I don’t understand this comment? There are feminists, like bell hooks, who have consistently pointed out how women can and do uphold the patriarchy: “We need to highlight the role women play in perpetuating and sustaining patriarchal culture so that we will recognize patriarchy as a system women and men support equally, even if men receive more rewards from that system. Dismantling and changing patriarchal culture is work that men and women must do together.” The r/AskFeminists even has this in …

Here’s an excerpt from a NIH study: “Third, the key domain in which large and persistent gender differences emerged were women’s disproportionate losses in household income and associated increases in their risk of poverty and single parenting. Taken together, these findings suggest that men’s disproportionate strain of divorce is transient, whereas women’s is chronic.” “Explanations for these gender inequalities highlight four risk factors for women (Bröckel and Andress 2015; Holden and Smock 1…

Why does that matter? Shouldn’t mutual attraction be established before going on a date? If you ask a woman out and she says “no,” does the reason she said “no” matter? It could have been your looks, she could be in a relationship, or she could be a lesbian. The end result is the same. You can then apply your energy toward someone that likes you and is attracted to you without fear of plausible deniability.

Sure, but what specific upliftment acts should be taken? What is included in a person’s background outside of their race and gender? Do you not think there should be specific acts targeted toward problems of specific groups?

I feel like neither party cares about the bottom 90% of male earners, but several men obviously agree with you. What kind of policies would you like to see on either party platform? When I think about what we could do for men practically, I usually think UBI, universal healthcare, wealth redistribution, male birth control, increased focus on community and public services, etc. Anything that can help men (and everyone really) live healthier, fuller lives.

Why did the men agree to those things? If you’re one of those American men, what have you gained from Trump’s current term?

There are varying degrees of caring and not caring though. I care about the “men’s loneliness epidemic” (partially because these men might lash out), but what, realistically, else can I do? Dating a man out of pity is not a kindness. There are also women and nonbinary people that are lonely; I feel bad for them just as much as I feel bad for the men, but I’m also not going to date them out of pity. What do you want women to do? It sounds like MRAs want women to lower their “astronomical” standar…

Honestly, I feel so bad for this girl. A teenager fresh out of high school? She’s barely had time to live life as an adult if they’ve been “dating for a while,” and he’s going to marry her? How long has he known her? Was this started as a relationship between two consenting adults? Age gap relationships aren’t always predatory, but this seems sus as fuck. I hope OP’s fiancée is able to still grow and develop while in this relationship regardless. She’s inevitably going to change and learn things…

I understand that. But to have that kind of intimacy you need to be able to trust, listen to, and work with your partner. If someone doesn’t want to work towards that level of intimacy and connection, what other options besides FWB, a non-traditional relationship, or sex workers are there?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 02:27 PM

In that case, why not have a FWB or fuck buddy situation? Or see a sex worker regularly and develop a relationship with her? You’d be free of “weird obligations” and you can still get your dick wet. If you don’t like the responsibilities that come with a typical monogamous relationship, then you can also find someone that doesn’t want traditional relationship dynamic. Of course it might take more time to find a partner, but at least you’ll be honest with your partner.

The Girl Scouts will not let boys in because they want to create a girl-safe space, and GSAdidn't want the BSA to start taking in girls either. Also, Boy Scouts of America no longer exists; it is now Scouting America because BSA went bankrupt after multiple sexual abuse allegations and separation from the Mormon Church. Allowing girls in Scouting America was mostly a financial decision, and there are still all-boys troops.

Is Christianity or Judaism “big on feminism”? All Abrahamic religions are patriarchal; that’s why there’s a greater number of women turning away from religion. You’re making some pretty xenophobic assumptions about immigrants.

When are you obligated to defend society and “especially women”? What are you doing to defend society for men, and how would you exclude women from this defense? Are women collectively responsible for sending men to war, or is it a few powerful people at the top of society? I just don’t understand the practical application of this statement. It sounds like an emotionally juvenile response to OP’s post. But yes, you aren’t obligated to defend “this” society or any other outside drafts that women …

Do you have sources for the “well-documented backstabbing, gossiping, and duplicity” of solely women other than stereotypes?

This feels very culturally dependent tbh. Americans (and other westerners) fear aging in ways others just don’t. Even within the US, women like Angela Basset, Regina Hall, and Beyoncé are still heralded as beauties. And People’s sexiest man alive is always criticized lol; I wouldn’t look at print media to really have their finger on the pulse anymore. We have social media now unc 🥰. And People magazine has nominated Blake Shelton and Mel Gibson (🤢) over Manny Jacinto, Jensen Ackles, or Skepta. T…

Thankies 😊 Edit: I love the bottle episode of Community lol. Yeah, but I think taking the time to consider other people’s perspectives (male or female) is the point of those pieces of media, no? To be honest, this is an area where I think trans people and their experiences can really help us understand more about our hormones. I’m excited to see what we learn about hormones as time progresses.

To be honest, It’s the “I’d accept 1 time her saying not in the mood.” What happens if she says “no” more than 1 time? I’d hope you just break up with the girl if you didn’t get what you want, but that phrasing has implications of violence. There’s also no room in this answer for the complexities of life. There’s not even a mention of the quality of the sex - just the frequency of it. It feels like you’d be a good candidate for the future sex robots or a fuck buddy situation

It’s an infantilizing view of men, but I agree that it isn’t in line with the anti-bioessentialist stance many feminists take. I think “feminists” is used in this subreddit to describe any woman left of center.

Can you give an example of this set up in media? I have seen a few mainstream examples of discussing periods (Turning Red, Carrie), but a man learning about his partner’s cycle to understand her better? I can’t think of an example, and I can’t find any mainstream examples either.

The definition of Autogynephilia is “a male's propensity to be sexually aroused by the thought or image of himself as female” or “an erotic interest in the thought or image of oneself as a woman.” This has nothing to do with how an outside observer would perceive a woman. Do you have another word for the first phenomenon you mention? That’s also not what comphet means? Comphet specifically is about queer people feeling pressure to align themselves to a heteronormative society. Are there women wh…

Maybe? But you’re assuming that women use Reddit for masturbatory material which is my main issue with your claim. People share porn on discord, twitter, even Tumblr back in the day. And that’s not counting mainstream porn sites, erotic novels, audio fics, or fanfics. A lack of a “short man fetish” subreddit doesn’t mean that no women are into short men. What someone gets off to doesn’t always reflect their sole interests. Also, seriously where is the tall men porn subreddit? That’s a hilarious …

Is there a sub that fetishizes tall men? Are “fetish” subreddits a meaningful reflection of human desire?

Honest question: if there were artificially intelligent androids capable of acting in truly human-like manners, would you choose to buy an android “woman”? Assuming of course that she could “love” you in a way that felt authentic?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 04:44 PM

I’m curious. Can you share the stats connecting love of fried chicken to crime? Can you include the breakdown of Korean fried chicken, karaage, southern fried chicken, and buffalo wings? Maybe coxinha? Chicken 65? Fried chicken and the (US) South go hand in hand. Is crime worse there?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
