I would have loved to have more rolemodels growing up. So I am trying to be the best rolemodel I can be for my younger sisters and nieces. I am an outspoken feminist and I started to notice how they are asking me more and more questions about feminism and life as a woman. I am becoming the go to aunt for these kind of questions and I'm loving it.

Whenever you have a big accomplishment, its a good time for vetting. I love how my boyfriend celebrates my accomplishments with me. He is at all my events, tells me he is proud of me and buys me presents. It is one of the signs that he is HV for me.

that's the cool thing about maturity - I'm more empathetic than ever, but I'm discerning about who to give away my empathy to. So true, five years back I couldn't image saying this, I would have called myself heartless, but I love becoming less empathic and not investing all my time and energy in people who do not deserve my empathy.

Yeah, when I was in college I signed up for some kind of student community. In my first year, I had a lot of men approach me, who tried to shoot their shot. When I became older, I learned from the older women that this happened every year. Some guys were just desperated to get a girlfriend and 'fell in love' with the new young girls every year. The age gap became, during the years, of course bigger, which meant that I, as an 18 year old girl, got hit on, by 26 year olds. These guys were not on t…

I love learning new things including how to use power tools. There is just something about knowing how to build things and how to fix your own stuff like your house. HV men will be enthousiastic to teach you how to use tools and will be happy to share their knowledge with you. It's a good vetting strategy to see how men react when you are enthousiastic about traditonal tasks mostly men used to do.

I just don't understand. If it is so expensive for them to ask a woman out, why do they not select their choices better? If I had only the money to spend on one woman every month, I better really try to get to know her and make sure we are probably a good match. But then again, if the price of one dinner is too much, they can maybe better focus on their jobs and education instead of dating.

This is so true. By their standards I am apparently courting my girlfriends. I pay for their dinners, ask them on 'housedates' were I cook, give them sometimes flowers or other little presents just for the fun of it, write them letters and craft them cards, remember their birthdays, celebrate their accomplishments, support them in hard times, call them and take the time to see them. If I can do such things for my girlfriends, why on earth can a man not do the same for the woman he says he is in …

Great insight! He is indeed maintaining his 'nice guy facade' by being able to brag about a ring, that he will never buy. He gets the positive character feedback, without having to actually spend the money. The turn he is making is just cruel. First he brags about the amount of money he is saving, then he turns around and makes her feel materialistic. She was right to assume that the amount he saved was more than 300 dollars. What kind of job does he have, if he dares to call that saving? Dude, …

So stupid. It is just a self-fulfilling prophecy, of course she is gonna dump him when she is tired of his bullshit. He is setting himself up for failure with this mindset.

I really don't understand this mindset. Why would you say something like that? What has the ex to do with his current relationship? If he wants to be happy and to have a good relationship, he better treats his new girl right, so they will have a happy relationship together. How on earth can he think that his new relationship will be fine, while refusing to do the most basic shit, because 'he already did that for his ex'. He is not over his ex, take that from me. Plus he is childlike if he thinks…

Tells you that the man is the head of the family/household, therefore he will have the final say in all important decisions

I just can't imagine accepting that your boyfriend calls you a slur and then proudly posting it too. I would be so embarassed for how the boyfriend is talking to me. Calling each other names is a hard boundary for me. If my boyfriend would ever call me that, I'm out. Oh wait, I would be out already, when he couldn't bring himself to pick up his own socks. The disrespect is just too much for me. Really hope that she will realize that she is worth more than that.

You are spot on. You just put my feelings into words. It is such a scary feeling. Even when you know someone for such a long time, you can never predict perfectly how someone is gonna react when life changes occur or when they grow older. I know that I can make it on my own, but I would like to have a partner who I can trust and build a life with. It just makes me sad to always wonder if someone will be the same high value person in 5-10 years or when life changes happen. There are just no guare…

This little fact is so disturbing. How on earth did he not even ask if she was allright? Oh we no, because he doesn't care about that.

You are so right, the age gap is really interesting to see. I don't even read the posts anymore, I just look at the ages, read the last line of the story and can predict almost 95% accurately what will be the judgment of the sub. Another thing that I see in these posts, is that it is always, always, always the younger person/woman posting. I almost start wondering why... /s
