Something I explain to my kids is: Everyone knows doing the wrong thing has consequences, but what no one tells you is that doing the right thing also has consequences. Just because it's the right thing doesn't mean there won't be pain, suffering, and negative consequences for your actions.

I lost a lot of weight, and gained a lot back. What I noticed is when I gained weight even though I was confident, that weight was on my mind. My clothes not fitting correctly, then because of that I start to subconsciously pick at myself (smoothing my shirt too often, going from relaxed to tense in certain situations, etc.) It might not affect your core person but it does effect the vibe you give off.

NY here, all papers signed just waiting a judges stamp basically, been waiting since October for that little stamp. Back in October they said if we're lucky by April.

I have a king. I sleep on the very edge of the bed, just how I sleep. A full side bed is huge even when my partner and I are in it. I wouldn't give up the king for anything. For nights when O can't sleep I can just turn sideways and have a whole new sleeping experience. PLUS the other edge of the bed is cold so the night time switch up works very well. Keep it!

💯 your last line. It's your guidance growing up that has waaaay more of an effect on you than watching porn

Lots of practice. I only learned to talk to people by being forced into many, many business interactions. Conversation starters and the little small talk that leads to bigger conversations comes with practice. For me, it was years or practice, years of watching people interact and I still feel awkward AF starting a conversation. I just know I'm not being awkward because I've started 1000's of conversations feeling awkward and no one noticed cause they're too busy worrying about their own feeling…

Start the divorce process! My lawyer said I could put stipulations in that no man is allowed to move in during the divorce and could stipulate no introducing significant others unless they are together for a period of time. If she breaks that it could put her in contempt if done right, which gives you a shot to fight for custody of your daughter. You need to show her how a man is supposed to act, and that the women you have in your life after you have healed, are the kind of women she needs to m…

By baggy I mean it's not form fitting. Tight clothes for me is really uncomfortable. I usually wearing loose dress pants and a long sleeve t-shirt / hoodies with something on it. Even in the summer I tend to wear pants. You can't tell if I have a gut or not, you can't tell if I have a lot of upper body strength or not, and you can't tell if my legs are thick because they're strong or because I've got thunder thighs. Edit: words

Came to say this! I have gotten a lot fitter, but I still wear baggy clothes so you can't tell by looking at me. So then the only reason I'm getting more attention is my attitude. Nothing to do with my actual weight / fitness

Mine keeps saying she won't talk to me without a lawyer, and then refuses to get a lawyer to start the process (she wanted it). So I'm starting it (and shell probably say "why'd you do that???"). I hope you l situation gets better!

That may or may not matter depending upon the state. There are one party stated (Like NY for example) that only require the person recording it to be in the conversation. The other person doesn't have to know they were being recorded for it to be legal.

If she has insurance they accept, and it's just a matter of getting the info, there's no actual cost there, it's just a matter of getting the bill to the person who can give the insurance info. My ex did this to me (except didn't ask just told them to call me to work out the bill). They were very helpful and didn't have an issues sending it to the insurance company once they had the info

Sign her up and tell the office to bill her mother at her home address. Let her worry about it

I have not but already reached out to friends who have gone through this and will be reaching out to a lawyer tomorrow for a consultation. Sounds like the same situation I'm in. In NY if you have an uncontested divorce you can fill out the paperwork without lawyers, which is what we were originally trying to do but it looks like it's about to get ugly.

She's not able to get the older one on the bus in the morning, so I have to be there to put her on anyway. And while she can drop my younger one off at PreK, I could just as easily do that while bringing my older one to the bus stop anyway. I don't really care what the morning setup is cause I'm flexible, I just want my kids at LEAST 50% of the time (before school I had them like 65-70% of the time

It's like Stockholms syndrome. You don't realize how happy you are until you've been out of it for a while. After being out of it for almost 5 months now I'm just starting to see all the bullshit that's been going on and am finally realizing I can be happier than what I thought happiness was. Your friend will see it to. It just sucks a whole lot before you get there

Being separated doesn't make the hurt less, it just comes in spurts in-between distractions. Like waves at the beach instead of a continuous stream.

I'm going through it now, kinda same as you. I feel more bad for her than I do myself. I know I'll get over it and move on eventually. It does come in waves though like someone else said. Some days I feel nothing, some days it's just like"...Fuck this hurts....". I'm sure I gets better
