MGTOW isnt a sexist ideology. Unfortunately a small, yet vocal, group of hurt men lash out against women while flying the MGTOW flag. I agree with the MGTOW ideology but I refuse to call myself MGTOW because of the vocal minority that make it look so horrible.

Family courts need to change. But the law that says an adult cannot take a child when they don't have custody should remain.

I think your first answer, specifically the "and I judge abortion" part makes your post read as if there's a right answer and s wrong answer and, if we don't agree with your opinion, then we will be flamed. I'm anti-abortion. Not because I judge abortion or women who get it. I'm anti-abortion because I think killing other humans is bad, regardless of whether the other human relies on other people to survive. I also am anti-killing people who are in comas (they also rely on other people and machi…

I think you might not get a lot of responses here. Your post very much reads as an angry person trying to make MRAs look bad...

Aside from being comically rediculous, a sex contract would not protect you legally. Both you, and your partner, can retract consent at any time. Therefore a contact would simply indicate that they provided consent on X date and Y time.

Not sure what youre looking for here. Do you expect us to get angry or something? Seems like something that has nothing to do with men's rights? She's right to teach her daughter to protect herself and be cautious. There are very bad people out there that prey on young women. If it was up to me they would be castrated if found guilty in a court of law.

Touting a statistic about either mostly male or mostly female is idiotic. They're trying to force equality of outcome which is a funamentally flawed idea. What is needed is equality of opportunity. They need to be open to both genders, regardless of what the job is, and hire whoever is most capable.

I fail to see how being an asshole to women positively effects men's rights. You do realize that this isn't a page for trolling feminists, right?
/r/MensRights17/05/20 01:10 AM

No it's not. Signing a ticket is agreeing to either pay the fine or show up at court for your hearing. If you refuse to agree to show up to court then they'll keep you in jail until your court date. It's pretty simple.

It doesn't have anything to do with alt-right or incels. You're absolutely right. But that's not how other people view it and it has nothing to do with men's rights activism.
/r/MensRights08/02/20 08:08 PM

Not really. It's about men's rights. Too many people bring up political bullshit here and thats why us MRAs are frequently referred to as alt-right incels.

You literally posted statistics about less women wanting to date men then called it a men's rights issue.

Less women wanting to date men is not a men's rights issue. We have no right to women or marriage. Nor should we have rights to women or marriage.

That’s an entirely different question. I would give my life to protect my sister or mother. I would also give my life to protect my father. Gender or age has nothing to do with it. The interpersonal relationship is what decides it. Asserting that I, because I am male, have a responsibility to sacrifice my life for any woman or child is a lot different than me saying that I’d give my life for my loved ones.
/r/MensRights18/11/19 08:48 PM

I read your whole post. When anyone says that you’re required to do something, like risk your life for random strangers, because of your genitalia - that’s sexist.
/r/MensRights18/11/19 03:56 PM
21

“I wouldn’t call it sexist. It’s an old conservative mindset.” You made an assertion (“I wouldn’t call it sexist”) and then follow it up directly by saying it comes from human history. Most people would read that as your justification for why it’s not sexist.
/r/MensRights18/11/19 02:53 PM

Historically women in most societies stayed at home to cook, clean and raise children as well. Historically women were sold from family to family (that’s what marriage was). Etc. etc. Just because something has a basis in human history does not make it non-sexist.

It’s not my responsibility to die to protect women and children just because they weren’t born with a penis. The person who made the comment is sexist. The news source not necessarily.

Men's rights is not inherently anti-feminism. I've never heard the terms first-world feminism and third-world feminism. I think you meant first-wave, second-wave, and third-wave feminism which has nothing to do with the country in which they reside.

There is a difference between a right and a requirement. The United States does not recognize a right to an education like we recognize the right to vote or the right to free speech. https://www.educationdive.com/news/should-the-us-constitution-guarantee-a-right-to-education/543243/

I didn't use the term "whining" because that would be condescending. I'm not saying that it's a bad idea to discuss some societal issues people face. I'm simply saying that it's not a right that is being opressed. You do not have a legal "right to an education".

I don’t think the MGTOW thought process is toxic but that sub is. I’ve seen people get banned just for asking about the ideology. One of which I had a multiple-day PM conversation with regarding MGTOW ideology. She was extremely respectful and curious but MGTOW banned her for not being an MGTOW. While it’s an interesting argument, it’s really a moot point because the technology does not exist. Well, at least not the way that the female birth control works (temporary infertility with no major long-lasting effects). It’s fine though, she’ll just continue to whine to every man about how the patriarchy is unfair because she has to take a pill - even though it’s not up to us.
/r/MensRights22/06/19 02:40 PM

I clearly did not use the word majority, so I'm not sure why you're conflating those two words. My point is that, unless society as a whole generally shares the same opinion, his/her argument needs a logical basis. His/her argument of "abortion isn't bad because I said so" is not a valid argument. Just as the argument "abortion is bad because I said so" is not a valid argument.
/r/MensRights18/06/19 12:29 PM

You do realize that a significant portion of the population is against abortion, right? I'm not saying that your opinion is wrong or right - I'm just saying that your argument is based on your personal morality which, clearly, not everyone shares.

There is definitely a crossover between this sub and r/MGTOW and many of its members are shared. With that said, there is certainly a difference between the subs with r/MGTOW seemingly much more combative towards feminism. r/MGTOW is Tom Leykis and this subreddit is Stephen Molyneux

IMO, this isn’t really discrimination. Most definitions of discrimination include words like “unjust”. Insurance companies charge young men more than young women because they are more likely to cost the insurance company more money. Charging men more than women for car insurance is just as valid as charging more if you live in an area that has high crime rate. Both situations increases the insurance company’s risk.

What’s so interesting is that their whole thread is them complaining about men speaking about their own issues. That thread is the epitome of hypocrisy. There’s this common misconception in the feminist movement that MRA is anti-feminist. While many men (both in and out of the MRA movement) do not agree with a lot of third-wave feminist ideology, we are certainly not their antithesis. To be fair, I see similar hypocrisy here occasionally.

What supernatural deity does MGTOW worship? In the early scriptures of the Buddhist religion, there was a lot of talk of "devas" which were supernatural deities. Christianity worships Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Ghost as their supernatural deities. MGTOW does not have supernatural deities. That is a major reason why it is a philosophy and not a religion...

War is defined as “a state of armed conflict”. For obvious reasons, I’ll remove the “armed” part and define the term “gender war” as “a state of conflict between men and women”. Now, what is MGTOW? MGTOW are men who recognize that long-term relationships bring a net negative to their life. This philosophy is not about hating women or engaging in conflict (verbal, physical, or otherwise) with women. This philosophy is about recognizing that we, as men, are better off in this society to refuse sta…

Yeah, we’re all human though, right? There’s pissed off women in the feminist subreddits that reflect a very small subset of their general population. These women tend to get more attention though because they are generally louder and more abrasive than the rest. Similarly, we have some members who are a bit more abrasive than the general MGTOW population. It’s important that we, as a society, do not base our opinions on those most abrasive but rather base our opinions on the majority. To be cle…

I always looked at “men going their own way” as a collective group of men who are not conforming to societal expectations. It doesn’t need to be a single man going his own way in isolation. Humans are social beings. MGTOW are still human. Edit: I will say that I seem to be much more apathetic towards women than many people in this subreddit. Incels are people who are unable to find a relationship with women despite desiring one. MGTOW are men who recognize that marriage brings no benefit to them and don’t feel a need to have relationships. TL;DR: Incels want what they cannot have, MGTOW does not want what they can have.
