Why is her identity being protected by this newspaper? "Innocent until proven guilty" applies to everyone, not just people you like, and until proven guilty, their identity should be protected. Why did she get those two major charges dropped? I'd like to know myself, it seems weird. Why is she going to court of she already plead guilty? If you plead innocent, do you just get to walk free? There are no female infantry Marines, no matter what you think you've heard. What has happened, is that the Corps has started allowing female Officers to attempt to become infantry officers. They have failed, every one, because those standards are not being lowered. That won't last long; there are already calls to "justify" why the standards are so high that females can't meet them.

Tell that to the women who actually pass the tests to become marines and can carry just as much as men. Know how I can tell you've never been on a Marine Corps base? Female Marines are held to different, lower standards.

In our democratic, capitalist society, people aren't being sent to gulags for being communist. There are even fully communist political parties, and everyone is free to choose the political orientation that they feel is best. Lets compare that to a communist society. The NKVD would round up dissidents, who would then be either summarily executed, or shipped off to a labor camp in Siberia until they were worked to death. I think that the emblem should remain as-is. It's pretty damn clear that "equality" is the main thrust, just by looking at the logo. The huge symbol in the center was a dead giveaway to me. On a more serious note, trying to "glam" the logo up just comes across as pandering.

Well, no shit, man. Every country has homeless people, but Zaire doesn't have Bill Gates and Friends throwing the average off. In any case, income disparity doesn't mean shit in this situation, because even in the poorest areas, no one in the U.S. is starving to death outside of malicious neglect. Growing up, Mom got us most of our meals from Church donations, and I can't think of a single one that doesn't do food drives.
