I dont think this was their point, but there is a philosophically consistent angle to this. There is only individual rights. Rights are not granted by the categories, subcultures, race, wealth or background. Rights exist inherent in your humanity.

The problem with the boomers is that they got in control, then pulled up the ladder after them. Master HVAC installer guy.. didnt have to start by spending thousands of dollars on licensing and insurance. They only pushed for these new rules AFTER they were situated and making money. It forces their competition (millennials entering the market) to jump through a lot more hoops then the previous generation had too. Its like this for so many productive industries its absolutely crazy.

I used to have these arguments with my best bud. We would scream at each other about stupid shit. I am not commenting on this specific instance. NPR has been dropping quality and missing the real conversation for about 2 years now. They talk about "what the government can do for us" without discussing the growing lack of government credibility. Ive heard snowden coverage with no pro-snowden side. Ive heard social justice warriors speaking ill of others without presenting evidence. Its like they still think the baby boomer perspective on reality is the consensus.

Anyone else ever notice that the "no-doxxing" rule basically entirely neuters reddit as an actual activism site?
