Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. However, Civilization cannot continue to exist, let alone properly function and flourish with ever continuing shakeups caused by overreactions to status quo of society. Western society has gone through too much of just that. Eastern society on the other hand has remained close to tradition and had thus continued to thrive. Iran, Afghanistan, India, China, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, etc. have all risen, fallen and risen again. Each of these civilizati…

A clump of cells has zero will. It's not a clump of cells. It's a baby! You can't kill something that isn't alive. Being alive is indeed a pre-requisite for murder, and being born is indeed a pre-requisite for being alive. There's a reason you can't count a fetus as a dependent on your tax return. It is in fact alive. Especially the moment it has a heartbeat, which is after 6 weeks. Life begins at conception! Not birth! The moment the sperm enters the egg of the womb and fertilizes it is the mom…

Wrong! Life begins at conception! Furthermore, after 6 weeks the baby has a heartbeat going and that is when it is truly alive! Therefore the woman does NOT have the right to kill an innocent human being with a heartbeat going! There have been documented instances of several babies born prematurely at 21 weeks and have lived a little while outside of the mother. See here: Earliest premature baby ever now a toddler

It’s not selfish to not want to look like a popped balloon, have stretch marks, piles, linea nigra, a torn perineal region, torn clit, fistula, varicose veins, broken coccyx, back pain or ligament damage. WOW!! You literally just described all of the reasons NOT to get an abortion! It's not because of life-threatening situation, not in the case of rape or possibility of the baby dying in the womb anyhow, but because of the belly being extending and getting stretch marks!? You don't give a damn a…

It is not up to anyone else but the woman who has to carry the child to decide whether or not to terminate. What choice does the baby inside of the woman have? She has no right to kill a separate human being! Also, a man puts his sperm and fertilizes the egg within the uterus to begin with! So the man does have a say so! Or at least should have a say so! It takes two! Doesn't matter if the woman goes through changes or not! The well-being of the child inside of her trumps all else because it's a…

Are you kidding me? The women get to kill their baby against the baby's will, yet the man can still be compelled against his will to pay for killing it? No! This isn't about either the man or the woman, it's about the child. Aka, a separate human being growing inside a woman's body! Still a person. It is murder!
/r/MensRights12/10/19 01:04 AM

Again! What choice does the human being growing insider of the woman have? She should have no right to murder a child! It's a different person! Doesn't matter if it's unborn!

I would not want a court to have the power to decide what happens to my body, because this is so personal that I would feel infringed in my human dignity (laid down in art 1 of my country's constitution). That's not your body growing inside you. It's a separate being! A live baby growing inside you that has it's own physical form apart from your body. You just happen to be it's carrier. A man fertilizes the egg of yours, but what grows inside it is an entirely different being. It's not an extens…

I agree with what you said. The abortion dispute is COMPLETELY bias against the man! If the man wants to keep the child, but the woman doesn't then the man should be able to file paperwork and become the sole guardian. Women might be able to get pregnant, but not without the sperm that the man put in her uterus to begin with! It takes two!

Smarter people wait too long to have kids because they want stability and a *compatible partner. Hence another problem. People need to have children in their 20s, rather than in their 30s. But costs need to go down too in order to make this happen. Not to mention people need to grow up faster mentally as they did 60 years ago prior to the Sexual Revolution! At the same time, it's also never good to rush into having children too early. Hence, there must be a balance. Something that is currently v…

I beg to differ. There have been a few times where the doors have been shut before. The Enlightenment Era was more Liberal than the Romantic Era (19th Century). Much of the stuff that emerged in the 1960s-70s was an extension of the Bohemian Ideal. Then of course the Puritan Era was conservative than the Renaissance Era. I could go on listing more exmples through history of the pendulum swinging back and forth. What needs to be done now is have society return to modesty!

Overpopulation has long been since debunked! The entire human population can fit shoulder to shoulder in Texas alone and could easily inhabit all of New Zealand or Indonesia altogether. Humans tend to live in cities these days and they become overcrowded. Thus giving the illusion of the world being overpopulated. Try spreading out to Siberia or Amazonia or the Sahara or maybe all three! Greenland and Antarctica are also viable options despite being icy cold! The truth is that too many people are…

It depended on which Evangelical group. However, you're right about Catholics. Orthodox and Mainline protestants held a similar stance that Catholics did as well. Evangelicals have always kind of been a more loose group of Christians until the Fourth Great Awakening happened in the 1970s, but that's for a whole different topic altogether.

That mentality that you speak of came after the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s. Prior to that, abortion was truly considered murder, a mortal sin and women would be shamed for even considering it. They'd be brutalized for going through with it. But the Sexual Revolution turned this upside it's head. Then in the 90s, the old mentality of the 50s and prior came back with a fiery vengeance!

Maybe they want to keep their babies because they value having children regardless of being married or not? So you're saying that because they aren't married to the men who knocked them up that they should abort the baby because it's a potential inconvenience for them when it comes to dating!? Or is it an inconvenience for a man wanting to date them? Not all women are going to abort their babies just because of their dating prospects being lower! There are many women out there who are pro-life! …

Perhaps we need an update to marriage so it isn't unattractive to young people nor to poorer people. The way to do that is to make sure Young People don't get with partners based on physical attraction first and then everything else second. they weren't expected to get married in their early twenties. Say what? The standard for marriage back then was for a man to marry a woman half his age + 7. Men had to marry in their mid-late twenties. Thirties was on the edge. Whether they married or didn't, men would have worked. And the men who married often the perks of raises and promotions, because companies favored married men. Men had no choice but to work! You read that article correct? So you don't believe that we as a species could be facing extinction? Assuming that the number of births don't go down and the number of deaths don't go up, we could still have a chance of surviving, but I'm skeptical.

The problem with that is the potential loss of habitat could very well increase. Add to the fact that aging is a continued factor here as well. The OP couldn't have said it better when he pointed out that the Sexual Revolution caused people to delay marriage and family by a decade. Keep in mind that our 20s are prime fertility years and after 30, sperm and egg count for men and women drop. Also, even if it' just around 30 people over 110 years old still alive, that still makes a difference. Beca…

I feel you on that, personally my ideal situation IF I meet the right partner and IF I have kids..would be to have a self employed business from home, that way I can spend more time with my kids. Men did too have to make sacrifices. A lot of times they couldn't get the ideal career they wanted. The affairs weren't as common as the media likes to portray it. Both my Mother and my Grandmothers did the same thing. They didn't see it as being household drudges as much as they did see it as a good thing for their children and wanted to spend time with them more. Exactly this! This is also the reason why both men and women have become more shallow and superficial when it comes to picking a romantic partner. Social Programming was different back then, it promoted marriage and children as a #1 priority. NOW, women especially are openly encouraged to be promiscuous and be sexually active before marriage! Men are also openly encouraged to have sex with as many women as possibly before marriage.

Amen! Women have become shallower and more entitled when it comes to what kind of guy they want. It went from women wanting a man based on what they had in common with morally and his ability to provide for her to wanting a man based on physical attraction in order to get the best sexual gratification off of him. Hence the real reason why divorce rates have been so high since the 1960s! Because people rush into marriages based on sexual gratification, lack proper commitment and common values and…

I believe the current climate we're in is a combination of all the points the OP made above as well as the state of the economy in terms of cost of living, higher standards by employers and corporations (must have a BA to get anywhere now) and the fact that Fourth Wave Feminism has caused women to want to be dominant over men! Honestly, women need to have the proper social programming they used to have prior to the 1960s. In this case, modern should try to copy off their Eastern (Asia) Counterparts when it comes to selecting a man to be with. Proper social programming needs to be implemented: This will irk a lot of people, but take a good look at life prior to 1960. Whether you like it or not, marriage was far more stable, relationships were about what partners could do for eachother, not what they can get out of one …

I may not be at the same level as a lot of ppl in terms of wealth (middle class), but I'm not at the level of dirt cheap either lol. Aside from wealth, another thing about relationships and marriage is experiencing the world around you and the hardships together. As long as you are committed to it, nothing else should truly matter by comparison.

I wish to be a creative writer for comics and video-games since I've loved this at an early age. Problem is the market for that jobs-wise is DEAD in the South as companies like Bethesda or Image Comics won't bother to move over there. Poland does have CD-Projekt Red, a great game company going for it which is thriving btw. And no, I never use religion as a shield or sc…

I grew up in a traditional Conservative Methodist household! Going to church for ulterior motives is against my code of honor.

I agree with that. The problem is I live in f-cking Florida of all states. Closer to Miami to be specific and it is practically void of the churches that represent my values. I'm well aware that I have to compromise when it comes to characteristics, but the baseline that I'm seeking in a woman shouldn't be too much to ask for. At least I would hope not anyway.

What I mean by modest is dressing conservatively more often than not, acting mature and taking life seriously more or less. Similar to a lot of women who work in the offices in medical field or finances. What I mean by traditional is women who are more reserved, religious to some extent and when married, prefer to stay at home (similar to the 50s-80s). Morality falls into this category as well. I go to bars and I can't help but ask why no women of this caliber are there. EDIT: I will say, I do p…
