This is golden advice.. "articulate your position with a court, not your ex"

Hey all your documents in place and go for litigation. The law does not care about the cry baby, they have a formula which does not accept emotions as input.

You need to find a gf who can beat yours ex at her own game..

So my question is, did you just take off with your new gf after 20 yrs of marriage? That will explain what’s going on with your wife currently. And your coldness regarding her condition also suggests something about you.

Like her other relationships(friends and family) and credit score.

All bets are off.. and remember if though she is guilty, don’t underestimate what she is capable of. Men tend to fall out of love slowly as compared to women, and so most of the time they are still in love while the wifey is planning weapons of mass destruction. All of us have been there.

She has definitely not been good to me or taken any responsibility of the fall out.

As much i know her, I think its mostly to avoid dealing with reality .

We all have our own process of dealing with a sudden loss.. I went on like 30 dates before covid made me realize that I needed to spend time with myself and not repeat the same mistakes that I have in choosing my last partner. For that I needed to go through complete transformation in certain aspects of life.

May be it’s time to get into new things, things your ex would have never appreciated with you.

That would bring to you the joy of freedom. I had a similar moment when i went to by DC myself. Didn’t have to plan for the entire family, leaving the dog, making sure everyone's need is met during the trip.. I could just be myself and enjoy it.

There were so many red flags that i ignored. Like her not having any relationship with immediate family, lack of a career and self esteem and a messy house.

You will have to start peddling soon..That's the only way out. One of the way to do so is to set yourself a vision of yourself..

Ohh I have seen it all. After a point my ex’s social media posts only served her with embarrassment.

This might be the best thing that happened to you. I have been in your position where I really cared for someone who didn’t. Adults learn through fear and shock mostly.

Above all, do not underestimate her lack of guilt and propensity for vengeance..

You can go and date as well. I was in this rabbit hole as well till i had to be legally forced to be away from her. In hindsight it was the best thing that happened to me. I got into shape and found out there was some lovely women who would want to meet me..

These women are quitters for life. They are the same who would quit a job when they are being pushed to do better, will quit the graduate program they were so passionate about. Quit raising disciplined kids because it's so much work.. They end up regretting a lot in life in general.

Every time I think my situation is worst, I see someone like you who is going through hell and still at least trying to keep afloat. My advice is to have a stoic frame of mind for now. Don’t react to what she is doing. You have gone through a lot, you don’t want to invite more chaos right now unless it’s really unavoidable. Give it some time and then file for a divorce/seek counseling.

I did not have a job when my wife left me and sent police after me. Get a job first after doing everything to restrict your wife from taking your daughter to Japan. Getting a job will help by Increasing your self esteem. More finances for legal stuff. Keeping your mind occupied. Helping meet more people to share stuff with.

i don't have a kid with her, but are you saying this is going to reflect on my record in future. My attorney said it won't.

This is an eye opening account. My sbtx and I don’t have a kid together but I am afraid she is going to use my stepson for getting back to me. Doesn’t all this cost them money also?

I have been separated for 3 weeks now. i have been responsible mostly since in the fear of my own safety , i did something i should not have done during the fight. She planned and moved out after a week. I have sent apology emails many time, seen a therapist, met her in person and gave her flowers. She said she needs 3 months to sort things out, and i have given her the space since then. She said she will try couples therapy after that. But she has been talking really bad behind my back and i do…

I have lost my job as well amongst all this.. and i have a hard time going through interviews with an unmotivated state. I have started hosting travelers though couchsurfing to avoid social isolation. That part is fun..

My wife suffered some extreme trauma as a kid at the hands of her family members. Life threatening if she is to be believed. She also grew in a very sexist home/state of utah.

Wow this totally makes sense. When we were dating one of the times , when my then gf try to make a mountain of a mole , her son said “ She is playing victim”. Somehow she is also trying to encourage the same behavior in him which I am against. Yes you are correct. I have shown her my love and if she does not make an attempt to repair this relationship, it’s a sign she will not make any attempts to keep this relationship going. It’s a thankless job for me after that.

No it was not. My Wife is American. Recently i went to her work place and gave her some flowers, I also told her i was going to personal therapy. She was still angry but i could also see she felt emotional in my presence. She has asked me to give her space for 3 months..I think she is under stress about a new job and finding a new place to settle (she is living with her cousin right now). Then she is willing to attend couple's counseling with me..
