Something remotely reasonable on salon.com Is this real life?

It's similar to how offended a creationist gets when you suggest that they are related to other apes. Truth exists regardless of one's feelings.

I've had discussions with some of them. They seem to feel that the MensRights subreddit tends to be more concerned with issues and events unrelated to the actual rights of males. They also feel that the vast majority of people here are genuine misogynists venting against women. I don't agree with them, but I have read several threads from people here frustrated at the lack of Men's Rights issues being discussed and the volume of anti-feminism in its place. So there is some common ground between …

That last one is interesting. It seems like he'd be considered a sexual predator by the girl in the poster above it.

The only way to achieve equality is to make things less equal. Obviously.

Wait it out. Some people come here looking to confirm preconceived notions, whatever they may be. Most calm down after a while and develop a clearer, healthier perspective of men's issues. Some don't. It'll take a few months to find out which one he is.

So maybe you should rethink saying "A women's league is no different from having a different weight class."

A women's league is no different from having a different weight class. (I compare fighters is same weight class) No, because women are not the same as men. Just like heavyweights are not the same as welterweights. Consider rethinking your points.

It's mostly projection. That and a very small minority of people who identify as "MRAs" are genuine misogynists. Some people like to believe or dishonestly claim that they represent the mainstream of the men's rights movement.

It couldn't exist in reaction to so many so-called feminists denying that men have rights or specific issues they face simply for being male. Nope couldn't possibly be that.

Ask Maimonides (most revered Jewish Philosopher) the benefits of male circumcision. If he were alive he'd tell you it's to lessen the sexual pleasure for males. The portion removed from the penis is THE MOST sensitive part of the male's body. Is that not permanent damage to the functionality? Would it be better if female genital mutilation was done within 8 days after birth? I'm arguing for NO GENITAL MUTILATION. What are you arguing for?
/r/MensRights30/04/13 01:24 AM

Yeah, why would cutting off a part of a boy's body at birth be a big deal? Especially when doing the equivalent to a girl is considered abhorrent.

We should get you as a ref maybe, eh?” Thomson: “Yeah, maybe.” Keith: The first female … ” Thomson: “I can’t skate, though.” Keith: “The first female referee. You can’t play probably either, right? But you're thinking the game like you know it? Okay, see ya.” Not sexist.

Unfortunately there seems to be a small contingency of genuine Misogyny or Misandry on each respective side. I think using a term like "Feminazi" serves to marginalize those who use it and reflects poorly on those of us with legitimate concerns in the human rights movement.
