just because that isn'T the main story doesn't mean it is a minor side story. at least in the first movie, that is really important to establish what MJ means to peter.

That's not what i was talking about. i don't know that situation. but she is definitely not a minor fucking role. what are you smoking? She is in most of the scenes. she has almost as much screentime as Peter and the goblin. But sure she is a minor character. i guess green goblin is not the main villain right?

No that is now what i am saying. But if you actually watched the movie, you'd know she is pretty important and not a "barely used side character" That's like saying Ron was a barely used side character in the first harry potter movie.
