There are a very large number of nefarious employers who will assign "prove yourself" projects to applicants as a way of getting free labor or ideas with no intention of actually making offers. If you are working through a recruiter, there is also a good chance there is a coaching cycle going on. Recruiter has favored applicants, perhaps even with fake credentials, but they need to get these favorites past screening. So, they send in some people to find out what the questions are, and then rejec…

It should have been amusing to me that this guy sucks so much and handed me such a pile of shit to work with. I didn't need to enter his frame. As your T goes up (MAP, lifts, SMV, sidebar whatever), this kind of wussy-centric work culture is really going to grate at a fundamental level. Modern large companies push, against all objective data to the contrary, the idea that everyone participates more or less equally, when in reality only about 5% or so of the rockstars move things forward. In the …

Prior to stepping out for dinner, the wife says with a smile and in front of the kids that "daddy is hanging out with his girlfriend again." This looks a setup for some bad downstream angst, with the kids right in the middle. Willing to bet that after you leave the crocodile tears come out and "I just don't know how to take this anymore." Kids become her mommy and daddy. Later, you get to untangle this crap. Not sure how, still working through that myself. The one thing I have on my side is I ne…

PE Saw a great quote once: men don't suffer from PE, women do. This is another destructive thing that has been programmed into men's heads: if you really enjoy sex that much, you're broken. BS. First time with one of my plates (she prefers the term hen lol): seven seconds, then the next morning, twelve seconds. We still laugh about it. She told me last week she likes the game Clue. My response: "seven seconds, in your pussy, with my cock". Good times. You'll be fine, nothing wrong with a super q…

I am recently separated from the military and have been in a shitty mental state about it, as if I am without any real purpose anymore. What u/Dunlop60 said. .mil isn't a purpose, unless the purpose is to extract "thank you for your service" external validation. Or to get pats on the head for being a marginally better good boy beta than all the other good boy betas. three-letter agencies TLA is where former .mil go to get additional external validation, this time because of having a badge and …

OYS #3 Was planning to OYS every two weeks, but I fucked up. More on that in a bit after the admin. 55yo, 5'5" 191 lb, 37 yr final hearing coming soon, 2 (adult) kids. Primary mission: Improve relationship with my kids. Son and I have done some great work with internal projects. Daughter had some good news that will eventually help …

All the machines and dumbbells. Been there, done that. Even had a bowflex that was great to hang shirts on. Nothing mattered until I started the olympic bar. $300 or less for a 300 lb. 2 inch olympic set (shop around, got mine on sale new for under $250 and Craigslist is littered with used wannabees), a cheesy sub $100 Walmart bench with the verticals cut down to just above the first set of holes for IB, and a set of solid stands from Amazon for $99. Done. May add a squat rack later once I get u…

I have read a lot on game but I'm having difficulties applying it to my wife. So did I. I really thought she was a man with tits. Then she moved out and has since validated AWALT in many ways, including responding to game. Sometimes for sport I will tell her "there's game technique #27.c being run on you", she responds with "It's not like that!" lol. Good times. Wifey is noticing my improved physique. She's been trying to sabotage my progress, shaming me for counting calories. She has started wo…

Only if you want to. You are not your medical condition, and there are plenty of alternatives for constant PIV. For example, lots of women enjoy authentic BDSM (explicitly not the 50 shades kind, that is girl power porn), as well as the emotionally related Daddy/baby girl thing and more subtle variants. But it's the wrong question. "How can I learn to have women in my life, or not, as I want them there?" Sidebar, lift (to whatever degree you can), STFU. Time for an OYS. Then you decide.

Homeschool as an option? School is a rough place to be as a boy right now, he's always going to be wrong about everything. If you want to consider that route I can offer some resources. It is a lot easier than most people think.

Good question. An internal drive of mine since I can remember. It fits me, both who I am and who I want to be. Otherwise I would probably be content being fat, with one unhappy woman, sneaking porn and watching football. I say that seriously, it's a motivating internal caveman factor that I don't think I can make rational sense of or justify. It just is. I don't even get turned on by women unless I think they would make a great mom, and they get some hot points for that alone. As soon as a woman…

OYS 2 55 yo 5'5" 191 lb (reported 180 last time, seemed light, got different scale) navy 26% depending on calc, neck 17.25 waist 39.25. Why "bitches"? Is this defensive to make it OK if they reject you? It was for me.

And since I’m one of the biggest guys there. I’m always out on jobs that lifting is involved and always in the hot sun Time to start using those muscles for the natural charisma they give you. How can you transform your job into a team leader position? Or start looking around for another job in your field where you get hired into the team leader spot, and then start working up the ladder from there, eventually starting that business you want once you get the increasing exposure to the decision-m…

I am personally biased against therapists. Lived in an upscale suburb for about ten years surrounded by therapists and therapees of all sorts. Words I never heard: "He/she/I no longer needs therapy" as there is a powerful financial incentive to milk "the condition", whatever that happened to be. Realized most therapists are in it to fix whatever is wrong with their inner child and disguise it as "helping others". Hell, even just talking about therapists drives me to use air quotes lol. This site…

My brother you have got to let that financial crap go. Sounds like that is the fundamental "I'm not worthy" problem underlying all these reactions. We're not supposed to blame others, but if someone points a gun at our back and pulls the trigger, well there is some blame to be placed. Not going to get into the politics of that but a lot of guys are wandering around wondering WTF and blaming themselves too much; it's in our DNA. The resulting loss of attractiveness is a spiral, by design. Many of…

She responded by looking for more areas to help. before I could finish she asked how she could help She repeated those tasks throughout the week without me mentioning them again. I’m forming a new container and she’s filling it. Wow, she sounds like an amazing First Mate. Good on you for learning to be a great Captain at an early age, my brother. I'm no doctor and know nothing about her or your situation, but I think a lot of women get put on these anti-depressants like handing out candy. Everyt…

Weds increased 5x5 weight: 175 sq 135 (same) ohp, 175 bp, 210 dl. Nothing. Today switched to 8x3, same weight: 175 sq (8,8,8), 135 ohp (8,8,6), 175 bp (8,8,7), dl (8,8,8). Big difference. From .mil days, 8 to 10 reps x 3 sets was "standard". The more things change lol. Before hip, also did inclined bench, made an impact on chest definition. May have to add that back.

Discovered MRP years ago, wish it had been decades. Wife (over 3 decades) moved out of state last year, mutually agreeable divorce final hearing in a few weeks. Priority: working on relationships with my (adult) children, neglected them both while working on client projects too much. Many issues there that I own simply because I let them happen. Sq 170x5x5, op 135x5x5 bp 170x5x5 dl 210x4x5. No br, elbow issues, substitute isometrics for that part. Higher 5x5 last summer, cracked hip early winter…
