Marry someone who makes as much or more money than you.

At least in the US common law marriage has been abolished in most states. Also, it takes way more than just living together to make a common law marriage in the minority of jurisdictions where it still exists. Stop spreading this myth.

You'd probably be better off asking in /r/catholicism.

Don't have kids. The message here is painfully obvious. If you're married without children and one spouse suddenly decides to be a bum you can always pack up and leave. Kids make that far more complicated and less viable. You could always make it clear beforehand that you expect both partners to keep working and pulling their weight after the kids are born but if your wife reneges on that you don't have much of a recourse.

Porn is degrading to women Some porn is, some isn't. Some porn is degrading to men (although that's usually because the guys are into that sort of thing.)

Not all Americans. I'm from the US and was not circumcised because my parents aren't stupid. All of my sexual partners have been American and none of them ever had an issue with my junk. Only ignorant, immature girls would be bothered by an uncircumcised penis.

And amazingly enough there's no epidemic of phimosis, male UTIs or penile cancer among men in Europe. Hmm...

99% of what they write is trash. It's no different than salon.com or dailykos.

Notice how he uses no actual evidence to back up his claims. He mentions penile cancer but says nothing about how likely circumcision to prevent that vs. the risk of complications from the surgery. HIV transmission is brought up, but nothing about simply using condoms is vastly more effective. He brings up the bogeyman of phimosis but makes no mention of how common it is in Europe where the vast majority of men aren't circumcised. These are the sorts of retarded arguments you'd expect to get fro…

I think it's kind of silly that ideology even comes into it. For any other issue people would agree that it's absurd to have surgery when there's nothing wrong with you. Surgery should fix a problem. With circumcision we forget all of that because... why exactly? Tradition?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
