with bullshit every day to make a good life for their families. I'm going to stay engaged and take care of myself and my family.

Because my uncles Carl and Olaf would give it away... I'd have more luck with heels and makeup, I think.

My favorite quote in the training was, "One symptom of white privilege is thinking that it doesn't exist." So, you can just dismiss anyone who disagrees with you? Hello!!! Take a high school logic class! That's begging the question!

And so demeaning. It's as if they can't fend for themselves unless white men all pave their way. Does no one have any personal agency?

USA. It's something a lot of the major corporations are doing. I don't know how it's not outlawed. I guess it's because they phrase everything positively. We will increase the number of minority hires... We will increase the number of minority managers... They like to talk about impact vs. Intention. How about the impact of promising to focus on certain minorities?

You're very kind. I understand what you are saying. I have had some privileges in my life, but I don't think it's constructive to assume that every person who looks like me is privileged. I mean, years ago, one of my white male friends was addicted to drugs and worked as a prostitute. He had no privileges. I just think we should consider each other as individuals and not lump each other together based on some arbitrary attribute.

I don't think so. I mean, without getting too specific, I'm sure we have some government agencies as customers, but not the federal government.

No, I'm not. I'm in the private sector.

That implies she is not responsible and she most certainly is.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
