I will just say that I agree philosophically that the ultimate goal for a man is not to thrive sexually. But if you read the sub's description it kinda is the purpose here. A pleasure as well.

Well, a very nice read. First of all, I conclude with you that moderation is the key to everything. I will not argue any further because you had made a beautiful case for your side of the argument, have presented me with interesting evidence that I should like to check out, and overall convinced me to the point that I could agree with your general idea. People who decide that they need to completely remove it from their lives because they aren't getting laid and not meeting women. If you enjoy s…

Ok, first, I'm glad we can agree to disagree. Second I don't consider any of my views "sad". The reason I made a case of "gaming or sex" was not because how you described it. But because in my view, the more you invest in one the less you tend to invest in the other. Gaming consumes time that could otherwise be spent on optimizing your appearance, fitness, career, studying, reading, social skills, sports, an art, etc. Any of these activities ups your SMV directly, while gaming... does not. Does …

Of course they did, buddy. It's not for us mortals to control. Glad you got away in the end, though.

I have a life outside of that. And it's not that you need to marry every girl you fuck. I just stated that sleeping around is more rewarding pleasurewise than videogaming. Sleeping around gives you confidence, extroversion, fearlesness, and keeps you focused. Playing VG wastes all your mental energy on imagination and numbs your body, producing useless finger skills and making you sexualy unacompliashed (which shows in every aspect of life). I was also stating that videogames return moderate gra…

Everyone needs a reward for their efforts. That is how life evolved. It's called dopamine. You speak of self improvement, which I applaud, but it takes a really fucking high level of altruism to go through life giving your best for the sole sake of iself-improvement as an end goal. To me having sex with a nice girl who I find attractive makes me feel rewarded. On a personal level. I get to say to myself "you were up to it". Hey, I like sex, what's wrong with that? And you can't be a sleezeball a…

Exactly. The answer is in double think. Facts do not matter. You can believe what you will whenever you need to, regardless of universal coherence of belief. "The party is always right" can also mean "feminism is always right" or "men are always wrong" or "men are all liars" or "women are always the victim". Examples of female doublethink: Murdering babies is evil but abortion is just. Islamophobia is evil but women on power is just. You can desire a man with a wife but if he hooks up with you h…

I had the same thing. I used to play RPGs all the time. I hated MP, I only cared about the fantasy. When I started college I stopped gaming and switched to writing. I'm about to publish my first novel early next year. And have also made writing part of my frame. I picked up a lot of girls by developing an "intellectual/artistic" aspect of my personality. Just by channeling my impulses into something more socially productive.

Man. When you are fucking three hot girls a week I can guarantee that nothing will seem half as fun.

So true. In 1984 Orwell delivers a sublime deconstruction of Hamstering.

Agreed. Game will determine not blowing your chance. Looks will determine if you even have a chance at all.

It's not that this forum doesn't want insight. It doesn't want bad insight. It punishes bad insight. If you can't take rejection you don't belong here. It wasn't appreciated because you sound like a snowflake who stands for the opposite that this forum represents.

Exactly. As if depraved urges would simply go away for being dubbed illegal.

man, just that you have this level of insight and selfawareness is a clear step towards getting rid of your need for validation. It takes time, it takes turning not searching it into a habit. But rest assured you are on the right track.

If you like her: grab her hand, take her to a corner, and make out with her. She is waiting. If you dislike her: extirpate her from your memory, ignore her as if she did not exist, and eventually she'll be bored.

You think too much and live too little. If you like her fuck her. If you don't dump her.

He is not sharing because he is thinking about her as in her this particular girl. He is sharing the fact that he finally mustered the courage to act with strength. And he is proud about it. I celebrate his pride.

Congratulations, brother. Keep acting like a man. Only good things will come. Don't let anyone tell you you are not great. You are always great as long as you prove it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
