Ugh, my ex did this to me 4 months in.

I begged my last ex to not break up with me and it was my lowest moment. Luckily, it only took me a month to realize that breaking up was the best thing for me and for me to make that decision, no waffling about. Since then, if a guy tells me he’s not happy or he wants to break up, I gladly move on. I’m not gonna change their mind and I’m not going to stay with someone who doesn’t want me.

Yo, the guy I was seeing did the same thing too, on Friday. He was like, I don’t feel a connection, nevermind that it had only been 4 dates and a month of getting to know each other. I said, ok thanks for letting me know. Promptly deleted the messages, the number and bought myself a tiara for my bday 😇 Today I am having galentines day with my lovely friends!

I wish I had done this. I’m so mad I left the stupid couch and dining table when I moved out. Everyone thought he had paid for that but it was me making the home homey. And he made way more than me and we still split the bills. 🤦🏽‍♀️ and he was broke because he was spending his money on cam girls.

This is why I don’t date during the holidays.

It really irked me that the guy I was seeing could not cook at all. Like how have you survived 26 years of your life without cooking? And both times we “cooked” together he managed to show up late and mess up my cast iron :( This now a non-negotiable for me.

Not even a year after we broke up did he get married and bring his wife to the SAME apartment we lived in! He doesn't care who fills the position LOL

50/50 when he made way more than me and was always broke because he spent it all on camgirls. The CC debt I have from buying furniture (that he kept cause it wasn't even my style). The therapy after we broke up. The wear and tear on my car since we used it instead of his. Ughhhhhh.

This was before FDS. Boy, was it eye-opening when I joined this sub after breaking up with him. I'm soo glad he's an ex too! 🤣 He couldn't live without me and then got married 6 months later to someone he'd been dating for 3 months. I dodged a huge bullet cause he's cheating on her, while pretending to be a wholesome Christian.

ohhhhh, my ex used to talk to his mom about his sexual exploits. Now I see why this is weird. He had a madonna/whore complex and thought I was disgusting for wanting to have sex but also be his gf.

My therapist told me this too! It just shows they aren't willing to do better by you. Next time I guy wish washed like that on me, I was like byeeeeee. 😇

My ex told me the same exact thing too. My boobs were too small and that I should get breast implants soon. And I believed him. I hated my body when I was with him. Now, everymorning I look at myself and marvel at how strong and well built my body is and truthfully. my boobs are a great size. I like my boobs. ☺

See I avoided military men for that exact reason and then I met my ex and I took a chance and missed a million red flags in the first few weeks. Should have just stuck to my guns. Instead I wasted 3 years🙃

My ex texted me fuck with a picture of the plant we had bought together that was completely dead. I was so tempted to text him back and say, you're drunk or a picture of my beautiful thriving plants or even just a that's a metaphor for our relationship but i just blocked and deleted, no reply. I'm so proud of it! Thanks FDS!

Before my ex and I broke up, he brought up the idea of living apart together. I told him if that's what he wanted he may as well just break up with me now. 😒

I broke up with a LVM, and I had a dream I went back to him. I stalked his IG, and he's seeing someone new (who happens to look a lot like me). It hurt to see him with someone else, but I know that if I had stayed, I wouldn't have been happy. He was afraid of commitment and we were in a situationship, even though we lived together during the pandemic. I was still new to FDS at the time.

My ex was so damn scared he'd get taken advantage of and while we weren't married, would already talk about the divorce and how I'd take all of his money. I was like if that's your big scare, then let's do the prenup, I literally don't need your money. But he wanted me to be dependent on him. It was the weirdest thing.

My long term bf and I broke up after 3.5 years because he didn't want to get married. 8 months after we broke up, he got married, to someone he'd only been dating for 3 months. I have to keep telling myself that just because social media shows something fantastic, doesn't mean its true. Just because he got married to somebody other than me in no way reflects poorly on me. I am 1000 times better off alone than with him. I've blocked them from social media because I have better things to do than w…

I did the same experiment with an ex at the time. I was always initiating sex and he kept turning me down. He was addicted to porn. It took 4 months before he noticed anything. And when he initiated I was so over it, I turned him down. Hurt his feelings and next thing I know, he's thinking about breaking up with me. Of course he can't go through with it, but I could! Best decision of my life! 😇

Yay congrats! I did the same thing last week. Guy was breadcrumbing me and with the help of FDS and therapy, I was able to shut everything down. We were headed towards the friends realm except he "missed" me but wouldn't bother to commit. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

My therapist said if they tell you this, take them at their word and move on.

I am so glad others feel this way. I've always had spidey senses and I always try to logic them away because I have no proof. Next time, as soon as I feel the tingles I'm out.

I relate soooo much to your pickme feelings and its really hard to stop thinking "If only I had tried harder, if only I had done this instead" But absolutely, if they truly truly wanted you, they would try. But they aren't and it hurts but we have to trust that someone else will value us as much as we value ourselves!!

I went through a great time with a LVM but realized it wasn't working. My needs weren't being met. When I communicated this to him, it was all suddenly my fault. I told him I needed space to sort things through in my head. I don't know why I decided to accept the blame. But he said he didn't think he deserved me and he wasn't sure if he waited to walk away from me and "roll the dice again on finding someone as great as me.. That's when it hit me- I'm a freakin NAT 20 and he really doesn't deserv…
