The Simplest Meditation for BeginnersWhat makes you say that or where have you heard that? I’m not here to advertise Headspace, but I also feel obligated to defend Andy due to how much his teachings / app has improved my life. He spent 10 years meditating in India, Nepal, Russia, Thailand etc and sometimes was meditating up to 18 hours a day. watch his talks / interviews on YouTube and if you still believe he is in it only for the money feel free to explain why. | /r/TheRedPill | 28/08/18 05:03 PM
The Simplest Meditation for BeginnersI’d recommend downloading the Headspace app. They do guided meditations and I’m pretty sure they still offer a free trial for 30 days. It’s the best app I’ve come across for teaching the basics and helping you get into a regular routine. | /r/TheRedPill | 28/08/18 07:26 AM
The Simplest Meditation for BeginnersDon’t think of it as doing nothing. Meditation is active and you are directing your attention on the breath and following it. This is difficult because we spend most of our lives constantly distracted by our phones, TVs etc. Our minds are constantly wandering and we spend our lives lost in thought. It is surprisingly difficult to sustain your focus on one thing and be in the present moment. Your focus will improve if you keep training, every time your mind wanders, bring it back to the breath an… | /r/TheRedPill | 27/08/18 02:11 PM
The Simplest Meditation for BeginnersThat’s normal. If you meditate regularly for long enough you will improve your ability to sustain focus | /r/TheRedPill | 27/08/18 02:00 PM
The Simplest Meditation for BeginnersI’ve been meditating pretty much every day for the past 2 years. This is a helpful post but a few points: it’s generally advised to not be as comfy as possible. You should sit with your back straight to help you stay alert. Just sat up right in a chair is fine. Likelihood is if you are laying down you will get tired or drowsy (sometimes referred to in Buddhist teachings as dullness). wouldn’t advise beginners to start with 30 minutes. 5-10 minutes is a better place to start otherwise you will be… | /r/TheRedPill | 27/08/18 10:51 AM
Need help overcoming anxietyMeditation is key & is the best way to actually get to the root of anxiety and understand what the process is. Prescribed drugs will likely just control symptoms (e.g sweating & fast heart rate can be helped by beta-blockers). Look up specifically meditation for anxiety, it’s not a short term fix but if you meditate for 10 minutes every day for 2 weeks I can assure you that you will see a significant improvement in your anxiety. Do it consistently for 2 months you’ll see dramatic changes. I know… | /r/askTRP | 02/08/18 07:39 AM
Why Your Frame SucksHeadspace or 10% happier are the best I’ve come across. I have been meditating for over 2 years: although my knowledge is limited in the grand scheme of things I’d be happy to answer any questions | /r/TheRedPill | 31/07/18 02:53 PM
Wow. Female contestants of reality TV shows such as Love Island regret their decisions. Who knew!?A huge % of adults in the world are obsessed with reality TV. If you ever doubt the power and influence these shows can have, remember that Donald Trump is president and Kim Kardashian has one of the largest platforms in the world. Just appearing on a show like Love Island (not necessarily winning or even coming across that well) will probably set you up with a career for life as a model / instagram blogger / influencer / etc. It’s easy to see why people fall into the trap of idolising these idi… | /r/TheRedPill | 31/07/18 10:41 AM
What I learned from going up north about the importance of male spacesBeing transgender isn’t a mental illness. They are a very high risk group for a number of other mental illnesses though | /r/TheRedPill | 13/06/18 09:11 PM
