28	200 Female inmates only paid $1 an hour to fight fires. (Forget about the 4,400 male inmates who have to do the same) I was talking with some firemen about this today and they said this is actually fairly common. It is good for the general public for obvious reasons but it also benefits the prisoners because some can become full fledged wild-land firefighters when they are released.
