I understand not going to college if you're going to do a trade only. But if you're going to be working IT, to get the higher-paying jobs you need to have a degree as a prerequisite before you even are allowed in the door. Many high paying jobs require a degree as a prerequisite so I think it's extremely disingenuous to say that degrees are useless. They're only useless depending on the situation.

I once got pulled over doing 115 in a 45. I immediately accepted fault apologized, and took the ticket willingly because doing double over the speed limit is immediately an arrestable offense. The cop even brought down my speed to 90 on the ticket since I was so agreeable. Then I just took the ticket to court and got it dropped a few months later. Work smarter not harder.
