As Americans, our friends had to file extensive paperwork to get approval for their blood relatives to visit (the grandmother and stepson) and were denied twice before approval happened. You need special visas and most of the time they are denied. Tourists are not welcome. If you go, you can claim you are making a pilgrimage to Mecca but I've NO clue what is required for that to be approved as I'm neither Arab nor Muslim.

It's called giving confidence. I feel that that response is better than just reading and moving along when I, personally, am attracted to people who are different than the norm. If I posted something about my insecurity, and someone found it attractive, it would make me at least smile. Thanks for the explanation, though. Apparently you weren't the only one who felt that way.

Appreciate ya, again. I went ahead and told him that if he truly cared for this child that it would behoove him to support it financially even now. She lives in her car because at the beginning of the year, her sister beat the shit out of her. Instead of staying there, she started sleeping in her car, and stayed in school. I never said she was irresponsible, I said she is a broke college student. She is set to graduate in less than two years with her bachelors. She was using an iud and it failed. She owns her own car, and is paying her way through school without any help. The only times she didn't have a job as an adult are due to being in school. She even supported them while in school when they were together. They are both pretty outstanding people under less stressful circumstances.

To clarify, he is terrified because his own mother abandoned him. This has nothing to do with the pregnant lady. His own mother is crazy, or so he says. Like, he truly believes she should be medicated. He is mad at the pregnant one because she visits her friends who smoke indoors, but he is really okay with (even advocates her use of) the pot. Maybe search for women who are better at your passions than you are. Otherwise I think you will be unhappy. A conversation is a two-way street, why can't you appreciate that people are different than you, thus enjoy things that you don't? Or that your passions might seem like garbage and lifeless to these women? Maybe you need to figure out what kind of person you are looking for, or maybe have too specific a criteria?

Treating her like she has passions and dreams in life is a sure place to start asshole. Maybe you should see these women as human beings with drive rather than only appeasing your needs in a conversation.
