I'm not denying that, just pointing out they had a foothold east of Burma. There's also Singapore but that's not much further east than Burma.

It's not a strawman if it has repeatedly happened.

Yeah it's just bad satire, dear. Also it's projection.

"This is dumb, but it's not a Men's Rights thing. Men's Rights are not at war with Women's." In response to a post about feminism.... Like I've been trying to explain to. This is a common strawman that feminists use, they say criticizing feminism means you're at war with women('s rights). The guy then made a knee jerk ironic response about how feminists are at war with men. No. I've read plenty of feminists posts and MRA posts and seen sexism within both. Now you're arguing against what you assu…

No it wasn't Except it was literally and figuratively a response to the strawman argument that criticizing feminists means you're "at war with women". This is not something that's said literally and was just a specific response. Feminists would definitely say there's much more sexism among the MRM than there is among Feminists. And you're assuming what feminists say isn't just based on the strawman that MRA's hate women. My point was that we've just been going back and forth between my personal …

The guy I originally responded to said "Feminists are at war with men" It was in response to the whole "MRA's can't criticize feminists otherwise they're at war with women" bullshit argument. Yeah, I disagree. There's sexism on both kinds of subs of about equal amounts Sorry but that's just not true. It's a myth spread by feminists to justify their hate of MRA's. I don't think either of us have any analytical data or anything so I don't think there's any reason to continue with this. Just becaus…

Equating all of feminism to one subreddit and claiming feminism as a whole is at war with men because you think that one subreddit is is about as much of a strawman as you can get. No one is saying all of feminism is at war with men, just that it isn't a coincidence that you don't see as much misandry anywhere else as you do in feminist groups. That reads just like a comment out of /r/feminism. Does it sound familiar? I honestly can't tell a difference. Sure of you add a little more "patriarchy"…

Ask yourself what does misogyny have to do with feminism? Then you have your answer.
/r/MensRights19/12/16 01:50 AM

The people over at /r/feminism definitely are at war with men. But some MRA's are at war with women too. Not really, outside of the strawman MRA = misogynist, this is simply not the case. Yes there are sexist MRA's like there are sexists everywhere. But the MRM does not empower misogynists like feminism empowers misandrists. Therefore calling out feminism whenever possibly is perfectly fine and in good number of cases actually serving to better the rights of men.
/r/MensRights19/12/16 01:48 AM

When feminism is anti-men's rights, men's rights can and should be anti-feminism.

Oh but this is just a fake video to perpetrate the SJW boogeyman myth that Reddit created. They don't actually exist in real life and are just made up by misogynists.

It's easier for different people to fit in. And it's easier to get work done if you fit in. So it's a win/win for everyone. I don't like affermative action though, that's not a win/win.

I don't but and it probablu doesn't make a huge difference but it really can't be anything but positive.

I mean it's difficult to explain but moderate and non enforced diversity does help.

But see. The friend must be imagining those things. We all know the SJW boogeyman is just a myth created by Reddit neckbeards to spread misogyny and they don't actually exist in real life... /s if it wasn't obvious enough.

There isn't a need for it per say, but more diversity always helps. Not that it's a legitimate reason to discriminate.

Well the Turkish people originate from central Asia so I have to disagree.

I believe Turks aren't Caucasian so they can't be white.
/r/MensRights28/05/15 12:39 PM

As long as it does not include "females", "women" or minorities it's fine to be racist/sexist against them. Remember it's not hate speech, it's encouragement to break away from the oppression that is cis-gendered white males.

That does not necessarily mean they can consent to having sex with 35 year olds. For example in the state of Utah were this happened the age of consent is also 16 years old but only 18 year olds can consent to having sex with people 10 years older than them. So 16 year old can have sex with people from 16-25 and 17 from 16-26. Which is probably the case in most states with age of consent under 18.
/r/MensRights29/04/15 12:49 PM

Minors can sign contracts if it's with parental consent. Parental consent however does not reach to having sex with significantly older people. In Utah the age of consent is 16 however no person under 18 can legally consent to having sex with someone 10 year older than them. And since 35-10 does not equal 16 or below this is illegal.
/r/MensRights29/04/15 12:43 PM

Minors can't consent....

I don't blame the woman for nothing, however denying she got her in the situation that led to the rape is wrong. The fault always lies with the rapist just like it does with a burglar but that doesn't mean you can't say "you got robbed because you left your door open" or something.
/r/MensRights29/04/15 07:59 AM

I'm not saying they do... All I'm saying is that it's possible to put yourself in a situation that it's more likely to happen, then it is legit to say that the rape happened because you put yourself in said situation. But since most rapes are different this question shouldn't be "agree" or "disagree". It's like saying murders happen because of guns. That is not an agree or disagree answer kind of question.
/r/MensRights28/04/15 09:15 PM

Well if you take a walk in a bad neighborhood then get mugged. You got mugged because you put yourself in a bad situation. Sure it's not your fault you got mugged, that always lies with the perpetrator but saying you didn't put yourself in that situation is just wrong.

except in the most extreme circumstances, Which probably means when he or she is actually raping their partner. Not when they're drunk or any of the situations which are now considered rape.

True but in all seriousness every single crime where there is a victim there is going to be some kind of trauma. Calling people survivors when the crime itself almost always leaves you alive means you are demeaning the word survivor.
/r/MensRights04/02/15 02:47 PM

Well then what's the point of referring to anything as victim? I mean getting robbed can be as if not more traumatizing, so why aren't you a mug survivor?

I'm pretty sure he wanted to attend a course not thought in other public schools but this one.

You're mugging survivor? You of all people should know we live in mug culture where society believes it's okay to mug others and instead of teaching people to be careful of muggers we should teach muggers not to mug. Also as long as he's male and privileged you can be racist, homophobic or sexist to him so we can fight male privilege.

Pff, who needs logic and reason when society oppresses women?
/r/MensRights02/01/15 07:37 AM
