I’m not sure what I would choose if I could but I don’t think what you described are really downsides, the reproductive burden means having to give birth to have kids but it also means having control over it outside of abstaining from sex. the orgasm gap mostly affects women who are passive in bed, if you’re active you can orgasm in an hour more than a man can in a week Physical weakness doesn’t have an upside but I’d argue it doesn’t really matter now that anyone can carry a weapon, an average …

That’s a crazy story lol, i guess it’s a bigger think than I thought

sounds really inefficient to keep going to the same guy who won’t even let her stay the night when she could easily get Someone who will

wouldn’t that require her to stay the night?

That’s a good way to reframe it, I think a lot of those people either were harmed by such behaviours or really want to harm others with them.

That assumes men will act the same regardless of upbringing, people who were objects of desire for women from a young age aren’t likely to treat them the same way as people who weren’t. i was objectified by grown women and older girls since i was in 5th grade and it definitely affected my behaviour. the arguments i see here are also about men “dating down” for casual sex by going for women less attractive than they are while having no commitment issues with women equally attractive as them.

The premise that only men objectify others and treat them as disposable?

isn’t that the exact behaviour men here complain about women displaying? dating based on appearance alone, having other men in orbit, jumping from one to another, only seeing them for what the can get out of them. the truth is that some people are selfish and immature while others are not, judging an entire gender based on the acts of a minority wont help you understand it better.

If they were all attractive they most like were insecure about their looks. as a man who works out daily most attractive men are wildly insecure about their looks and try as hard as possible to be treated by women like men treat women.

thats something none of my female friends‘ experienced as far as I’m aware So I can’t really comment on that with experience. ive seen women doing it to men they’re not in a relationship with too often but that’s a different thing. if they’re long term partners im assuming it’s either coming from a place of insecurity in their own looks or it’s an attempt at negging if they do it often.

I’ve argued with a ton of those, if you see it you should call it out

what specific trait do you think most men have that ruins their relationships that most women don’t?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 08:48 PM

It means being active in creating romantic moments and memories, the specifics are going to differ

It’s a shame how common sexism still is even after decades of progress

I’ve met a lot of sexist people in real life, I was close to a woman who hated all men except for me and had to cut her off when I found out

From the screenshot I think he’s saying that men knowing what women filter for makes those filters less effective in the same way that putting on makeup makes filtering for attractive faces less effective, not that bypassing the filters makes bypassing less effective.

I know quite a lot of gay men and they never look different than straight men, don’t take care of their looks any better and none of them even work out often but they seem to have no issues attracting men and getting into long term relationships with them.

Looks are subjective, averages aren’t.

Im saying his tone is off, he picked an extreme example rather than using a personal example and turned a discussion into a debate.

What events were those and how did you find them? I haven’t heard of any dating related events in my city at all but it’s a small one.

It’s natural for people to default to defending people who look like them but it’s also natural for people to form opinions based on perceived tone. giving people a personal story about someone you know is more convincing for example than a horror story about someone you don’t. For example when I talk about male rape & SA I always mention my experiences and the experiences of friends rather than sharing articles about someone else it happened to.

I know that but you’re not writing this in the right way, of the 2 women who answered neither seems to have been convinced.

Weirdly aggressive comment, yes, shaming men for showing romantic interest leads to it happening less but you’re writing it like you’re trying to shame her

I haven’t seen men asking average looking women to date below average looking men, the most common complaints I see are about women wanting to date someone more attractive or more wealthy while seeing someone equal to them as unworthy, reality is a lot more complex than that but it seems like the general idea.

Whenever someone on reddit uses bold letters or bigger text size I assume they’re serious and not sane, so far I’ve been right more than wrong about it

He said in this thread that he did get 50% custody, how is that abandoning his child?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:57 PM

Child support is usually based on income of the poorer parent, you can have equal custody and still have to pay.

Celebrities aren’t raised famous, at least where I live women are taught from a young age to see romantic and sexual attention in a negative light while men are taught to see it exclusively in a positive light, it’s why so few male rape victims report it.

Because it’s less common for guys to end it
