Okay. Good luck in life. You’re gonna need it.

The number of people that somehow can’t grasp the difference between explaining why something is happening and condoning that thing happening is terrifying. Him saying that most domestic violence stems from frustration (poor paraphrasing on my part), isn’t condoning domestic violence. I thought every adult would be able to grasp this.

Kind of, but this was still in the era (granted the tail end), where marriage decisions were made primarily for financial/social/survival reasons, not attraction or love. If this had started with him spitting on her, do you really think a crowd would have stood around and snickered while watching? No context justifies physical violence except prior physical violence or the reasonably believed threat of violence. That goes for every person regardless of gender. Hey man, you should read what they said again. I don’t think they’re making the point you think they are, and the logic they’re using is sound. Let’s try another way. People who were caught driving drunk in Oregon had gotten away with it 4 times before they were caught on average. But people who got caught driving drunk in Maine only got away with it 2 times before they were caught on average. Those statements don’t have any bearing at all on how many drunk drivers there are in total in those st…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
