Encouraging someone to work on their self-esteem issues is one thing. Painting someone as crazy because they don't like their partner constantly comparing them with a hot ex is another.

To be honest, this episode weirded me out a little bit. I felt like Reaux was downplaying the guys' faults a lot. It's weird to compare being upset over your fiancé telling you that they find their ex hotter than you with "Well I wouldn't need my partner to gush over me constantly". A lot of not-like-other-girlsing going on - "I wouldn't be offended over this", "I am just more logical that that" as a response to two women being uncomfortable with the way their partners compare their bodies to ot…

I used to mix them up all the time too, but Lilith's voice is a little deeper and sometimes nasal while Reaux' voice is more sharp and clear

Ugh I am so thankful for this episode. I appreciate all the dating strategy ones too, but I really reaaaally enjoy you ladies weighing in on everyday stuff like lowbrow TV from time to time in order to have a little balance on the usual discourse on the same topics. Very helpful reframing! Would also love to know where Lilith is </3

First of all, thank you ladies again for a very insightful podcast episode, I enjoyed listening as always 🙏 And also, congrats to marking the 70th episode, that's a huge achievement! Especially in the day and age where everyone and their father tries to churn out podcasts, which then quickly fizzle out after the first few episodes. Really goes to show that you're producing content that is actually wanted and useful! There's one minor thing that I kinda had a gripe with in this episode, and that …

Yeah, to be honest the narcissist talk was starting to grind on me even back in the Love is Blind episode 😅 I'm sure there are people who'd benefit from hearing Lilith's experience on this topic but I'd rather hear it in a specialized episode rather than a recurring back-and-forth on "Is this guy a narcissist or not?" IIRC, it was even mentioned in the Lundy Bancroft episode that we should be careful not to pathologize every scrotey behaviour. All in all I enjoyed the episode though, as always!

Writing about porn is generally not a no-no in academia. I had an entire seminar on sex work/ porn in my philosophy course and we read/ analyzed plenty of literature by feminists (our professor wanted us to critically read both liberal and radical feminist papers, but didn't put pressure on us to endorse or reject either side). Everyone wrote a paper about the topic - standard procedure, "spicy" takes weren't discouraged. Feminism and women's studies are an exciting topic to study and if you bro…

Really sucked to see in her documentary how her boyfriend at the time mistreated her. Imagine being Paris fucking Hilton and still having to deal with useless scrotes who think they're better than you smh

👸 Reaux blueballing horny scrotes at the club with "first of all, I am a Christian" 🤡 Orgasm-free-"Do the Patriarchy to me"-gal 💯 Discussion about changes in the dating scene since Covid19 and Lilith's "I haven't been catcalled this much since I was twelve" 💀💀💀 Can't decide about the scrotes :( 💩 The old sports magazine dude who wants to spit in girls' mouths 🤢 💩 The druggie who started a blind-date by taking a long, resounding shit in the bathroom of his tiny apartment

Fuckbois are everywhere. There are young men who didn't participate in hookup culture, and there are old men who do participate in hookup culture (or at least they desperately attempt to, lmao). I used to think that older men would automatically be classier or more gentlemanlike or whatever but nah. Lies.

Looking at the photos of incel killers should give incels an indication that their obsession with looks as the sole thing that's preventing them from finding love is completely misplaced.

Browsing other dating subs, I've often read the claim that men's self image is so much worse than women's (that part is already debatable lmao) because women are regularly being hit on and can feel validation from that. Like sure, I feel sooo validated when some random dude values me highly enough for sticking his stanky peen in me for a few minutes?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
