Texaslawhelp.org is where you should start. Done by legal aid, Texas bar association, etc for pro-se filers.

Look at the county court for where you are filing. If uncontested, some judges are just signing off without an in person hearing because ‘rona. Totally depends on where you are specifically.

The praying isn’t for them to be forgiven. It’s for you to stop clinging to hate and resentment, which is poison and destroys you, without any harm coming to the guilty. You could accomplish the same aim through a loving kindness meditation, or many other ways, secular or religious. If you believe in a god or in karma or whatever, the guilty will get theirs. Your praying or mindfulness will be to your credit, not to the guilty.

Do you feel like she has a right to her beliefs about irrelevancy of sex, non-open marriage, and imposing limits on access to her body and how you can interact with it (ie no touching parts, no kissing, etc)? Should she be forced to change herself to bend to what your wants and needs are? I imagine that you would tell yourself that she has a right to her beliefs and preferences, and you would never force her to change. The same thing applies equally to you. You have a right to your beliefs about…

Texas is a no alimony state, but a judge CAN order spousal maintenance, which is civil alimony. If the marriage lasted at least 10 years or if the spouse became disabled and cannot work while married then you can be ordered to pay “alimony”. Usually the max they can order is between 3-10 years based on length of marriage, but in case of disability of spouse it can be ordered as long as the disability persists, even lifetime. The maximum amount is 20% of Gross income up to some $ cap. I believe t…

Not a lawyer here, so be warned. If you haven’t filed yet, then everything is community property in Texas in a divorce (unless you had it before the marriage or other very specific things). The money you send her, the money she makes, everything. The duty to support children is shared, and you owe her exactly zero in child or spousal support. If you “send her money”, it’s jointly-owned money. There is no back child support or spousal support duty yet. If you have filed, then whatever terms are i…

Yeah, a judge can order spousal support for life in Texas if a spouse became disabled while married. It can continue as long as the disability does. Just because they can order it doesn’t mean they will, so consult lawyers like everybody says.

It's an astonishing display of unapologetic self direction. Meekness doesn't have to mean weakness.

"if you have high expectations in life, those expectations shouldn’t be imposed on others, but on yourself." Beginners who come on here and try dread 10 in the first week post-RP and then ask how they fucked up: that is why you fail. I know because I did all of these things. I learned by hard experience. You can't be a beta weakling for a decade in your marriage and then one day decide you are going to demand sex right now, and if it's not instantaneous you get up and move into the spare bedroom…

One thing you are missing is revealed in your statement: Saying "I'm not mad" doesn't fix it right away You feel like you have to fix her, or that if she's upset then you have to do something because you can't handle it if she is. When you finally really internalize what it means to not be afraid of your partner, your anxiety will fall away. She can be happy or mad, and it doesn't affect you or your sense of worth. You can have empathy for her feelings if you choose and when you choose. But you'…

"Her genuine desire, her sexual best was never intended for him in the first place." God damn, that line is hard hitting.

Oh hell yes. She bears the pain of childbirth alone. You can't save her from it. It's hers. You bear the pain of being the load-bearing member of the household. She can't save you from it. It's yours. As a man you must be strong enough to hold yourself up in the face of anything that may come, and also carry the load of your family as well. Hopefully your wife helps you rather than piling more load on top, but she can't carry you. Expecting or demanding it will lead to her losing respect for you…

Don't look to the marriage or a new relationship to fix you or make you happy. Neither will. Take responsibility for yourself. Improve yourself. Own your shit. Become a better man every day. Physically stronger, more skilled, more knowledgable, more self directed. A year from now you will be completely different. Whether your wife notices and responds, or you are so amazing that you cannot be contained anymore and you walk, it doesn't matter. You will be living your life better each day. Life wi…

Just remember that ultimately, her feelings are her responsibility. Not yours or anyone else's. If you have to hold her together, she will never improve. You can help stabilize her, but she has to stand on her own. You can't carry her. Good luck. I think you're doing a great job and asking yourself all the right questions.

I think you may be confusing "frame" with "not losing your shit". In my mind, frame is the mindset that you are an innately worthy man who commands respect and approaches things decisively, with amused mastery over self and outside influences. Frame is an alpha mindset. It depends on you and you alone. It is self sufficient and self affirming. Keeping frame in the presence of shit tests doesn't mean sitting and listening to them without either getting mad or becoming submissive. Keeping frame wo…

Do not under any circumstances have kids until / unless this shitshow is permanently behind you both. If you asked me 10 years ago, I'd say stay and try. If you ask me today, I say GTFO and don't waste any more of your life.
