It's college, start a study group, stand events on campus, find a reason to get a girls number "hey I'm not gonna be here next class, can you text me if I miss anything important?" Is a great opener. You really have to go out of your way to meet new people and that won't change, you'll meet a lot of people and never speak to them again but that's all part of it. If you want to participate you gotta participate, being shy will only lead to you wishing you had done more down the road.

Be clear with your intentions with him. If you want him to do something put it into words and express it CLEARLY. A lot of guys are afraid of making girls uncomfortable by pushing too hard (especially when it comes to sex stuff) try having a moment to DTR an tell him what you are and aren't ok with in those areas. Let him know he can openly communicate his wants and needs to you and vice versa

If she has a mans, take her out ya plans I always say. There's no winning, let's say she's into you and leaves her man for you: you're a rebound and she def ain't over the guy. Or you shoot your shot and get turned down because she is comitted to her man. Or she leaves the guy, and needs time to heal and discover herself after the breakup, or she's just seeking attention bc she ain't getting it when she wants.
