Agreed. This is why it’s silly when men complain about child support - don’t have sex if you can’t face the consequences. Celibacy is an option.

Weird. I'm a woman and I've never felt threatened by porn. In my adult life, I've never had problems finding guys who want to have sex with and/or date me.

Not all rape is forcible, and definitely not all rape shows signs of forcible penetration. Raping an unconscious or asleep woman is not forcible but is still rape. Raping a woman who is saying "no" but is not fighting you off is still rape even though there wouldn't be any signs of forcible penetration.

That's actually not true in the slightest. Weight loss is calories in minus calories out. If you eat 4000 calories a day in bacon, peanut butter and avocado, you're still going to be fat. If you eat 1200 calories a day in rice and beans, you're not going to get fat. And even if you were right, the aforementioned single cheeseburger and small fries still has nearly three times as many carbs as the highest calorie Wendy's salad and dressing.
/r/MensRights28/04/14 05:53 PM

Bullshit detected. A single quarter-pounder cheeseburger with a small fry is more caloric than the highest-calorie salad with the highest-calorie salad dressing. Guess those women aren't so vapid after all, hmm?

...Literally what are you talking about? Where did I mention harassment in my posts? Where did I say that men hitting on women is predatory and threatening? Did you actually read my posts or do you just want to make things up to make yourself upset?
/r/MensRights27/04/14 06:38 PM
1

And the post I responded to was saying that women who go to a bar without their husbands are playing hard to get. No where did I even mention harassment.
/r/MensRights27/04/14 06:07 PM
1

Uh, I never said that was sexual harassment? Why are you putting words in my mouth?
/r/MensRights27/04/14 05:40 PM
1

Or how about the fact that people go out to bars for reasons other than getting hit on?
/r/MensRights27/04/14 05:16 PM

So are men who go to the bars without their wives also playing hard to get?
/r/MensRights27/04/14 05:00 PM

Wait, hold on, women shouldn't be allowed to go to bars or clubs without their husbands or else they're playing hard to get?
/r/MensRights27/04/14 01:07 PM

Yes, the study says that intentionally brushing up against someone in a sexual way is sexual harassment. Do you disagree with that?

What about people who are neither XX nor XY?

I never said that every single hair place on the planet charges more for women. I said it's a general trend.
/r/MensRights21/04/14 08:43 PM

Anecdotal evidence of one place isn't data.
/r/MensRights19/04/14 09:53 PM

So because one barber shop charges the same for men and women, they all do. Right.
/r/MensRights19/04/14 03:55 PM

Go to (or hell, just call up) any hair salon and ask how much it would it would cost for you to get a buzz cut. Then ask how much it would cost for your sister/girlfriend/whatever to get a buzz cut. Let me now what they say.
/r/MensRights16/04/14 03:47 PM

Actually, that is how it works. Women do have to pay more to get a buzz cut than you do. Haircuts are charged as "men" and "women," not "long hair" and "short hair."
/r/MensRights15/04/14 10:32 PM

Women don't receive child support without explicitly requesting it either. There are many many ex-couples (in fact, the majority) who make their custody arrangements outside of court, and many a time, child support isn't part of the picture at all.
/r/MensRights07/04/14 02:53 PM

No, they don't. They still have to pay child support.

I'm not talking about him, I'm talking about Sarah Jones.
/r/MensRights10/12/13 06:38 PM
-1

What are you talking about? The boy was 17 when the sex first occurred.
/r/MensRights10/12/13 06:32 AM
-4

So if she had sex with him less than a year later it would be okay?
/r/MensRights10/12/13 04:23 AM
-1

...Because it's not rape?
/r/MensRights10/12/13 04:22 AM
-2

So you spoke your opinion that she is a dirty fucking whore. Good job.
/r/MensRights10/12/13 01:01 AM
-11

Except these men chose to marry their teachers after they became adults.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 11:14 PM
-2

So you didn't actually say: It is the opinion of this poster that she is a dirty fucking whore who I feel contributes nothing and whom I intuit might better serve the world as fertilizer or food for dogs. YMMV.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 10:38 PM

So all men are children who are not responsible for their actions? If a man chooses to marry a woman who he had sex with when he was underage, he can't actually love the woman, he must be a perpetual child who is actually a victim?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 10:13 PM
-3

No, I'm asking if you think men who have consensual sex with 16-year-olds are dirty whores who deserve to get fed to dogs. Do you?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 10:09 PM

I did. Where did I say she was a dirty whore? Are you confusing me with yourself??
/r/MensRights09/12/13 09:25 PM
-6

Oh, so it was part of the plea deal. That's why.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 09:14 PM

Where did I say that?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 09:13 PM

So would you say the same of a man who has sex with a consenting 17 year old who then gets engaged to their "victim" afterward?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:48 PM
-4

So how do you know for sure she has not registered as a sex offender?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:47 PM
-3

No, I think neither should be considered rapists of predators.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:09 PM

I understand that, but having consensual sex with a 17-year-old boy is not child molestation.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:08 PM

Then how was I libelous?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:07 PM

And what are sex offender registry laws? Do you know who is required to be put on the registry?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:06 PM

But shouldn't the sex offender registry be reserved for those who harm others? Who did this teacher harm?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:02 PM

Wait, so female teachers who have consensual sex with their students are dirty whores who deserve to be fed to dogs, but male teachers who do the same thing aren't?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 08:00 PM

Wait, so you do think it's okay for a male teacher to do the same thing Sarah Jones did?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:51 PM

But why should she be registered as a sex offender? Who did she hurt? And how does the law define her as a "rapist"?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:51 PM

She was convicted for having sex with a student, which is sexual abuse in the first degree.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:50 PM

So you think she is a rapist even though they are now getting married? She should be a registered sex offender even though she is now engaged to her only "victim"? Who, exactly, did she hurt in this situation?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:48 PM
1

Do you have any examples of this?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:39 PM

No, you should use accurate terminology instead of trying to paint this woman as a child molester for having consensual sex with a student above the age of consent.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:35 PM

She's a dirty whore because she had consensual sex with a student above the age of consent? Are male teachers who have consensual sex with their students above the age of consent also dirty whores who deserve to be fed to dogs?
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:31 PM

She wasn't convicted for child molestation. She was convicted for having sex with a student at the school she teaches at.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:26 PM

She actually neither raped nor molested him. Her crime was not having sex with an underage boy, it was having sex with a student. Her and her "rape victim," as you put it, are getting married now.
/r/MensRights09/12/13 07:20 PM

I'm curious as to why MensRights thinks she "molested" a child. She had sex with a 17 year old who is above the age of consent and they're now getting married. Not rape.

I disagree, but at least you are consistent. I think men and women should pay the same for insurance. Many MRAs unfortunately believe that men and women should pay the same for car insurance, but not health insurance, which is hypocritical.
/r/MensRights26/11/13 01:45 AM

Um, exactly? That's why you double up on birth control methods. Women take the pill, men wear condoms. Now you're protected.
/r/MensRights26/11/13 12:02 AM

It seems as though you are offering absurd solutions solely because you are getting proven wrong. Women should be responsible for their birth control, and men should be responsible for theirs. How is this hard to understand?

/r/MensRights24/11/13 09:34 PM

It looks as though you're deliberately twisting my words. Women are already responsible for birth control methods other than condoms, such as the pill/patch/IUD/etc., so men should be responsible for condoms.

So do you believe that men and women should pay the same for car insurance?
/r/MensRights24/11/13 09:33 PM

Someone who gets into a ton of car accidents should definitely pay more in insurance than someone who doesn't. But someone shouldn't pay more in insurance just because they're a man. How is this hard to understand?

Women don't have body issues? When men make up 90% of anorexia and bulimia sufferers like women do today, you have no right to say "men are the ones with body issues!!!!1!1"

Women are already responsible for birth control. Men should be able to be adult enough to buy a pack of condoms.

I don't think you're understanding what's going on here. The OP originally asked if penises or vaginas are more likely to spread STD's. I said penises, because it's true. It doesn't matter where the penises get STD's from - the fact of the matter is that penises spread more STD's than vaginas.

You can't force a man to do something he doesn't want to do. If he doesn't want to eat you out or do the positions you want to get off, you can't make him, and you have no way of knowing beforehand if he's going to be shit in bed or not, and if he is, you're shit out of luck. Although, if I get into bed with a guy who doesn't want to go down on me, I put my clothes on and walk out/kick him out. I've done it before and I'll do it again.

Shouldn't sex be about mutual pleasure between two people?
/r/MensRights13/11/13 04:28 PM

No, I don't think I'm having a private conversation on an Internet forum. I'm saying if I'm having a discussion with someone, and you butt in to the conversation defending what he said, I'm going to assume you're agreeing with what he's saying. This shouldn't be confusing. This is common sense. I have no idea where "having the right to disagree with me" comes into play. I understand you're getting frustrated, but there's no need to make things up or use childish insults.

Here are your original quotes about women experiencing reproductive coercion. So >15% of women are mentally handicapped, so what? You can't really "spoof" birth control easily let alone safely, a condom requires a pin and that's it. You then lied and claimed you never said that. Now you're going back and saying you really did say that. So you believe that if women get pregnant, they should not be allowed to have an abortion, and they should be forced to pay for all pregnancy costs, while the man should not be obligated to pay for child support or for the pregnancy?
/r/MensRights30/10/13 04:31 PM
0

Just so we're clear here, we're talking about a situation in which abortion is illegal. Do you agree that if abortion is illegal, men should be legally obligated to pay for half of all pregnancy, childbirth, and maternity costs?
/r/MensRights30/10/13 03:49 PM
2

But you don't want to treat women equally. You just said that women who experience reproductive coercion are mentally handicapped, and that men who experience reproductive coercion are victims of a terrible crime.

Source that birth control is free at planned parenthood for everybody? And you basically just admitted that you're a misogynist. But this is not news for /r/mensrights. It's a misogynist sub full of "woman bad, man victim of evil woman!" mentalities.
/r/MensRights30/10/13 02:50 PM

But that doesn't negate the costs of pregnancy, pre natal care, childbirth, maternity clothing, and lost wages due to pregnancy.
/r/MensRights30/10/13 02:49 PM

Men can't say no to sex? Why not? Are they unable to act like adults and sleep for themselves? So women who get their birth control sabotaged are mentally handicapped, and men who get their birth control sabotaged are poor helpless victims? Sounds like someone is a misogynist. Yes, condoms are available for free at any Planned Parenthood. You seem to be ignoring the parts of my comments that prove you wrong, as if ignoring it makes you less wrong. And in the US, birth control is not subsidized.
/r/MensRights29/10/13 11:31 PM

So, I see you don't have any sources to back your claims up. That makes sense, because they're wrong. Second of all, condoms don't require the permission of the woman to use any more than birth control pills do. A man can say "I won't have sex with you if you are on birth control" just as easily as a woman can say "I won't have sex with you if you are wearing a condom." Birth control pills can also be sabotaged. In fact, 15% of women report this. Condoms actually are free at any Planned Parentho…

First of all, contraceptives fail. Second of all, I fail to see how this discussion is relevant, because regardless of whether or not contraceptives are used, you still think that men should be able to walk away from a pregnancy with no obligation to the child or even to the pregnancy, while women are forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the pregnancy. This is regardless of whether or not contraceptives are used. Why should a woman be punished for not using contraceptives, but men sho…

Where am I lying? You stated flat out that you don't think women should be allowed to get abortions but that men should be allowed to get financial abortions. You then stated flat out that even though women have no choice in whether or not they get pregnant, they should be required to shoulder all costs of a pregnancy, while men should be allowed to opt out of that. How is this a lie?

But you don't agree with that. You already stated that you think women should not be allowed to get abortions and that they should shoulder all costs for a pregnancy they did not choose to go through, while you think men should be allowed to get financial abortions and not pay for any of the pregnancy costs for the women they impregnate. How is this equality? If you can't have a reasonable discussion, that's one thing; I have come to expect no reasonable discussion from this subreddit. However, …

Another question - since you think abortion should be illegal, do you think men should be legally required to pay for half of all pregnancy and childbirth costs (prenatal care, childbirth, maternity clothing, lost wages due to being unable to work, etc.)? After all, if women don't have a choice in whether or not they go through with a pregnancy, the man and the woman should have equal responsibility in costs associated with that pregnancy.
/r/MensRights28/10/13 05:24 PM
0

Well, I got confused because the person I originally replied to was arguing that women shouldn't be allowed to get abortions, but men should be allowed to get financial abortions.
/r/MensRights28/10/13 05:20 PM
0

So you also believe that men should be allowed to get financial abortions, but women shouldn't be allowed to get abortions?
/r/MensRights28/10/13 05:00 PM

But men can't have children without a woman's permission because they're not the ones who get pregnant. So what you're saying is that women shouldn't be allowed to get abortions, but men should be allowed to get financial abortions. That's sexist.
/r/MensRights28/10/13 04:58 PM
4

But that's besides the point. The symptoms for panic attacks and heart attacks are strikingly similar. In fact, 25% of people who go to the ER because they think they're having a heart attack are actually having a panic attack. So far, I haven't been able to see anyone adequately explain how to differentiate between heart attack symptoms and panic attack symptoms, especially when panic attacks and heart attacks are both so common.

Interesting how out of the original post, you didn't decide to include any images of female soldiers facing hardships because that wouldn't fit in with your "woman privileged, man victim" narrative.
/r/MensRights23/10/13 06:05 PM

Sure do. Women are routinely charged more for the same health care coverage as men, and that's not even taking maternity care into account. http://www.nwlc.org/press-release/new-nwlc-report-discriminatory-health-insurance-practices-cost-women-1-billion-year
/r/MensRights14/10/13 11:07 PM

How do women get cheaper healthcare? Last time I checked, women pay billions more dollars in health care per year than men.
/r/MensRights14/10/13 05:03 PM
2

Not sure what you're talking about. In my source, women were 45.4% of residents in 2012, compared to 21.5% in 1980. In 2011, women earned 57.1% of all MD degrees, compared to 4.1% in 1940. This definitely seems to be significant progress. Even in the graph you sent me, more and more women are obtaining STEM degrees each year except for computer science.
/r/MensRights09/10/13 06:58 PM
3

It hasn't made a dent? I wouldn't say so. Women are making up a larger and larger percent of med students/residents and doctors than ever before. http://www.catalyst.org/knowledge/women-medicine
/r/MensRights09/10/13 02:32 PM

Now you're putting words in the author's mouth. She does not say anything about oral sex or long-term relationships with sleep-sex previously consented to. The quote is "Perhaps this is too much information but, for me, sex is my favorite way to wake up. Men have every right to believe that a woman sleeping in the bed next to them is going to be happily awoken. If you don’t want sex, don’t sleep in their fucking bed. We are not children here."
/r/MensRights07/10/13 08:10 PM
6

No, because that's consent. But that's clearly not what you or the author of the article were talking about, considering you're saying it's reasonable to assume consent with a person sleeping in bed with you who you've had sex with before.
/r/MensRights07/10/13 07:06 PM
6

Um, what? Consent is not "yes until otherwise stated." It is "no until otherwise stated." I have told my boyfriend that if he has sex with me while I'm sleeping, it's rape. Because it is. This does not make me have "mental issues." In fact, it's the law.
/r/MensRights07/10/13 05:28 PM
2

So just so we're clear here, you are stating that having sex with a person who is sleeping in your bed is not rape?
/r/MensRights07/10/13 02:39 PM
1

Um, yes? No person of either gender is entitled to their ex-spouse's stuff.
/r/MensRights30/09/13 02:31 PM
1

Why does it matter who is victim blaming? Why is everyone getting caught up on who is blaming the victim? Victim-blaming is wrong, no matter the gender.
/r/MensRights30/09/13 02:30 PM
3

I'm confused as to why you feel personally offended by this. Those stickers were gender neutral, so why do you feel like they were attacking men?
/r/MensRights28/09/13 10:01 PM
2

Tons of those posts are posted by men's rights regulars, and even if they weren't, they were still upvoted in this sub. MRA's definitely have a lot to say about hypergamy.
/r/MensRights16/09/13 02:29 PM
1

Where does hypergamy specify that one marries just for the money?
/r/MensRights16/09/13 01:41 AM
2

It's funny how you just admitted it's okay to call women prostitutes for not being sexually attracted to poor men, but it's not okay to call men racist for not being sexually attracted to black chicks.
/r/MensRights15/09/13 04:07 PM

But this sub does police women's choices. http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/search?q=Hypergamy+&sort=top&restrict_sr=on&t=all

Really, because this sub has a lot to say about women's sexual and relationship choices. http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/search?q=Hypergamy+&sort=top&restrict_sr=on&t=all

I don't really understand how MRA's can upvote this comic, but then decry the "hypergamous nature" of women. Seems like cognitive dissonance to me. And here the downvotes come without explanation. Can someone explain to me why it's okay to police women's sexual choices, but it's not okay to police men's?
/r/MensRights14/09/13 05:32 PM

First of all, no, the OP said that anytime there is three girls and 1 guy, the 1 guy is toast. That's not true, because in Vanuatu, there were 6 girls and 1 guy and the guy won. Second of all, you keep saying that as a general rule, girls team up and vote out the guys. Since you believe this, do you have any proof to back up this claim? Which seasons and alliances? Third of all, no, the women's tribe dominated the pre-merge challenges 5-3.
/r/MensRights02/09/13 02:46 PM
2

How is this misandry? Chelsea Manning is a woman.
/r/MensRights01/09/13 01:31 PM
2

Yes, because the women dominated in the pre-merge challenges, meaning that there would be more women and less men at the merge. That doesn't change the fact that the person who said "if there are 3 women and 1 man, the one man will always get voted out" was wrong. It also doesn't explain what's wrong with the strategy of women voting out men.
/r/MensRights01/09/13 01:29 PM
1

First of all, what seasons are these? Second of all, men have done the exact same thing. Third of all, what's wrong with that? Backstabbing is part of Survivor. In fact, if you are in an alliance of more than three people, it is literally impossible to not backstab them to get to the end.
/r/MensRights01/09/13 01:23 PM
-2

So women being denied access to abortion is equality, and abortion is inequality?
/r/MensRights31/08/13 11:11 PM
1

First of all, unless I'm forgetting one, only in two out of 26 seasons (Micronesia and One World) has an all-female alliance made it to the final 4. Care to explain this "pattern" you keep seeing where women continually form all-women alliances, vote out all the men, and make it to the end? Which seasons, other than the ones I mentioned, form this "pattern" you speak of? Second of all, even if women do form alliances, how is this a problem? Men also form all-men alliances. Minorities sometimes t…
/r/MensRights31/08/13 09:42 PM

I did give an example. The entire season of Survivor Vanuatu. Final 7 was 6 women and 1 men. The women self destructed their all female alliance, and the lone man ended up winning. This is literally the exact opposite of what the person I was responding to originally said. My post, while factually accurate, was down voted because it doesn't fit the anti-woman narrative around here.
/r/MensRights31/08/13 06:32 PM
-1

Wait, how is abortion inequality between the sexes? Are you saying men should have a legal say in abortion?
/r/MensRights31/08/13 06:29 PM
-11

You've clearly never seen Survivor Vanuatu if you honestly believe that to be the case. And, surprise surprise, down voted to -7 by people who haven't actually seen Survivor but want to buy into the "girls always stick together and vote out guys, while guys never do the same" narrative. No explanation for the down votes, zero replies to my comment, just down votes by people who want to shit on women for absolutely no reason. That's men's rights for you. Feels over facts.
/r/MensRights31/08/13 03:07 AM

Anytime unwanted sexual touching occurs, it is sexual assault. Legally, it is. You can't touch another person's body without consent and say it's not sexual assault.
/r/MensRights27/08/13 12:50 AM
2

If you feel violated by them and want to press charges, you certainly should, because it is most certainly sexual assault. If you don't have a problem with it, then don't do anything about it. This isn't hard to understand.
/r/MensRights25/08/13 06:09 PM
9

Really? What stats claim that all women in the military are or have been brutally raped? Just because getting your butt grabbed isn't as bad as rape doesn't mean it's not sexual assault.
/r/MensRights24/08/13 11:43 PM

I hope you are a troll.

So you're saying you would be happy with such a girlfriend?
/r/MensRights06/08/13 04:30 PM

So would you be satisfied with a girlfriend who never gave you blow jobs (even though you ate her out 3 times a day), never made you orgasm (even though she came every time), and refused to do any position other than you on top?
/r/MensRights06/08/13 04:25 PM
1

Um, if you haven't been following my posts, I have said probably 5-10 times now that she should not force him to give her head, and that she should break up with him. Where are you getting this other information from to make you think I've said otherwise?
/r/MensRights31/07/13 12:04 PM
1

No, you yourself said "I'm not saying he's not a douche," and now you're going back and saying "you have no right to call him a douche!" Sorry buddy, but there is no reason here for you to defend this guy, and it's hypocritical for you to say "There's two sides to every story!" in this situation while not saying the same thing on the multitude of /r/mensrights threads that talk about women being shitty.
/r/MensRights30/07/13 12:08 PM
1

At this point, I can't tell if you're a troll or actually serious. You're going back and forth between "I'm not saying he's not a selfish douche!" and "You have no right to call him a selfish douche!" You're also being willfully ignorant by ignoring the parts of the post you don't like. This conversation is getting pretty childish at this point on your end.
/r/MensRights29/07/13 07:39 PM

As I have told you time and time again, I am not suggesting that OP forces oral sex on her boyfriend. I am suggesting she break up with him. Because he is, in fact, a selfish douche.

So would you be happy with a girlfriend who never gave you head (even though you give her head and get her off 3 times a day), never got you off, and refused to do any position other than missionary?

This is not a freaking court of law. It's reddit. We're not convicting someone of murder here. Personally, I don't think there is any "other side of the story" here. There's literally no excuse to put zero effort into making your partner cum. No excuse at all. There's no reason for him to refuse to do any position other than him lying there and her doing all the work. At worst, he's a selfish douche. At best, he has absolutely no idea how sex works, doesn't understand that sex should be about mu…

As I've said multiple times in this thread, it is not okay to force someone into giving you oral. I never said that. All you've done is linked to various comments in the thread. You don't know what the original post said and you don't know what the deleted comment said (you definitely don't know what the deleted comment said, because you thought OP wrote the deleted comment, when she didn't). All you're saying is that OP's boyfriend is not selfish, even though you have no idea if he's being self…
/r/MensRights27/07/13 06:34 PM
1

You didn't read the post. You don't know what's going on. First of all, if you had read the post, you would know that the quote in the title of the thread is a) from a commenter, not the OP as you claim, and b) is literally not a direct quote. The OP of this thread put it in quotes, but that's not what the post said. It's a direct lie.
/r/MensRights27/07/13 05:41 PM
1

So you're admitting you have absolutely no idea what the original post said, and you're making judgment calls on it? FYI the OP never said she forced her boyfriend to do sexual favors against her will. But I guess you can keep reading this sub's biased version of what happened.
/r/MensRights27/07/13 04:36 PM
1

So did you read the thread or no? How can you make a judgment call on whether or not he's being selfish if you didn't read the thread?
/r/MensRights27/07/13 01:48 PM
1

Nope.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 06:50 PM
1

It doesn't justify forcing him to give head. I don't know why you think I'm justifying it, especially since I explicitly stated that I don't believe he should be forced into giving head. I was responding to the person who said the guy wasn't being selfish. The guy was being extremely selfish, if you read the OP.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 03:19 PM
1

Well, that's your prerogative. I personally don't believe that anyone should be able to force medical procedures on rapists, whether it's an abortion or a vasectomy. Rapists still have bodily autonomy. There's a reason we don't force other medical procedures on rapists that would actually benefit the public, such as kidney transplants, etc.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 03:18 PM
1

No, it is her body. How can you say that removal of a fetus from a woman's body does not affect the woman's body in any way, shape, or form? If a woman dies from abortion, how was it not her body that's being affected? Second of all, why aren't you applying this same logic to all cases of abortion? "If she didn't want to get pregnant, she shouldn't've had sex"? Third of all, spermjacking is a terrible thing, but that doesn't mean you can go forcing abortions on women who spermjack. Just as you c…
/r/MensRights26/07/13 03:15 PM
1

Yeah, except it's her body. By that logic, women who spermjack men should be forced to have abortions as well.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 01:54 PM
0

I thought MRAs were about equality though? Equal rights, equal lefts. If you think men should be allowed to force medical procedures on their female rapists, I'm curious as to why you don't think it should be allowed with the genders reversed as well.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 01:23 PM
1

So you genuinely believe that female rapists should be forced to have abortions and male rapists should be forced to have vasectomies?
/r/MensRights26/07/13 01:12 PM
0

Why not? In both cases, someone is being forced into a medical procedure they don't want. What medical procedures should we be allowed to force on male rapists in the name of equality?
/r/MensRights26/07/13 12:57 PM
10

I did not say that he needs to "man the fuck up." I did not say she needs to "brow beat" him into performing oral. I'm saying she needs to break up with him because he's a selfish ass. He is not obligated to perform oral sex on her, just as she is not obligated to stay with a guy who obviously doesn't give a shit whether she's sexually satisfied or not.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 12:55 PM
5

If you actually read the post, you would realize her boyfriend is very very selfish. She needs to get out of that toxic relationship now. Personally, I would never in a million years date a man that doesn't give head.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 12:00 PM
0

So, why do female rapists lose the right to bodily autonomy but male rapists do not? Since you think men should be allowed to force certain medical procedures onto women, what kinds of medical procedures should women be allowed to force onto men?
/r/MensRights26/07/13 11:47 AM
0

So why do only male rapists get the right to bodily autonomy? Why do female rapists get this right taken away? What sorts of medical surgeries should we be able to force on male rapists? Equality works both ways. If you think that men should be allowed to force medical procedures on women, then women should be allowed to force medical procedures on men.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 11:46 AM
1

What?
/r/MensRights26/07/13 11:44 AM
1

Why are you getting into this? No rape victim should be forced to see their rapist regularly because the rapist has custody of their kid. That's ridiculous.
/r/MensRights26/07/13 11:43 AM
-6

Should a female rape victim be allowed to cut her rapist's penis off?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 09:59 PM
3

I don't think a parent is able to take care of their kids if they're a rapist. If a woman gets raped and has a kid, her rapist should not get half custody of the child. If a man gets raped and his rapist has a kid, his rapist should not get half custody of the child. That's messed up.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 09:37 PM
2

So are you saying you should be able to force your rapist to get an abortion?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 09:36 PM
2

Well, yeah, if a woman rapes a man and has a kid from it, he should get custody, but he should not be able to force her to get an abortion or prevent her from having one.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 07:02 PM
1

True, they may affect him, but what kind of legal "things" are you suggesting?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 04:03 PM
0

I'm not sure what you're getting at. Yes, a rapist should be allowed control over their own body. Whether they "benefit" from it or not is irrelevant. Second of all, this is not the same as stealing a baby and then sewing it to your body. Do you seriously think these two things are comparable? Getting an abortion vs. sewing a baby to your body?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 03:20 PM

You are wrong in saying that no one has any right to force medical procedures on people Who is allowed to force medical procedures on anyone? and I think that at least there should be a more proper channel for the father to express his desires Such as? than the mother simply choosing to side with or against him. It's not about the mother choosing to side with or against him. It's about the woman's right to do what she wants with her body. Contrary to your belief, most women don't get abortions j…
/r/MensRights25/07/13 03:16 PM
6

Um, yes? Why would I agree with that?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 03:13 PM
-1

Well, it is her body. No one has the right to force medical procedures on anybody, and abortion is no different. So are you arguing that men should be able to veto abortions or no?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 02:50 PM
2

Yes. A rapist still has the right to bodily sovereignty, just like every other human being.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 02:49 PM
0

So are you stating that men should have a legal right to veto abortion, or what exactly are you getting at?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 02:26 PM
4

Because it's her body.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 02:02 PM
2

Got a source to back that second statement up?
/r/MensRights25/07/13 01:55 PM
2

Yeah, but your original post seems to be talking about abortion only, not parental surrender.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 01:54 PM

And it should not be. Abortion is a woman's choice and should legally be 100% her decision.
/r/MensRights25/07/13 01:30 PM
3

Careful, buddy, this was how you got banned last time.
/r/MensRights15/07/13 07:31 PM
1

Where does that say women cheat more than men?
/r/MensRights11/07/13 06:58 PM
2

Source?
/r/MensRights11/07/13 12:25 PM
5

And how do you plan to prevent that from happening?
/r/MensRights26/06/13 12:07 PM
0

So you think that a rapist can be jailed if their rape victim is drunk, but not based on the testimony of that rape victim? Second of all, why are you bringing feminism into this? Who here is arguing that all people with cocks are rapists?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 06:03 PM
1

I'm concerned that you're saying that this rape did not occur in a dark alleyway with a stranger. Is that the only kind of rape that's "real" rape? Rape can't happen between two people who are drunk, or two people who know each other, or consent cannot be withdrawn during the act? Second of all, do you believe a rapist can be absolved of all crimes by apologizing after a rape?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:58 PM
1

Where in the original post does it say he didn't hear her? Your analogy only makes sense if that's the case.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:43 PM
1

Where does it say she whispered it? Please, point this out to me.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:41 PM
0

So then what's the problem with this health care issue? It's one step in the right direction. If you believe men should be paying the same amount for car insurance as women, why aren't you trying to change it? Why are you instead complaining that women and men pay the same amount for health insurance?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:39 PM
1

You think it's unreasonable to expect your partner to know what you mean when you say "stop"?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:37 PM
1

It goes both ways. No where here am I defending female rapists.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:35 PM
1

First of all, where do I hate conservatives? Second of all, how do you know the man who was convicted (if this is not a troll) had no malice? Apologizing after a rape doesn't mean you're not a rapist. If that were the case, anyone could get away with rape just by saying "Sorry about that" afterwards.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:30 PM
1

Well, fine, I can play your game too, if you want. You think I'm lying about not being a feminist? I think you're lying about not being a misogynist. See, two people can play the false accusation game.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:28 PM
1

Where is this supposed "hard science" that supports your claim that every drunk person can't tell the difference between ten seconds and one minute?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:27 PM
1

Where? I don't see any comment where I've thrown a childish insult at you. Can you point any of these comments out?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:26 PM
1

Where does science say that every drunk person cannot tell the difference between five seconds and one minute?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:25 PM
1

Science? Like what? "I think that she is wrong because she was drunk" is not science.
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:24 PM
0

First of all, what "presumption of innocence"? The rapist in question was already proven guilty. Second of all, you still haven't answered my question: Do you believe no person should ever be convicted of rape if their victim was drunk?
/r/MensRights23/05/13 05:23 PM
0

And you're making blatant assumptions with literally no basis.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:56 PM
0

I have been drunk more times in my life than I could ever count. I have had sex borderline blacked out many a time before. It does not take a full minute to decipher that someone is saying "stop" during sex. Ever.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:56 PM
0

Where did I reply to you with childish and petty insults?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:55 PM
0

As I've said before in this thread, unless you are literally brain-damaged, there is no way it could ever take up to a minute to decipher something. I have been drunk many a time before, blacked out many a time before, and there is no way it takes a whole minute to decipher a single word during sex. Especially if the person is distressed.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:54 PM
0

Why are you assuming that she didn't say "stop" or didn't say it loud enough? Clearly, if the story is true, the courts found the man guilty. How do you know he didn't confess that he heard her but didn't think he had to stop? Also, are you implying that rapists never apologize to their victims after? If I rape you and then say "lol sry about that," am I absolved of all responsibility and unable to be touched by the law for rape?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:51 PM
1

And in each of the cases mentioned with your girlfriend, I'm assuming you stopped each time to let her adjust/take her birth control/etc., right? So why shouldn't this man have stopped when the woman told him to?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:48 PM
1

So what is your suggestion? Making both unequal, or making both equal?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:47 PM
0

I posted that quote to show that she said stop multiple times.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:45 PM
2

Or he pled guilty, which is a possibility that no one is considering for some reason.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:44 PM
0

So you think a sentence of 4 years is too long for someone who literally committed rape?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:43 PM
2

Okay? I'm not really sure what your argument is here? I could toss around false accusations about you too if I wanted to, but I thought MRAs were against that?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:42 PM
1

So just to confirm this, you truly believe that if a rape victim is drunk, their rapist should never be jailed?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:41 PM
6

I mean, any rapist could use that excuse. "I didn't know she didn't want it, even though she told me to stop!"
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:40 PM
1

So can no drunk person ever be a rape victim? After all, if they just have a "lapse in memory" and only thought they said "no," can any drunk person be a victim of rape, by your logic?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:39 PM
2

But I thought MRAs were of the belief that drunk sex is not rape?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:32 PM
1

So you're saying we shouldn't teach people that "stop" means "stop" when it comes to consent. That's a pretty fucked up way of thinking, but it does seem typical that this is coming from an MRA.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:23 PM
0

And how do you know this? It's just a fact she wasn't raped because she was drunk?
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:18 PM
0

Even when hammered, it doesn't take you an entire minute to process a word. Unless you're so drunk you're unconscious or have alcohol poisoning, which this guy clearly didn't have.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:17 PM

What a well-thought-out, intelligent argument!

How is it an utterly unrealistic attitude towards sex to think "stop" means "stop"? Second of all, the courts clearly thought it was sexual assault, or else he wouldn't be in jail. They clearly didn't think it was a misdemeanor.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:16 PM
1

I think his four year sentence is great. Anyway, why are you calling it a drunken misunderstanding? Clearly, the court thought it was rape as well. Because that's what it is: rape.
/r/MensRights21/05/13 05:12 PM
-1

So maybe we should reach people about consent and what rape is. You're arguing that people who say "stop" during sex don't really mean it and that "stop" is not an indicator of nonconsent, when it obviously is. You say people don't expect you to say "stop" during sex, therefore rape is all just a big miscommunication. Easy solution: teach people that continuing to have sex with someone when they have said "stop" is rape. Because it is.

She apparently only "thought" she said no because she was under the influence of alcohol. In other words, you think she literally hallucinated saying "stop." This is a joke.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 08:21 PM
-3

So I'm confused as to why you're bringing this up - if a rape victim is drunk, should their rapist never be jailed because the victim could be making it all up because they "incorrectly" remembered the event due to alcohol?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 08:19 PM
2

Like I just told you, I'm not a feminist, so you can stop with the false accusations. Second of all, evo psych is not a hard science, and the suggestion that it is is absolutely laughable. Hard sciences have hypotheses that you can test and prove. This is not possible with evo psych.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 08:18 PM

First of all, I am not a feminist, so you can stop with your false accusations. Second of all, how is saying "stop" not an indicator of nonconsent? Seriously?

/r/MensRights20/05/13 08:11 PM

Do you think that he deserves this fate? If so, what is your adequate punishment for a real rapist(has sex with you without you ever want it, cums inside you and some time people get pregnant? This is what you said. Sorry, but only people with uteruses get pregnant. This is not hard to realize.

So basically, "no" and "stop" are not enough when it comes to establishing consent. You have to literally be crying for it to be rape? What the fuck?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:45 PM

He was clearly informed as soon as she said "stop," but he kept going anyway.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:44 PM

/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:37 PM

/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:35 PM

I wasn't into it from the start, and about 5 minutes in I ask him to stop. He didn't. This went on for about a minute until I started crying and freaking out. Does that make it any easier?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:34 PM
-6

Okay, sure, he stopped at the first visible sign, but not the first verbal sign. So that's still rape, is it not?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:25 PM
-8

Okay, so now, saying "stop" doesn't count as rape. What else doesn't count as rape? "No" doesn't count as rape?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:20 PM
-9

Wait, so you think you need a visible sign of distress, not just verbal? Telling someone "stop" isn't enough? "No" doesn't really mean "no"?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:19 PM
-7

No, he didn't stop at the first visible sign of distress. He kept going when she told him to stop.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:10 PM
-6

See, this is the problem. People don't know what rape is. If someone tells you to stop and you don't, it's rape. If someone tells you to stop multiple times and you don't, it's rape. In the scenario you provided in the beginning of your post, you genuinely believe that if someone tells you to stop multiple times, and you're aware that they're telling you to stop, and you don't stop, it isn't rape. What the fuck?
/r/MensRights20/05/13 06:02 PM

"Nonconsensual sex" is rape. The OP for this thread admits that the girl was raped, but for some reason is expressing upset that her rapist is jailed.

I wasn't into it from the start, and about 5 minutes in I ask him to stop. He didn't. This went on for about a minute until I started crying and freaking out.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 05:58 PM
-16

The way the post reads makes it clear that "this" refers to the cycle of her asking him to stop and him not stopping, not just him having sex. That being said, how is "stop" not a solid indicator of distress? Do you have to fuck a woman until she starts crying for it to be rape? No. "Stop" means "stop." Rape is rape whether it lasts one minute or ten.
/r/MensRights20/05/13 05:54 PM
-7

So, one minute is somehow not enough time to stop when your partner tells you to stop multiple times? You literally have to keep fucking her until she starts crying for it to be rape? How does that make any sense?

/r/MensRights20/05/13 05:14 PM

But she said she told him to stop several times and he didn't. He only stopped when she started crying. The OP in this thread even admitted it was rape but for some reason assumes the rapist should go unpunished.

I have heard of many a story where a man has taken off the condom during the act and the woman was completely unaware of it. It's difficult to actually see if a condom is on during the act from a woman's perspective.

Then why do so many MRAs advocate financial abortion? Also, "it's just simple logic" is not proof. I am looking for proof that most children who are fatherless are so because the mother kicks the father out of their life, rather than the father doesn't want to be in their life, as the person I was responding to originally claimed.

The fact that the internal erectile parts of the clitoris may start to externalize in FTM (without a visible glans penis) is not relevant to the fact that these structures started internal in women. I am a woman and I've done this multiple times. Nothing external "swells". It most definitely does. Not to the extent that a male's penis does, obviously, but there is certainly some swelling. This is further supported by my point about FTM transgendered persons, which I noticed you conveniently ignored. In utero all fetuses start with a genital tubercle. Yes, if you are threatened by the fact that I have a career and make good money, and don't want to be dependent on a man, then you are insecure. I would say cock and dick are more analogous to pussy. "Cunt" is a word generally considered as bad or worse than "fuck."

I definitely disagree. I have seen many a comment downvoted for expressing a legitimate opinion that does not fall in line with the men's rights agenda.

False equivalency. "Vagina" is the counterpart to "penis," not "cunt," which has no male counterpart.

Synacson is the only one arguing for a right to force abortions The only one? The number of upvotes on his posts and downvotes on my posts say differently. The main point of debate is instead on what form the decision should take: Well that is most certainly not being argued right now. What is being argued right now is these people who think it is okay to force abortions on women.

I mean, cloning tissue that's already dead is quite a bit different than forcing a medical procedure on a woman.

How is it "stealing" if a man willingly gives his DNA to another woman through sex? She didn't "steal" his baby. He willingly gave it over. That's not "theft." Also, please point out where I advocated child support in my posts. Sounds like somebody's making up straw man arguments.

His DNA, his consent Her DNA, her consent His DNA, her DNA, and her body. Sorry, but the women's decisions always override the men's decisions in the case of abortion. Without both consenting, you're just legitimizing a form of theft. But you just said you think one person should be allowed to force abortions on the other without "both consenting." Are you suggesting that women have children without their sexual partner's consent and placing them under child support where their partner is forced to lose money for a child they did not consent to? I am confused. Where did I suggest that idea? Looks like someone's making up some strawman arguments. Are you suggesting that women have children without their sexual partner's consent despite it being half their DNA? I see nothing wrong with that. Her body, her choice.

First of all, I'm pretty sure we don't have the technology to non-invasively extract fetuses from a womb, fully intact, and then cryogenically freeze the fetus for later implantation. Second of all, that would be great if it were available as an option, but in no way should it be forced upon a woman who doesn't want to give birth. Just as how it's unethical to force abortions or childbirth upon a woman, it's also unethical to force fetal extraction upon a woman as well. Her body, her choice.

It's always been this way. I saw this documentary maybe 8 years ago. Nothing has changed. Most pharmacists aren't against birth control, so most pharmacists will fill your prescription. That doesn't mean they don't have the right to refuse to do so at any time, however. Also, I live in the north, so I can't speak for the poor souls who happen to live in the Bible Belt.
/r/MensRights22/01/13 02:01 PM

Yep. Any pharmacist can refuse any sort of medication based on religious or personal beliefs, including daily birth control. Saw on TV once a couple of years ago a documentary about this unfortunate problem. They interviewed a pharmacist who refuses to fill birth control prescriptions. He literally said that birth control poisons (yes, "poisons" was the word he used) a woman's body into not being able to get pregnant. People actually believe this shit and get away with it, and it's all perfectly…
/r/MensRights22/01/13 03:08 AM

That's actually very untrue. All pharmacists have the right to refuse access to birth control and the morning after pill. If you need the morning after pill and your pharmacist doesn't like that, they can most certainly refuse to give it to you and you're SOL.

It depends on the context. The word "misogyny" is grossly over-used in contemporary society and pretty much means anything feminists dislike. The word "misandry" (which autocorrect is even attempting to correct me on right now) is unknown to most people. The feminists I'm talking about literally believe that "misandry" doesn't exist, at all. They believe that "misandry" is not real, because any sexism towards men isn't sexism since it's "attacking the oppressor". Let's not compare this to somebo…

You conceded there is a way for a women to consent to sex with her behaviour despite what she may say. Really? Where did I say that? No, seriously, quote me. As I said and as you just agreed to again, no doesnt necessarily mean no. You do know what necessarily means, right? Yes, I do. Interesting how if someone like Anita Sarkeesiam or Jessica Valenti referred to themselves as "misandrists," there would be a huge uproar in the MRA community. "Sure, in that situation, yes. But it is not appropriate to apply that to every situation in which a woman says "no" ".... This means you concede there is a way for a women to show consent to sex with her behavior alone. No, I said that a woman who is saying no while actively sucking your cock/riding you is send…
/r/MensRights07/01/13 05:34 PM

Paul Elam is a misogynist. Source: Paul Elam's YouTube username is TheHappyMisogynist. You are truly an idiot if you claim to be an MRA and not even know that one of the most prominent MRA figureheads openly labels himself as a misogynist.
/r/MensRights07/01/13 03:03 PM

If there is violence and force involved where the women has made it clear she really isnt interested, then its rape. I gave a more obvious scenario simply to show the claim that "no always means no" or another variation "if she doesnt say yes, she didnt consent", is simply wrong. You accepted above that I was correct. To concede I was correct means that there are things a women can do to show she really does want sex, even if she says no(, or doesnt say yes). Actually, "no" does always mean "no.…

If a women says she doesnt want sex, but proceeds to give me oral sex, get naked and climb on top of me, thats sending mixed messages Sure, in that situation, yes. But it is not appropriate to apply that to every situation in which a woman says "no" but appears aroused, as Warren Farrell said. That's how rape happens. That's what I'm saying. The reason why the male pill isn't out yet is because of a variety of reasons - 1) biology, like you said, with 1 egg vs. millions of sperm; 2) lack of long-term research, because they can't just shove a pill out there that will kill you because the contraceptives that are out haven't been out long enough to be researched; 3) lack of profitability, because companies are going to profit far more off of an expensive pill taken every month than an inexpensive shot taken ever…

Legal discrimination is when you have less rights than other people, not when everyone is equally screwed, but you happen to be a woman. So you're saying that discrimination against women being legal is not legal discrimination? That makes no sense. It was completely and totally legal for employers to discriminate against women. sees the absence of modern privileges as "discrimination" I assume you're talking about abortion. Is there a way Reddit can track how many people read the article? No? So you're making up statistics to suit your needs? Conveniently, Reddit has a system with "upvoting" and "downvoting" - you can see in the upper right corner of the article that out of those who read the article, 69% (or 125 out of 179) upvoted the article.

I'm just saying, if MRA's disagreed with the article so much, they'd downvote it, but they didn't. The vast majority of MRA's who read the article upvoted it. That's a problem.

Except that husbands aren't allowed to be angry about that or they're "abusive". That's the whole fucking point here. Really? Do you know anyone, like literally anyone, who thinks a guy is abusive because he doesn't want his wife to buy a car without consulting him first? I honestly don't know a single person who would say that. Not a single one. Women think that they should get everything they want and that their husbands shouldn't get to do anything without begging permission first. Really? Al…

Agreed. Same with women. Going down on a woman while she is asleep or stroking her clitoris while she's asleep is rape.

Well no duh. We live in the real world, not the fantasy world of the commercial. We know buying a car without consulting your wife is a bad idea. But if we're going to remain fixed on the real world we live in, and not the fantasy land the commercial exists in, I find it very strange you're so set on having us admit the men made bad decisions in the commercial, yet you completely ignore the even worse decision the wives made in response: DOMESTIC ABUSE. I really don't know what's going on in you…

/r/MensRights12/12/12 06:19 AM

/r/MensRights12/12/12 06:19 AM

I don't see your point. Even if it is a metaphor, plenty of people in this thread agree that it's okay to buy a car without consulting your wife. Which is what I was originally responding to in the first place. You know, the people in this thread... not the commercial.
/r/MensRights10/12/12 03:55 PM

That still doesn't change the fact that hundreds of people in /r/MensRights did, in fact, agree that a rapist is not to blame for raping if he or she was abused. If people really disagreed with the article, they'd downvote it to hell, not upvote it to a net positive 68 votes.
/r/MensRights10/12/12 03:53 PM

Did you actually watch the commercial? They were upset about the price. That's not being "incapable of understanding his desire for freedom." It's them being angry because the man made a bad decision. Seriously, did you even watch this commercial?
/r/MensRights09/12/12 10:30 PM

The cultural phenomenon where some men feel trapped in unhappy marriages with little control. Consulting their wife isn't about having a discussion where pros and cons are considered, but asking her permission to do something, like a child might ask their mother. The commercial is trying to capitalize on this feeling, then use it to sell a car. This is not even a gender issue. If a wife did the same thing, it would still be wrong. Consulting your partner should be about having a discussion where…
/r/MensRights09/12/12 05:08 PM

How do we know there was no consultation? It's pretty obvious from the reactions of the wives - "What is this?" "Look at that price!" that the car was bought without consultation. At what point does consulting your spouse turn into getting permission from your spouse? If you have to get permission from your spouse, is your marriage really equal? Would you want freedom? What are you talking about? Do you understand how marriage works? In the vast majority of marriages, couples have shared bank ac…
/r/MensRights09/12/12 01:26 AM

It doesn't. I was responding to the people in the thread who see no problem with buying a car without consulting your spouse first.
/r/MensRights09/12/12 01:20 AM

Most married people don't have "their own money." They have shared bank accounts. And even then, if you're trying to save for more important things like your kids' college education, and your spouse goes and drops thousands of dollars on a new car without telling you, that's going to lead to a whole slew of marital problems.
/r/MensRights08/12/12 09:17 PM

To say he was targeting feminists and not women is absurd. He literally ordered male engineering students to leave the room so he could kill the female ones. To him, the definition of a feminist was a woman who was doing a "man's" job. "Lépine then separated the nine women from the approximately fifty men and ordered the men to leave. Speaking in French, he asked the remaining women whether they knew why they were there, and when one student replied "no," he answered: "I am fighting feminism". O…

No, that's abstinence education, not sex education; the key is in their titles. In many cases, it's not. People learn about sex without learning about condoms and birth control. And you still haven't shown me any source that shows that learning about the clitoris is "standard" in sex education. One of them was in porn (by choice); like I said, stop projecting. Being in porn doesn't mean you're experienced with your body. Many women in porn have never masturbated at all and/or have never had an o…

Are you conflating sex education with abstinence classes? Probably. Some sex education is essentially an abstinence class. Especially in the south. That one. An interpretation of the data: Giving the data another go, he finds that 86 percent of women who had anal also had vaginal sex, 72 percent also received oral sex, and 31 percent also had partnered masturbation. I agree that most people should try to explore their bodies to the fullest, but my comment was mostly referring to people who try to tell people who can't have vaginal orgasms that they actually can, or people who try to tell people who do have vaginal orgasms that they actually can't.
/r/MensRights04/12/12 12:37 AM

I'm not sure. I've been masturbating for almost a decade now, and there is no way I can come from vaginal stimulation without additional stimulation of the clitoris. I can bring myself up to literally a millisecond before orgasm by touching my clitoris, but if I stop touching it and stimulate myself vaginally instead, I won't orgasm. That article was interesting, but definitely missed the mark. There are women who have vaginal orgasms and there are women who don't. The article was stating that a…

This is very age and location dependent, the clitoris is now standard information, it simply may not have been when you were in school. Source that learning about the clitoris is now standard information in sex ed? Considering that condoms and birth control aren't even standard information in sex ed, I doubt the clitoris is. So, you basically completely ignored the point, while proving it to be correct. Researchers asked a bunch of women whether or not they had orgasms during their last encounte…
/r/MensRights03/12/12 03:30 PM

I do tell them, but the problem is, they're shocked to hear it. The thing is, most men and women just aren't taught about the importance of the clitoris. Most guys I know (and have slept with) expect women to orgasm from sex and don't understand when they don't. Stressing the importance of the clitoris would be beneficial for both genders - women, because it will help them have more orgasms, and men, because they won't feel inadequate when their partners don't orgasm from just their penis. The s…

Really? I disagree with this. I was never taught about my clitoris in sexual education, and neither was anyone I know; many women and men don't even know what it is! It creates higher entrance qualifications for men because their ability to meet those entrance qualifications is not equal because of direct discrimination. It kind of does, actually. Women get financial assistance that men do not, thus allowing them greater security and time for schooling. Right, but that is not what we're talking about in this thread. First of all, that may be true in some schools, but is it true in most schools or all schools? Like I said, I'm looking for evidence that this happens systematically among most universities. Entrance qualifications for my major were pretty much an average GPA of 3.0 or above for your pre-major classes (known as your SPHR GPA), regardless of gender. Hyperbole, learn to recognize it. Hyperbole? If someone said the same thing about men - "men are the sex driving the decimation of everything" - you would be crying misandry, but because the article said women are the decimation of everything, it's a "hyperbole." /r/MensRights01/12/12 05:06 PM

I didn't say that women are not a limiting factor in childbirth. What? Where are you getting this and why are you putting words in my mouth? And the poster I was replying to's original claim was that women's biology is the cause of environmental degradation.

Calling me feeble and unintelligent isn't going to change the fact that you have no sources to back up your claims.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 09:10 PM

That doesn't mean that women are the biggest limiting factor in population growth. Also, it is not accurate to say that women's biology is the cause of environmental degradation.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 05:50 PM

If you're going to make such claims then you really should provide a direct quotation if you want anyone to take you seriously. Sure thing. The sex driving the world’s ridiculous over consumption, and therefore decimation of everything, is not men. In fact, women’s level of over consumption is so outrageous that they cannot even maintain it with their own resources.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 05:40 PM

That doesn't mean that women are the cause of environmental degradation or population. Also, I'd like to see a source that states that women are the biggest limiting factors in population growth.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 05:29 PM

Sure, but the article literally said that women will cause the decimation of everything. Besides, while women are larger consumers, I expect a lot of it is spent on the family - groceries, clothes shopping, Christmas/birthday shopping, etc.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 05:18 PM

Wait, so you blame women for population growth? How is that possible? For every child conceived, there is a mother and a father. Also, it's somewhat silly to blame women for the "decimation of everything," which is what this article did.

Who ever said that it was the fault of men? No one is blaming men for this. Yes, women can choose to wear slutty Halloween costumes, and I have no problem with this. However, there should be more options for women who don't want to dress in revealing clothing. You know there's a problem when only ~5% of Halloween costumes for women actually cover the majority of your body.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 01:34 PM

Like I've said before, this is not necessarily true. Feminism states that women should be able to dress how they want, whether "slutty" or modest, and not be judged for it.

Sure, in every country, people may not favor birth control, but plenty of third-world countries do. For instance, Nigeria's president understands that poverty is out of control with poor families having far too many children that they can support, and highly supports birth control.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 01:29 PM

That's not necessarily true. Feminism claims that women should be able to dress how they want, which includes both revealing clothing and modest clothing.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 01:22 PM

There are plenty of women who want costumes that aren't revealing. Women who don't have the time or skill to make their own costumes should have the option to purchase costumes that aren't overly revealing.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 02:12 AM

I agree, but I also think that there should be at least a decent number of wholesale non-revealing costumes for women who don't have the time or the skills to make their own costume.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 02:07 AM

That definitely didn't really pertain to what I was saying.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 02:06 AM

I haven't really seen that. Local costume stores are a lot different because they tend to get costumes from different places than chain stores, which are more widespread. If you look on any Halloween website, about 90-95% of women's Halloween costumes are pretty revealing. If you know of any sites that have even like 50% non-revealing costumes or more, I'd like to see them for personal use.
/r/MensRights15/11/12 02:05 AM

I think you are making an emotional appeal and disguising it as a "right". This is not an emotional appeal. It's fact. Pregnancy and childbirth is factually the number one killer of teenage girls. If you think this is emotional, fine - that doesn't make it any less true. We are not talking about a freedom of speech, religion, etc. You are talking about free handouts, from the government, from our tax dollars, transferring wealth to others. Once again, no one here has said that "right to have acc…

There are plenty of women who do not want to buy revealing Halloween costumes. The fact of the matter is that non-revealing Halloween costumes for women literally either do not exist, or are 5% of the selection. Seriously, show me a website where even 50% of the Halloween costumes for women are "normal." You won't be able to find one.

Yes thats right. It is sort of like talking about any medicine to treat a disease except in this case the disease is being born female. An illness is an abnormality, an aberration from wellness. What does it say when all women by virtue of their very design (there is nothing wrong with them except they are female and have female parts) must have medicine by right of law in order to be well? Except, no one has ever stated that? These are completely strawman arguments. I do not disagree with any o…

We're talking about fundamentally altering a human biological process, effectively tricking it through hormones gleaned from horse urine (not all contraceptives are like this, just birth control pills which is the most common)...what makes any of that a RIGHT? Wouldnt it be more of a right NOT to trick a biological process? You could say that about literally any medicine. All medicine alters the human body in ways that nature did not intend. For women in third-world countries, this is literally a matter of life and death for them, and indirectly, their already-born children. The right to life should be a right, not a privilege.
/r/MensRights14/11/12 07:25 PM

Providing contraception to women, especially in poor countries, is extremely important for women's health. Pregnancy and childbirth is the number-1 killer of 15-19 year old girls. The dangers that pregnancy and childbirth complications cause women can have devastating consequences; even if they don't die during childbirth, they can get fistulas - a hole in the vagina that causes urine and feces to leak down constantly, ostracizing them from their families and causing later death if not surgicall…

Sure, that's fine that your girlfriend likes salads. There is nothing wrong with liking salads, and I'm not sure where this idea is coming from. There is, however, something wrong with preferring women to wear shoes that are both dangerous and damaging to the body, preferring that women don't eat much food while you can eat whatever you want, and preferring that your girlfriend spends stupid amounts of money on cosmetic procedures that don't actually add to the attractiveness of a woman.
/r/MensRights23/10/12 10:27 PM

You're looking only at the numerical effects, but you are completely ignoring the outcomes of those effects. Losing 20,000 nerve endings means little when you can still orgasm just like any other man would. I am well aware that MGM is more common than FGM and I have never suggested otherwise. You are also leaving out phase I and II FGM as well however which also remove part or all of the clitoris. Look, understandably, removal of the foreskin causes many issues. I am not denying that. No, it's not okay. I am not in support of nonconsensual male circumcision and never will be, and will obviously not be getting my child circumcised if I have one. But you also have to understand that although removing the foreskin of the penis decreases sensation, it does not remove all possibilities for orgasm. All circumcised men (provide it's not a botched circumcision) can still have orgasms and can still ejaculate. The vast majority (70%+) of women will not be able to orgasm without a clito…

/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:37 PM

Because you literally ranked damaging the glans as worse than damaging the clitoris.
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:34 PM

You are ranking forms of genital mutilation from worst to least bad. Each time, you rank MGM as worse than FGM.
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:27 PM

Why not? Only a tiny percentage of women can orgasm from cervical stimulation. Telling women "It's okay that your clitoris is gone, you still have your cervix!" is like telling men "It's okay that your penis is gone, you still have your testicles!"
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:23 PM

So basically, mutilating a penis is always worse than mutilating a clitoris.
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:07 PM

The two procedures are very, very different. They're not the same thing at all, and trying to compare the two by reducing them to just "having their genitals mutilated" leaves out the very important differences between FGM and MGM.
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:04 PM

But they cut off different parts of the genitals. Having a clitoris removed is like having a penis, or at least the glans, removed. They are not the same thing.
/r/MensRights20/10/12 07:01 PM

By nerve count alone on the average MGM is worse then even the worst forms of FGM. How do I figure? Well, besides having 2.5x the nerve count there are also 11 additional nerve dense tissue types removed during MGM. Conversely, the female victims of phase III FGM still are capable of orgasm and have multiple erogenous zones still intact inside the vagina. Gspot, anterior and posterior fornix, and in some cases the cervix itself. That still doesn't change the fact that most, if not all, circumcis…

I don't see how someone could look at your math test with an A on it then look you in the eye and say "you are so-so at math". That makes zero sense no matter how I try to frame it. Considering I've gotten A's on engineering tests and people tell me it's just because I'm a woman, you have to realize that sexism has no logic behind it.

Well, considering one of the downvotes was from me, and one of the downvotes was from my roommate who I showed the comment to, and neither of us consider ourselves MRA's (we are both egalitarians), the downvotes weren't even coming from MRA's. Also, here's another link where an MRA is heavily upvoted for saying there should be no age of consent: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/cxxqe/age_of_consent_is_misandry/c0w3dze

Um, it means I haven't decided about how I feel on the subject yet. Lol. No need to get so offended.
/r/MensRights14/10/12 04:56 PM

Aaand I never said that.

"Wait... so a 42-year-old man has consensual sex with a 13-year-old girl, and you're saying it IS sexual assault/rape? Rape is forcing someone to have sex against their will. If she agreed to it, it's not rape unless she had a disability. If they're at an age where they understand what sex is, they can understand the consequences, they're past the point where it's all "boy/girl germs" then i think they are mature enough to consent. The problem with the laws as they are is it doesn't take into ac…

I haven't chosen a stance on that subject yet.

Well, I hate to say it, but there have been several times where MRA's agree that 40 year old men should be able to have sex with 13 year old girls, because "It's mentally maturity, not age, that matters."
/r/MensRights13/10/12 06:42 PM

I don't think my question is confusing. Most posters in the thread were able to give an opinion on the subject. The scenario does not have to be realistic - it is simply a matter of, "If you think men should have certain rights, do you think women should have those same rights?" At any rate, abortion being illegal is a very likely scenario - in fact, it is the scenario in many many countries worldwide...
/r/MensRights13/10/12 06:34 PM

But we're talking about from an MRA standpoint - MRA's believe that men should be allowed to sign away their legal responsibilities for their children. And if they believe that, shouldn't they also believe that men should be obligated to pay for half of pregnancy and childbirth costs if abortion is illegal? That is the question I am posing in this topic.

Females are the only members of society with reproductive rights and choices. Make sure you know what topic you're posting in. Just read the title of the thread... If abortion is illegal. Unless raped, every child conceived is a direct result of a voluntary choice made by a female, and only a female. And a male. Lol. There are no laws preventing a female from proccuring an abortion if she so chooses. None. Actually, there are PLENTY of laws restricting and preventing women from having abortions …

It's not touchy, it's a fact. You saying I'm being "touchy" doesn't make your post any less ad hominem.

Equality means that there are 0 differences between men and women and that is just not true Nobody thinks that equality means there are 0 differences between men and women. It means that there should be equal rights for men and women. men are built to be bigger and stronger than women, women are built to nurture children, since women are weakened by childbearing this gives men the role of provider and protector. "Weakened" by childbearing? Most women are perfectly capable of going about their da…
/r/MensRights12/10/12 04:16 PM

So you are saying that the government should pay for women's pregnancy and childbirth costs? If so, I can accept this as a fair, egalitarian response.
/r/MensRights12/10/12 04:08 PM

If I have no reproductive rights, how can I possibly have reproductive responsibilities? I would add that I consented to sex and not procreation. But if women don't have reproductive rights either, how can they possibly have reproductive responsibilities? I would add that these women consented to sex and not procreation. Don't you mean women who allow themselves to become pregnant? Wait, so women just "allow" themselves to become pregnant? They do it all by themselves, without men?
/r/MensRights12/10/12 04:08 PM

If MRA's think that if women have the right to sign away legal responsibilities to their child (abortion), then men should be able to do that too, then they should also think that if women don't have the right to sign away legal responsibilities to their child, men shouldn't be able to either.

Like I said, this topic is only discussion for pregnancy and childbirth, not what happens to the baby when it is born. What happens to the baby after it is born is irrelevant to this discussion. Yes

First of all, the study says nothing about 10 US colleges. It just says that this was taken from one small metropolitan community. Second of all, this is 45 false rape accusations. In one city. Literally the only conclusion you can draw from this study is that in a nine year period in a small, unnamed, community, there were 45 POSSIBLY false rape allegations. Not to mention, not all of the "false" rape accusations were actually confirmed false. This "45" number includes women who withdrew their …

Wow, that's one terrible study. Sample size: 45 false rape accusations in ONE small metropolitan community. The fluctuations were ridiculously high. (27% false one year, 70% the next year.) The "false allegations" also include, like you said, reports that were recanted (not necessarily because they were false) and women who took polygraph tests. Yeah, this is a terrible study. 45 cases in a small town doesn't mean a thing.

Wait, so where does it say that FEMINISTS "trip on their own feet" and feminists say it is wrong for transgender people to abuse Title IX? EDIT: Wait, why am I getting downvoted? Nothing in this article suggests that feminists are the ones who are saying what the OP claims. It seems to me here like the OP is just trying to blame feminists for something they never did. All the downvotes I'm getting pretty much confirm that the OP made this up for just to get a rise from the MRA community.

I can agree with that to an extent, but it sounds to me as though you are advocating that men do things such as get rich & famous or sell drugs to make up for the fact that they are shitty in bed. That's not an accurate way of looking at things. Women aren't going to stick around if you give them free drugs but suck in bed. Instead, they'll just cheat on you with/leave you for someone who is good in bed.

Because remember, women don't enjoy sex or orgasms.

I think we can agree that someone who cares about their kids and holds them is a better parent than one who completely ignores their kids, lol.

It seems as though all this seems to suggest is that women are the natural care-givers. This seems to support the idea that women should be given custody more often than men. The more posts like this I read, the more it seems that MRA's are more anti-feminist than they are pro-men's rights. If it were the other way around, this link would literally never be posted here.

Actually, the study showed that male monkeys prefer toy cars, but female monkeys were equally likely to play with cars and dolls. Get your facts straight.
