Yeah Earl is a great example of how Canada has failed male victims of DV. He killed himself 11 years ago. I wrote to my Canadian MP about Earl and how in Canada we still only have 19 beds for male DV victims. His staff did see the value in my message. But not much has happened since and sadly I worry not much will happen. But I will continue to persist and plan to send him more letters demonstrating the facts above. Yeah, Justin and his organizations seem to be the best sources of advocacy for Men's support centers. But to be a little pessimistic, there organization is still very small and like you said they rely on charitable funding and not direct funding from the GOC. I'll need to do research on how much funding is given to Women's Shelters and DV shelters in Canada. Male genital mutilation takes away the bodily autonomy of the infant male. Circumcision, the more common form of MGM can be accessed when the individual is of age and is able to consent without pressure from there parents. That's why I mentioned no other protected class can be charged differently. There are cases where other demographics/groups have differences in there recklessness. Yet it is only men, not a different race, creed, nationality, religion etc that is charged differently. Just Men. MGM=Male Genital Mutilation.

Of course diversity is a good thing. But artificially creating diversity by giving privileges to specific groups due to there immutable characteristics and limiting those same privileges to other is not okay. We justify DEI programs for equity deserving groups but then limit/remove access to these same programs to other less equity deserving groups. We currently pay taxes and those taxes are meant to fund programs like this. It is not just to have the Goverment of Canada funding shelters, affordable housing and other programs solely for Women. While Male support is literally none existent. How is it just that Womens Programs and support is funded using tax payer money but not Mens Programs and support?

Men are excluded in Canada today. One bigger example of this was how the report on missing indigenous Women and Girls decided to exclude Men and Boys from the report. Even though Men and Boys were going missing at an equal rate to the Women and Girls.
