Not Missouri. St. Louis has all kinds of kick ass things to do.

My sahs does all that. When I'm home she might be doing chores while I'm spending time with the kids, but her total time doing actual work for the family instead of her hobbies is about 4-6 hours a day compared to my 8-10 of work. When you aggregate the stats, it makes it look bad, so people get angry. They assume that the man and women are working equal jobs. They are not. A mechanic married to a bank teller have their jobs do entirely different things to their bodies. Most men work overtime wh…

I'm not a redpiller/MRA, but I managed a single income family with only average income for a number of years. 1: choose where you live better. 2: don't compare yourself to two income families 3: budget. 4: both need to be handy/crafty/diy. We made our own baby food. Gerber carrot babygood is currently $1.69 for 4 ounces of carrots and water (listed as 2 servings) Right now, Walmart is listing a 2lb bag of carrots for $1.44. That makes way more baby food with just a little effort. Eat out smartly…

500 days of summer, scott pilgrim, eternal sunshine, garden state. But I have a hard time classing those as romcom. Scott Pilgrim maybe. But the others are pretty light on the comedy compared to something like 50 first dates.

16 candles (hell, most of John Hughes movies), chasing amy, something about mary, juno, amelie, clueless. Plenty of guys like romcoms, but it is true that many don't realize they are watching a romcom when they say they like Groundhog Day. They think of movies like Bridget Jones Diary when guys say they don't like romcoms. I do agree that most young guys are stunted. But honestly, most young people are stunted, male or female. Us millennials got screwed up by helicopter parenting and are continu…

I am opposed to modern feminism, but actively advise and support women on how to enter and advance in the engineering field and actively recruit women and poc's to engineering positions.

"Older" is a relative term. We might statistically define a 2 year gap as dating older, but they may view it as in their range, and not see age until close to a 5-10 year gap. So 22-24 year olds dating 25-26 year olds could be enough to pull the stats. Meanwhile, 18 year old dudes dating 16-17 year olds could also be on a steep decline. Those two together would be enough to explain it. Pure conjecture, but a plausible hypothesis to see if the data supports it.

Can we agree to address each other's position and not stuff talking points into each other's mouths? I never claimed alimony is a windfall, or that women weren't harmed in divorce. I'm not a redpiller. I don't agree with a lot of what they have to say. So I'm not going to defend any position except the ones I state. The stats, including bankruptcy, are all muddy, so it's hard to draw large conclusions as to why. Look, if a woman actually gave up a career. Meaning she had training and a job and q…

44% of women would prefer to stay at home than have a career according to one study. It's not the majority, but I think it qualifies as many. You may think it's absurd, but your opinion is not more valuable than mine. Either stop or actually back up your position. You may say that alimony isn't punitive, but in many cases it's hard not to see it that way. If the home spouse gets awarded alimony simply because they are unhappy and left after a certain calendar time, tell me why she deserves alimo…

You're moving the goalpost. You claimed a prenup can protect against alimony. I'm well aware that prenups must follow state law. And the "don't get married if you're going to try and screw your partner" needs to be said to the women as well. We need both fault and no fault divorce and different rules in each situation. A sahp should not win by default even if they are the cause of divorce. If it's no fault, why does anyone owe anything? If they are abused and mistreated, I agree they should be c…

No you can't. Prenup only offers limited protections. A stay home spouse that you have a kid and stayed together for a decade will have an easy time getting any "no alimony" clauses kicked out.

Not all stay at home spouses sacrifices a career. Many are actively choosing the lifestyle and rejecting careers. How do you differentiate? Easy: filing party. No fault filed by the primary income earner means limited alimony for the other party. No fault filed by the stay home spouse means they walk away from any economic claim. Remember, it is no fault, meaning nobody did wrong. Fault based divorce should be a thing and have significant ramifications for the party in the wrong. Abuse your spou…

I think you two are talking past each other. Your stats are not incompatible, but you're not thinking of the implications. Let's say you're right that most people still are not leaving high school as virgins (totally plausible in the 40% number). It still doesn't change the fact that the decline from 70% sexually active to 40% sexually active means that, overall, high schoolers have less sex today than they did back in the 90's.

It's a game of chicken. A lot of men don't want to appear preadatory. A lot of women won't approach men. And then women complain about the lack of quality dates, and men complain about women being unapproachable. So we all head down the road of loneliness with everyone afraid to initiate "first contact" outside the "safe space" of the internet.
