17	Circumcised male here, why do people hate circumcision? The argument is that this person does not like circumcision on infant males as it is a violation of their bodily autonomy. This person likely doesn’t have an objection to the practice for medical reasons but specified that it is done to babies purely for cosmetic reasons. 1	Why is it illegal in the U.S. to circumcise a women before 18 but perfectly legal to do it to a man when he is a baby? Some communities also practice things like breast ironing and FGM. I am not disrespecting your religion, it’s practices or any other religion that performs circumcision on children. I was about the make the argument that female circumcision is more damaging than male circumcision but then I realised I was missing the point. Both types should be illegal on children who cannot Consent to the practice. And the fact that it’s illegal to subject female babies to the practice is a step but is totally fine when done to male babies shows that society focuses on women’s issues Over men’s and sometimes outright ignores them	/r/MensRights	11/08/21 05:03 PM
