I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt as we'd be getting out of work about then. I've been out of work since a medical incident, I figured he just wanted to check on me like everyone else has. And I hoped maybe he was just kind of young and clueless. I figured the truth was better. One, because it's the truth. Two, because I dont have to keep delaying and covering. Three because maybe he'll learn something. And end up better than trying to play covert games like a playboy.

That's pretty much what I ended up saying. He just said "ok" I just feel bad rejecting people I guess, and I was trying to do it gently.

I just didn't want to be mean or make it awkward. I knew him for months and he was one of the better workers and it helped a lot to have him around. I did end up telling him I couldnt and why and he just said okay. Going to avoid talking to him now. No need to be rude.

Unfortunately. I wonder why he's broken up with his childs mother so soon after birth, too. Sad stuff.

No, broke up with her a few months ago, apparently. I didn't see until he'd asked about a food dish I'd brought to work, and I was going to offer to drop some off for the both of them, especially since they're trying to take care of a baby. It's hard to find time for yourself, so I try to help new parents out. But when I looked at his page to make sure I spelled her name right, it said single instead. This is the first time he's texted me. He doesn't usually add people from work at we aren't fri…

I appreciate it. It's nice to see everyones insight anyway, so I don't mind letting it die naturally.

Well, he does have a baby that was born a few months ago. He has to know some things. But yeah, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Especially since we both work late

It's weird because I talk about my boyfriend at work. Idk I think he was just looking for an in, I decided to explain it to him like the beginning of my post and he seemed to take it alright

Thank you. My boyfriend told me he doesn't deserve me being nice and just to block him but I decided to explain and he just said ok, so I think my problem is solved Sorry for dragging y'all into something unnecessarily but I appreciate the input! I guess I wont delete because I'm not supposed to

Well he's away in the military (I got out before him) and super busy and I try not to bother him with extra stress for things I can handle myself. He's never even heard of this kid idk where to start

I think he's still too young to drink. I'm 25, and he might be 20

Thank you 🙏 Everyone's so liberal and whatever these days, and they think its a big control/trust issue but 1+1 still equals 2. We trust each other, but part of that trust is avoiding ghe possibility of a situation in the first place.

I'm recovering from some severe anemia anyway, I haven't gone out since I was admitted to the hospital late september. So at least I have that excuse, but geez, hate dodging around things. Thanks for your input and validation ✨️

I had this problem in a previous relationship, but it could well be very different from yours. If I tried helping with anything he'd get upset, and tell me he's not an old man he can do things himself. Trying to cook together was always an argument. He never let me wash his clothes. If he cooked he did the dishes, too. And it was all very nice. He also insisted on paying for everything, which again was nice but I like to contribute some. For other reasons we ended up not working. When I found my…

I dated a few men that were less masculine than me because I had been raised to be very independent and take care of everything myself. But I got tired of that and found my husband who, even if he doesn't know as much about cars or construction as I do, is very masculine and strong and makes me feel like "the woman" in the dynamic. All in time.

I wish someone had told me to wait to have sex. Like, really wait for someone who won't make me feel disgusted later. It was treated like it was inevitable that I'd start having sex at a young age, that I'd fool around, whatever. I wasn't a slut, but I was very curious and wasn't bring protected. I guess they figured helicoptering over me would make it worse, but. Idk. I'm working on a way to explain this to my future kids. Also, I'd like to put in perspective why gender roles exist, how they ca…

That last part makes me think about how huge a difference confidence makes. Learning to walk with confidence (not too much obviously) can make you instantly more attractive.

This probably sounds like a lot to most, but having a similar job and hating having to come home and do it myself made me realize what a difference it makes. When he comes home, I greet him and kiss him on the cheek or wherever. I take his bag and jacket if he's wearing one. Then, once he's sitting, I take his shoes and socks off and blow on his feet. I know! But I can't help spoiling him. He always goes, "ahhhh!" And it's really the cutest thing. Even though his feet do stink. If they're that b…

Yeah I feel like these new age feminists want to pull the "poor me" card, not realizing at all how in charge we really are and always have been. It's a system, and it works.

I just learned about engaging my core and I went from not being able to do a pull up to doing 5 easily, without practice. All I've done is squeeze my inner abdominal muscles and use those to assist the other muscles, whatever it is I'm doing. Also planks and leg lifts help a lot. Start at one minute with planks. Focus on keeping yourself lifted as high as you can. And then I usually crank music to try forget what I'm doing. A few seconds distracted makes a world of difference. Oh, and breathe. P…

In the military a relationship through a move like that is either 1) Going to breakup, and people actually expect this of this type of relationship which creates a weird atmosphere. But again LDR is very hard especially in the military. We've all seen some horrible things. With a lack of a real relationship, holding together through that is unlikely. If he deploys, very little contact for several months. 2) You get married. Or you move where he is and get a job there to help out financially. If …

Yeah I understand this and the dynamic you can fall into if you're not careful. But a lot falls on how you handle it with your mannerisms. If the job isnt taking too much out of you, just be gracious to him as your husband. If it is, or maybe you just want to cut your hours down, up to you. Everyone is hiring if you decided to jump back in, or maybe find a way to make money off of a niche hobby.

My mom's side of the family has a history of married couples reaching a certain age where they get separate bedrooms. It's close to their 50s. They always keep them so minimalistic and yet sentimental. I have nice memories of going into either of my grandparents bedrooms and looking around. Nothing ever changed.

We ended up adding a medium light amount of meat to it, if you're into that. Or you could bake a whole chicken and slice that up. Editing to add: my Grandmother always slices up a couple of fresh vegetables to enjoy on the side of dinner like cucumber, green pepper, tomato. Having something fresh adds that extra touch. When I first lived alone and meal prepped I had portioned entrees and sides to heat up. I'd come home from work and heat those up and chop up something fresh. Felt like a real mea…

I'll notice I'm doing that and i notice that im not putting as much effort into my appearance, either. It can be a drag, but if I paint my nails and shower and put something nice but comfortable on, that seems to help. Usually my husband wants to initiate more when I'm not trying, so that makes it easier for me. I can get all dressed up and he thinks it's nice, but it's when I'm just laying around being comfortable that he wants to come kiss on me. I make sure I don't forget anything that I do f…

Basically you just learn how to move and adjust the cloth. You can iron or steam wrinkles into something just as easily, so just pay attention to the seams and the way you move the fabric in place. There will be a lot of small adjustments but it's kind of like making a bed. You make one big movement that hopefully gets you closer with just a few smaller ones as you go. It's constant motion. Lead with the point of the iron and wiggle it around some. That's everything I've picked up since learning…
