I would agree but the problem is people keep listening to her. She's had stints in the mainstream media, on the Colbert report, got a massive paycheque from Intel and gets invited to speak at schools. What's the solution? I'm not really sure. Maybe we need our own Anita, someone proactive going out there and spreading the truth. Phimosis doesn't occur until you are in puberty, it can be treated with circumcision then if the victim wants (which they almost assuredly will). I would argue it's already extremism when you're talking about cutting off a part of someones dick. This is the exact logic you are using, and in fact it doesn't even encompass the full scope of the problem because people use UTIs to justify circumcision which can be dealt with by a 10 day antibiotics course. No one is asking for a system where simply making an accusation that doesn't result in a conviction is considered a false accusation and you are punished for it. Indeed. In my eyes, the MHRM is simply something temporary, a way to get the message out there that hey, men are faced with serious issues as well. Once society starts treating men's issues with remotely the same level of gravitas that it approaches women's issues, I think a general human rights/egalitarian movement is ideal - rather than one which specifically allies itself with one gender, (even if purportedly only in name).

I think they seem to miss the fact that getting accused of rape can ruin your life regardless of whether you are convicted or even brought to trial. Absolutely. Make a scene. Put on some blue collar working clothes like the other poster suggested and show up with a sign telling a bit of your story, pointing out that men are victims of domestic abuse as well etc. This is the only way we are going to get noticed, and men are going to have any chance of equal treatment instead of being vilified in regards to this.
