That theory makes sense! When I was younger and bigger, it was a big deal to find food when I got hungry. And now, (well, I weigh more but I'm much leaner), sometimes I forget to eat. Eating is just not a big deal anymore.

So, I'm going to give my two cents, and it might be at odd with a lot of RPWs here. I was in a similar situation once, but on the other side. I got to a point where sleeping with my SO felt like a chore. We both had a matching sex drive, but I just wasn't feeling it. The reason why sex became a chore was that it became this expectation. It stopped being this fun, spontaneous experience of connection. For my SO, his world began to revolve around me. Boundaries started to slip, and what we loved, …

I'm incredibly surprised then. Hmm, I'd have to agree with many of the other posters. As much as you too enjoy each other, as much as you both agree on some life values- this is one value that would tear the two of you apart and could very well lead to cheating on his end (if not now, then later, say after a few kids and the stress and such pile up). If your tagline thingy here is correct- you are 22. You can afford to drop this guy and pursue someone who will match your core values including fi…

It's possibly over-said, but it does tend to be true: invest in yourself and your hobbies, and you'll eventually find like minded people. Be pleasant with the women you encounter, even if you don't agree with their ideas. If their hearts are at least in the right place (otherness, empathy, accountability etc), those friendships will still be very rewarding and meaningful even if you don't agree on everything.

In your position, I would throw it away. This does not sound like the basis of a lasting relationship. If he is to be a promising relationship, the two of you will have to form a new relationship, because this is a bad dynamic. He's using you for emotional support, but he's not truly there for you. So cut him off, but be polite, honest, and civil about it. Don't ghost him. But don't stay emotionally connected to something that is going no where. Because he honestly sounds like he has some maturi…

Hmm. I compare myself to celebrities when it's useful. Like, my facial structure is similar to Fan Bingbing's so I like copying her makeup. But I have A-cup boobs and a semi-boyish frame, so I'm better off comparing my body to other itty-bitty-titty-commitee celebrities, and that's just for fashion. A lot of people I see when I people watch are actually low-key gorgeous. They just don't know how to dress themselves, apply make up, style their hair, etc. And celebs have full on teams for that thi…

Can you rationalize this for me please? What I struggle with is trying to be an honorable person while still carrying out the first half of your advice. When it comes to crying, I've always been deeply ashamed of it, and viewed it as a sort of manipulation tactic (even when I was legitimately crying). I've let up a little bit, I don't mind crying about happy things, or laughing until I cry. That vulnerability about negative emotions is something I find very difficult to do. In part because I'm a…

Yes actually. Growing up, I heard a lot of comments like "half my life is spent waiting on women", "but it's okay, you don't have to have any integrity; women don't have integrity, that's a man thing", "you women are always changing your minds", "you women are always crying- crying when you're happy or you're sad" So I definitely did not want to be that. As I think over this more, I can see that so much of my struggle is to be this moral person, but on some level, so much of morality is tied to …

I read something is this pdf. I can't remember exactly where it was in the book, but apparently, as you start to incorporate more feminine characteristics after a long period of being a shrew, you might get a "pandora's box" reaction. The husband finally feels comfortable enough that he can unload all of these emotions. As difficult as it is, the book suggests hearing him out and letting him feel valid in his complaints and encourage him to open up. He will get over it an see that you've improve…
