Yeah, this is a classic troll bait. If the idea of forcing someone to lose bodily autonomy is offensive to you, then how is losing bodily autonomy for women acceptable? - her argument here

So you really think that parasitism, an entire biological area of study, has a single definition provided directly by google? And that definition is defined only by google, and no other biologist has ever produced a definition that doesn’t include a parasitic relationship not underscored by differing species? Or maybe, just fucking maybe, the top google result isn’t a definitive answer for every question.

Oh, I guess a google search is better than my biology degree.

This is conflation of two entirely separate issues for the purpose of riling you up. Abortion is, from the pro-choice perspective, the ability of a woman to decide if her body gets hijacked for 9 months and entirely dedicated the process of pregnancy. It's an asymettric risk for women, as men don't have to go through pregnancy. Right now, the law is that there is no baby during an abortion, as the viability of the fetus isn't such that it can survive. Child support reform is a fine topic of disc…

No, the definition of a parasite is an organism that feeds or nourishes itself off the body of its host. A fetus is, by the biologic definition, a parasite.

Agreed. I subbed when it talked about legitimate issues facing the male population like prison sentences, divorce and custody inequality, etc. Now there’s this huge rise in “reeeeeeee wmyn suck!” bullshit.

This is just incel talking points and doesn't belong on Men's Rights. Get your shit together.

This looks like a troll posted by an incel. It checks all their same talking points about how "foids" think.

The whole purpose of Lyanna Mormont is to shame fully grown men. It’s literally her whole purpose in the narrative. A little girl says things that’s adult men don’t, calls people out when adult men are too afraid. And it’s not like the actress is even saying this in a feminist context. This isn’t the actress saying some sexist thing, this is you reaching so hard it’s pathetic. Grow the fuck up and focus on real issues.

This may be the stupidest thing to come out of this sub. It just makes you look pathetic. You’re not supposed to be incels, you’re supposed to be fighting for legitimate equality on men’s issues. Don’t confuse the two.

I really appreciate your articulate position, even if I disagree. I would have a problem with an ad that asks women to fight promiscuity, as I see nothing wrong with promiscuity. I would have no problem with an ad that asks women to stop judging eachother based on physical appearance, or encourages women to be more supportive of eachother (calling out gossipy behavior in teens, perhaps?). The behaviors the ad points to in men, like it or not, are prevelant in society. Workplace belittling/harass…

Because it says what everyone here likes, and it doesn't say things they don't like. The ad correctly presents the issues facing men that MRAs are interested in, and justifiably so. It doesn't present the issues that MRAs aren't interested in, like sexual harrassment, holding eachother to a higher standard, and teaching our children to be better than we were (apparently that's controversial too?). I really don't understand the outcry over the Gilette commercial, other than the people who feel li…

That's what half this shit feels like. It's autistic incels saying "but how do I talk to girls if I make them feel uncomfortable?" Women aren't that hard to understand. They're literally just people. Talk to them that way. If you have a problem thinking of women as people, you're the exact person this is targetted to. There are legitimate Men's Rights issues to be worried about. Teaching our children to be better than we are, and to treat people with respect, isn't one of them.

I completely agree that the extreme feminist approach is, in reality, a gender-bias masquerading as an equality campaign. But, we can't immediately assume that everyone who uses the word "feminist" is advocating for that. Feminism is supposed to be about advocating for equality for both genders, and some people still take it to mean that. Sure, it's been coopted by some parties, but we can't just hate anyone who now chooses to use the word.

But is she advocating for radical feminism as this sub tends to interpret it, or is she advocating for equality as she understands the words? We can't immediately interpret every use of the word "feminist" as the crazy, man-hating/ignoring type, or we're doing the same kind of instant judgement that the crazy feminists do of all men.

I know this is the wrong place to say this, but I don't think she's arguing here for some crazy extreme version of feminism. She's just saying, you're either for all of us being equal, or you're an asshole. Is that wrong?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
