- Cinderella (Step mother & both sisters) - Mathilda (Both parents and the infamous headmistress) - Tangled - To a certain extent the Harry Potter spin off's, the Obscurus guy was abused by a woman. - Literally every season & episode of Dance Moms imho, and there's never a hero :( - There's a bunch of Criminal Minds episodes with abusive women in. (I'd also high recommend Criminal Minds as a show in general tbh, it's pretty a-political as far as most entertainment goes these days)

That's the most backward shit I've ever heard, definitely cheating. That's cheating, and knowing it's cheating, and trying to accuse you of homophobia to save face, which is pathetic.

Out of curiosity - what *is* the general stance i this subreddit re; bathroom/changing room issues? Should they be sex segregated, or should it all be open & gender neutral in your opinions & Why? Do you factor in trans people with your thoughts on this or not really? (Genuinely just asking, not trying to push any narrative one way or the other just this is the first time I've seen a bathroom related thing come up here, and the comments so far seem to be very much in favour of un-gendered restro…

Agreed - But at the same time it's the society we live in rn and I can't see that changing anytime soon, so I'm at least hoping it'll open the doors in a meaningful way at some point during the time we're stuck with it for more talk about toxic femininity.

Everything in this video, also - 5 years old, so not exactly a recent development; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJUZfcSSApM&ab\_channel=KyleMylo

Still can't find the exact clip I have in mind, but here's a 2 year old video showing how disgusting women can be re; sexualisation - The intro is a bit obnoxious but if you skip past it the clips it shows are perfect examples, and you can see how hard Henry's trying to keep it professional and not creepy - It evokes so much cringe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g3DK1onSSw&ab\_channel=tossacointogeralt

Thank you ;o; I really didn't want to shut anyone down, just offer some additional input and also some extra suggestions for double standards from a more female pov that maybe might not have come to mind straight away, ie movie sexualisation

Likely both tbh, but Henry Cavill for sure in the main stream rn - The way Henry's being treated atm is vile. He can't even escape it from his co-workers. The women who play Yennifer and Siri are both really obviously undressing him with their eyes in multiple interviews. It's grim. I can't find the clip I'm thinking of atm, but it's a specific interview with those 3, female interviewer I think, and a black background if anyone finds it.

Sorry you got downvoted a bunch, I can guess why, but even so, I liked how you didn't agree with certain things but you explained why and gave your perspective without shutting anyone down or taking away from anything. I do maybe have some counters to your counters perhaps though? "This probably comes from the fact that most time mom IS the one taking care of the baby. My assumption is if someone calls herself a "wine mum", she still takes most of the responsibility but is happy in the situation…

Totally with you on the "Her truth" part now you've explained a bit further - I think the idea of "anyone" have one specific truth is really dangerous honestly :/ I was always taught that "There's 3 sides to a story, yours, mine and the truth" so I guess I hold onto that as much as I possibly can in the face of all this "personal truth" bollocks. Thank you for your kind reply - I was honestly expecting far more scepticism in response to my comment, I've been a lurker for years at this point and …

Been a lurker here for a good few years tbh - I don't usually comment because I see others comment and they're met with (rightly so) hostility because feminists subs 100% do raid here from time to time. Never been big on the whole feminism thing - It always felt "wrong" because I didn't understand what rights men had that I didn't, and I never felt "less than" growing up and I actually liked the idea of being a housewife & mother when I grew up so feminism shitting on all of that and just flat o…

I agree with this list to an extent, but I have some feedback if I'm allowed to give it? I feel like you can also apply a lot of these the other way around; A man who sleeps around is using women for their bodies. A woman who sleeps around is exploring herself. (A man who sleep around is a stud, a woman who sleeps around is a hoe.) A man who dates younger women is taking advantage. A woman who uses older men for money knows how to play the game. (can't think of a positive spin, but these women a…

(Sorry in advance, noob with reddit and can't do the fancy quotes to reply to each bit, but I'm going in order! :) Men do have unprotected sex with women that they're not 100% sure is on birth control though, I've literally seen men do this and then moan - They do exist, and they need to take accountability in the same way as women who don't consider their precautions carefully ought to. (Not saying this happens both or either ways, but it should be the precedent) Totally agree w/ the rest thoug…

I hear you for sure, and don't get me wrong - Context permitting, I do actually agree with things like paper abortions. I was just kinda enjoying the thought experiment of that hypothetical scenario. Stemming off that though on a more serious note, Family Court as a whole needs a drastic re-work and "un-biasing" for that to even work. Context needs to matter, and actually mean something. If she said to you she's on contraception and she's not, that should matter. The same if it's been made clear…

Hence why then contraception (female and male) is still being used though, no? Or alternately just not having sex with someone? I don't get why the sterilisation is being forced on anyone - If you don't want kids you don't want kids, you should be able to choose that for yourself, right? Or am I still missing the point? x-x Edit; I think maybe I explained it poorly. I mean if the men and women that don't want kids ever are sterilised whenever w/ no discrimination, then there's no issue to begin …

"We wouldn't need abortion and could completely outlaw it if neither sexes were discriminated against and allowed to be voluntarily sterilized." Maybe I'm having a stupid moment here, but honestly though... aside from cases where there's no consent, hypothetically would women in that universe even have a need for abortions to begin with? If the men they're sleeping with are sterilised(because not wanting to be fathers), and the woman's on contraception, then realistically the only time they'd e …

Sexism? Lol. Nah. It's almost as if doctor's just want you to be 10000% sure before you go through with a medical procedure and as people age they tend to change their minds and "reversing" isn't always straight forward :')

What get's me most about the "pick me girl" shit from other women is the fact that they're the one's who spout off about women's choices and freedoms to think and act for themselves, and not needing no man, and they're the very first one's to be "You're just doing this to impress men". As if you could only possibly think that men face their own issues because you're desperate and single, and you lack the capacity to think for yourself.

As far as I can work out, it's because "What rights don't you already have?" But they don't realise that that can also be applied to them. There's no self awareness. I also get the impression people don't understand what "rights" even are. Men's rights, Women's rights, gay rights, trans rights - if the whole point is equality, then why are all these sections of people fighting and arguing over who "needs more rights" (whatever that means). Shouldn't everyone have, oh Idk... Maybe.. The SAME righ…

That being said, if it's a medical issue like a heart attack or something, I'm staying right by your side on the phone to 999 and doing everything they tell me till you're with the right people. That's not a physical capacity kind of help, and if you don't help someone in that scenario because of their gender or for really any reason, you're a cunt and you 100% let that person die :')

I think it kinda depends on how the people who responded to the pole "took" the question in the first place. If we're talking morally, I'd stop to save anyone regardless of gender or who they are, what they look like etc. If we're talking in reality though? I'm 4ft 11.5 inches tall and not the most athletic or strong, I could stand a reasonable chance at helping someone similar size to me (Again depending on the situation), but anyone bigger (weight or height) I'd probably just risk making it wo…

I actually pretty much agree that men should be able to "opt out" on paper if they choose to. But I also feel like there should be a degree of like "Look, I never wanted this kid, I feel like I've been trapped" and go through the process rather than just sign a thing and go. (Same goes for women claiming the father's not doing x, y or z. I think that women just being able to say words, and that means the father can't see their kids anymore is disgusting, family court is a joke.) I've definitely …
