Ummm wtf, I’m not fucking lashing out! It was super serious and they needed to realise just how bigoted and ignorant they were being. You got some issues you need to sort out Like what?! The only issue I can think of I had was my cold nipples but then I knitted them mittens and now they’re cosy so I don’t know what issues you’re saying I have

Agreed, it seems quite likely a unique optimal term doesn’t exist. I think it’s quite likely a number of labels exist for the concepts whose quality is relatively indistinguishable. And agreed, ‘toxic gender roles’ seems more optimal than ‘toxic masculinity/femininity’. I think some other possibilities could be labels created by choosing a combination of words from the following five lists: Qualifier: Potentially/Debatably/ /Likely/Possibly/Unlikely-to-be/Sometimes/Occasionally/... Adjective 1: …

I think that would be an improvement for sure. Like, saying toxic male gender roles for example seems less personal and more precise/targeted than ‘toxic masculinity’. But personally I still think that the word ‘toxic’ itself is relatively aggro and low empathy. And there seem to be a lot of people in the world right now who feel they and their identity are under attack somewhat. So it could be beneficial to soften the language further. But then on the other hand, there are definitely bad things…

Wow. There is A LOT to unpack here. lash out lol No. Lashing out is not ‘lol’. Lashing out is NOT nice and NOT ok. Lashing out can make people upset and feel bad and cry nice gaslighting there, pal Thank you :) nice gaslighting too 💖 hope you incels get over your insecurities Umm wtf. This is a MGTOW sub, we’re not incels. And thank you again :) everyone has insecurities- even people as perfect as me grow some actuall, not virtual balls Wow. Wtf. Bro, if you’re so fragile that this post upset you to the extent of having to lash out like this, you’ve got even bigger issues. There’s some serious toxicity going on here, I think you need to see a therapist.

Since it's their own fault, they can be helped once they aren't deserving of death as much Lmfao. This is so good

I mean, that’s not even consensual non-monogamy so seems pretty unethical really. Surprised it was featured on vox, I thought they’d be above that. It’s hard to read, but if you do at one point she says that her boyfriend found out she’d been sleeping with other guys a few months ago and got really upset, she told him she’d stop, and then she continued to do so. Fuck me poor guy. So glad I’m not in that situation. And the way she writes makes her seem completely oblivious to how he might feel ab…

if you are not a feminist, that means you support women not being equal in society I’d say I don’t identify as a feminist, but then I think women being equal in society is a good thing, although it’s kind of vague what equality really means without going into specifics, and different people probably have somewhat different ideas what it means. I mean, my values seem to overlap somewhat with feminism, but then I don’t identify with it, because my conception of feminism doesn’t have good enough ov…

I love how a lot of (potentially most) feminists probably think of virgin shaming as toxic masculinity, but then so many of them seem fine with going round trying to insult people with a word which is pretty much synonymous with virgin lol

It’s clear you’re going through so much right now bro. Honestly want to reach through my screen and give you a hug. Or pay some chick to suck you off 🤷🏼‍♂️ ... is it me or is it getting super toxic in here... But seriously, fuck man, dating and love and sex and all that shit is honestly so rough right now for so many guys (and probably some girls as well tbh, but probs for slightly different reasons). And the suicidal ideation, I’m so fucking sorry to hear you’ve been having to deal with that. I…

Is it ok because it's a kink and we shouldn't shame people for their kinks or is it not ok because of misogyny and the patriarchy and all that. Does not compute! Does not compute! 🤯

white heterosexual men I’m literally shaking rn thinking about that group of subhumans. ‘White heterosexual men’ is literally my trigger-phrase - I need a safe space stat!

It makes women partially responsible for men's issues. You filthy misogynist. I’m honestly so triggered rn

Was talking to a feminist friend of mine, and used "toxic femininity" to describe the subset of feminine traits that are harmful to women or society, and she was really offended, despite her having no qualms with "toxic masculinity" Lol, very consistent of her. Although I’m not surprised. ‘Toxic masculinity’ and ‘toxic femininity’ both seem like pretty ‘toxic’/aggro/unpleasant phrases. I think it’d be very beneficial to do away with them and replace them with something less hateful.

All this is so true, well said bro. Been thinking along these lines for a very long time. Can’t wait for true egalitarianism to come about and people to start appreciating that women have a number of privileges

Does anyone think you only dislike some pizza? No, it sends a clear fucking message: you don't like any pizza. Bro, clearly when someone says they hate pizza, they mean that they only hate pizza which gets offended by them saying they hate pizza. Grow a brain. It’s like how one of my teachers at school hates Jews in the sense that she hates Jews who get offended by her hating Jews. And then she got into trouble with my dumbass school and lost her job. Life’s so unfair like that. Fuck the patriar…

This is pretty much exactly what I’ve been thinking recently. Feminists and other associated groups are generally critical of judgment towards men who identify in a non-stereotypically masculine way (which I agree with), but then they often seem to be critical of, and shame more stereotypical masculine traits which are often seemingly non-harmful and potentially beneficial. And obviously there are groups which are critical of judgement towards more trad kinda guys, but are themselves judgemental…

I really really fucking like the look of what you’re doing. Honestly, I think just having a skim of the posts and traits has improved my mindset (at least temporarily). I think this kind of thing could be helpful to a lot of men. The attitudes towards men and the ideas about who men should be which I’ve perceived to be coming out of feminist circles and places like r/MensLib seem to at least in someways be detrimental, so it’s very refreshing to come across your sub. Keep up the good work and th…

Also women: dads be good to your daughters because everything wrong with me is my dads fault! To be fair, reading her post it sounds like her father was pretty unpleasant to her and it does sound like he’s caused her some emotional and psychological issues. I didn’t really see anything wrong with what she wrote on her part. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely a lot of unpleasantness in feminist spaces directed at men in general and certain subsets of men, and there are many issues with femini…

It feels like trying to fight two armies of a million people to your left and your right all by yourself. Sadly, I feel like the best thing to do is just give up and stop wasting any more mental bandwidth on larger societal problems. It sounds like it can be really tough for you at times and I’m sorry to hear it makes you feel how it does. It can definitely be draining and depressing for sure. And it’s not up to any particular one of us to carry the burden of pushing back against all this. And w…

You ok bro? This vid seems to have got to you quite a lot. You shouldn’t feel ashamed if you’re dealing with shit bro, and there are places you can reach out to for help if you need it. Could be an idea to hit up r/KindVoice if you want someone to listen to what you’re going through

Ah shit sorry, I was intending to be satirical, I guess I should’ve put in an ‘/s’. In all seriousness I thought it was a good post, it’s kinda ridiculous how much attention is put on the wage gap without really considering other facets of life.
