Just a few days ago I read about the terrorist bombing of the Russian passenger plane. The article literally said how "women and children" were killed in the attack. It is absolutely mind boggling how media can brush over the other 50% of the victims and nobody cares or seems to notice.

We actually had quite objective lectures about that subject (not about women though). Officers weren't trying to hide the fact that men are expected, and will be made to sacrifice for the state if the need arises. It wouldn't be so awfull if one would get even the slightest bit of respect for doing that service.

That sounds like a waste of money. The one I was in was pretty decent on my opinion, but then again, it's the only one I've been to. Plenty of training with live ammunition, infrared-toys and other gear. Basics of hand-to-hand combat and plenty of fresh air and making new connections with people from different economic classes and backgrounds. Never met a man who didn't agree on mandatory service being a great experience in growing up

Thats it right there: for a woman "being yourself" works because there's innate value in simply being a female. Beta males are invisible to women so how could they even begin to understand how males worth needs to be earned with hard work or genetic lottery.

I wish it was just the West. This mentality is slowly creeping east also. The reason she did something amoral is because we know words affect the thoughts and actions of people around us. Hitler also told people to kill other people while the decision to kill them was ultimately in the hands of the soldiers. Therefore Hitler had no responsibility for their actions? I don't think its that black and white. One could still achieve something, invent the wheel or maybe help out his brothers children to make it in life or something along those lines even after opting out of female contact. That particular man might be just lost, though.

Just told my dad about this and he told me they had this same drama in the 80's at his workplace. They solved it by rigging the thermometers to show 3 degrees more than the actual temperature was and all the women were happy with how warm it was after that. The lesson of the story is quite obvious

My time in a conscript army taught me what an average male is, and it's not much. Through our lives there's filtering going on from schools to work, but once you go to army you find yourself among every other male who can hold a gun. Half the people there can barely function and even there the worst cases are left out. On my anecdotal experience im willing to say it doesn't take much to belong in the actual top 20% of the male population.
