You have no reason to feel shame. Ignore the hate and be good. That's all anyone can reasonably ask of you.

Venture Capitalist hate women so much that they will lose money just so a woman doesn't get any. It's the only explanation.

If the jobs were safe they wouldn't be called "the top 20 most dangerous jobs." If I work at one of those jobs, I want ONLY people who want to be there and are 100% capable of performing it beside me. I'll save making a point for any time other than when my life depends on it.

So you want men to get hurt so you can make a point? That reminds me of a certain group, but I can't put my finger on it. 🤔

I was responding to the question asked, which was, "Should women be drafted?" The answer to that question is, "No, nobody should be drafted."

You explained how politicians fuck us at every turn. My statement, "NOBODY SHOULD be drafted" stands. In my statement NOBODY means NOBODY. It doesn't mean men. Nobody. At all. Ever. Period.
/r/MensRights01/04/25 06:02 PM

How does "NOBODY" mean "only men"? When I say nobody, that is exactly what I mean. I don't mean maintain the status quo, I mean stop sending people to die for wars politicians create. Period.

Anyone who objects to mandatory, unnecessary medical procedures. If I don't question who the father of my child is, why should a paternity test be mandatory?
/r/MensRights09/06/24 03:15 AM
1

I'm against the mandatory part. You don't need government forcing you to do things against your will, including performing tests on your children. Believe it or not, most kids are born to parents without a question as to who the father is.
/r/MensRights09/06/24 03:13 AM
-12

That's a completely different situation. If you are in a situation where somebody is extracting money from you and you believe it isn't your kid, then you should be able to demand proof.
/r/MensRights09/06/24 03:11 AM
-14

Forcing medical procedures on other people, male or female, is always against bodily autonomy.
/r/MensRights09/06/24 03:09 AM

Of course. What other conclusion could one possibly come to because I don't support mandatory forced medical procedures on other people.

Because you don't own other people's bodies.
/r/MensRights08/06/24 11:45 PM

Or they understand that you own your body, not the government. This kind of logic is the exact same that cops use to pretend that refusing a voluntary search is proof or wrongdoing. It's wrong in both instances.

No. I don't support forcing people to do anything that is a violation of their personal rights. And neither should anyone in this movement.

In the history of the US, the total time prosecutors have spent in jail for crimes up to and including outright framing people who then spent years in jail is ten days. If that's a guaranteed win, what's a guaranteed loss look like?
/r/MensRights27/04/24 06:59 PM

Every state does. It's called qualified immunity. I'm laymen's terms it means if the state does something that it knows is 100% wrong, illegal, immoral, and ruins your life, sucks to be you, plebe.

You want them to waste more money in legal fees?
/r/MensRights27/04/24 03:10 PM

His accuser in this case is the state. They were grasping at straws and, as they do all the time, latch on to the easiest suspect and don't let go until it's blatantly obvious, as it was in this case, that they can't win in court. Not that they have the wrong guy - they couldn't care less about that - but that they can't win in court.

They would have to be 50% more effective than they are now to be half effective. They don't detect lies at all. They detect bodily reactions to stressors. You know, like being accused of a crime. Anyone who takes a polygraph test is their own worst enemy.

There is no justification for forcing anyone, male or female, to go to a foreign land and kill people against their will. There should be no draft, period. Extending a practice that is wrong in the first place to include more people isn't a win, it's a bigger loss.

This is hardly unique to feminists. Anyone with an inconsistent moral philosophy is going to experience cognitive dissonance sooner or later, and rather than admit they've been trapped by their own inconsistencies, most will cower into a shelter of straw men or other logical fallacies peppered with a healthy amount of weak insults.

Not even remotely interested in getting into that debate.
/r/MensRights30/03/23 08:50 PM

Right, but my point was that "up to this point" implies that things just changed. It has literally been decades that women have benefited in various ways in both education and in the workforce.
/r/MensRights30/03/23 08:45 PM

Up until what point? I'm almost 50 and have worked side by side and even for women my entire adult life.

I doubt you're qualified to make that diagnosis, and even if you are there certainly isn't enough information in a single Reddit post to make it.

So now being gay is a choice, not the way you're born?
/r/MensRights12/02/23 05:43 PM

I'm tired of the double standard of equality that some women want. If a man did this to another man, hands would be thrown at the very least. So if a woman does this to a man, she should expect - and get - the hands as well. Shit like this definitely falls under the umbrella of "Don't start none and there won't be none." Unfortunately though, this is a no-win situation for us. If you even rightly throw hands at this psycho you will end up getting a visit from the blue mafia.

It doesn't affect me in the least one way or the other. But this idea that the courts are going to deliver justice, especially when it comes to police and elected officials, is simply not supported by the evidence. For example, in the history of our country, prosecutors who have been shown beyond a shadow of a doubt to have engaged in wrongdoing that led to a defendant spending time in prison have spent a combined total of 10 DAYS in jail. That is not a typo. Days. Not weeks, not months, and abs…

The value in the fight is subjective. One may feel a fight that will almost certainly prove futile is not worth the time and energy it will take to lose. It's also easy for me to say not to fight it or you to say fight it because neither of us has to live with the consequences of either decision. Either way, I hope the OP can find peace and get past this in a way that brings it to him.

I'm not a fan of making others suffer just because someone asks me to. If you aren't a conscientious objector then by all means, go to war. Or you could claim CO status and make the draft moot. But I'm not going to insist others do something I'm not willing to do.
/r/MensRights03/12/22 07:59 PM
13

Well we're halfway there then. Men shouldn't have to be forced into involuntary servitude either. I'm not going to a foreign land to kill people that were never a threat to me so that some scumbag politician can line his pockets with kickbacks from defense contractors. Fuck that.
/r/MensRights03/12/22 03:23 PM

While this sounds good on paper, it's almost guaranteed to be an exercise in unbelievably frustrating futility. The police - and especially the prosecutor - will absolutely pay no price for their parts. And if she doesn't admit that she lied, which is also a long shot at the very best, you're not going to get anything out of her, except maybe in a civil trial, where you won't be able to squeeze blood out of a turnip. The unfortunate truth, as the OP has no doubt learned, is that there does not e…
/r/MensRights03/12/22 03:07 PM

That's true. One definitely fears what has caused them harm in the past. That's natural.
/r/MensRights12/11/22 11:18 PM
-12

It does and it doesn't. But the statement that men are more likely to be victims ignores the fact that it a woman is a victim - and if you're a woman that is your frame of reference - a man is likely going to be the one victimizing her. So from her perspective it makes sense to be more afraid of men than of women, at least as far as it makes sense to be afraid of an entire group, which it obviously doesn't. I'm just saying that argument really doesn't help men either way.
/r/MensRights12/11/22 10:27 PM
-44

This doesn't really address the issue at hand though because men are also far more likely to be the perpetrators. One important question is, when women are the victim, who are the perpetrators? Though even if it is men - and I suspect it is - that doesn't excuse painting all of us with such a wide brush.
/r/MensRights12/11/22 08:48 PM

I went through a similar although not exactly the same scenario growing up, so I have some idea what you're dealing with. I really hope that you are all able to find a way to make it through this.

You need to contact a lawyer. Some of the advice you get on the Internet is going to be . . . unhelpful. For example, from the description of events, limited as they are, it sounds like she may have filled some reports against him ("malicious prosecution and filling false reports.") Given that, and the fact that he's a man and she's a woman, advice like shooting her to kill could very easily lead to a life sentence if he's lucky. A good lawyer will look at all that's been done so far and offer w…

This is not unique to women at all. Any time you point out the cognitive dissonance in someone's arguments they generally respond negatively. People generally don't like having their beliefs challenged in a logical way. They generally have memorized the talking points and how to respond to really weak arguments, but are woefully unprepared to respond to actual, substantive arguments. For this reason, Reddit downvotes make me smile. They are rarely accompanied by an counterargument, and if they a…

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. It sucks more than I can say, and probably more than I can imagine. Unfortunately though, I feel you're screwed. I hate to say it, but it's true. There is almost no examples of them being held accountable for completely destroying people's lives, even when they are literally caught framing people for murder. I hope you get to come back he…

While it's true that we often have different consequences, how others twist themselves into pretzels to try and justify their actions doesn't change the morality of an action. Wrong is wrong 100% of the time. Because others choose to do wrong doesn't justify me doing wrong, especially to individuals who haven't wronged me. Some =/= All, so I'm not going to punish people who haven't done anything to me. If they choose that approach with me, I'll deal with those individuals accordingly.

The first step is to stop viewing people as belonging to groups and view them as individuals. Ideally we wouldn't need men's rights, women's rights, black rights, etc if we called the rights of the individual. We will never achieve anything resembling equal rights until we do.

Your story reminds me of the old joke that "Women will tell each other that they look great, but they don't mean it. Men will tell each other that they're assholes, etc but they don't mean it either." Whether people like to admit it or not, men and women are different, and the way they bond is one of the biggest differences.

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. The father's day thing was the slap in the face. The disregard for your feelings was the kick in the nuts. If this is how you're treated during your engagement, I don't even want to imagine what it would be like five years from now, after the honeymoon period is over. You need to rip this band aid off now and get while the getting is good. I hate to be so blunt end come of as an ass, but this can only end badly, so why not get it over with?

To be honest, I'm not really upset about it, but I do consider it, now, to be wrong. Of course when I was born it was considered normal, so I can't really fault my parents. What does actually piss me off is the blatant hypocrisy by those who cry about female reproductive rights while actively pissing on male reproductive rights.

It's not really important at all for genders to be returned in every field because men and women inherently make different choices. There are studies that show this from toddler age. The idea that women are going to get attacked simply because they work among men is bull shit. There is no patriarchy and men are denied equal rights every but as much as women. If you don't believe me, go look in family court. Talk to a social worker who has to give custody to the mom simply because she meets the b…

True. But women have 100% of the say in whether that zygote becomes an embryo, fetus, and then child. And even though a man has no say in any of that, he can still be held financially responsible for it. If only a woman can choose whether or not to abort a pregnancy, if she unilaterally chooses to have a child, she should unilaterally be willing to pay for it. But instead, many want it both ways.

My dad has never been the kind of guy to say I love you and show genuine affection toward other men either. So my brother and I have taken it on ourselves to make sure we say I love you at the end of phone calls, etc. Most of us are going to outlive our fathers and I would hate to have mine pass having missed the chance just to say it. I know it makes him slightly uncomfortable, and he still never says it first, but I think he's getting more used to it every time.

Don't join the military for the benefits. It's a shit life for shit pay and you're treated like the disposable shit you are to them. Get a job at Publix, earn more money, and have them pay for your college while you actually have time to attend. Starbucks will also pay 100% of your tuition to ASU online and you won't be asked to kill people who were never a threat to you. Many other companies will also reimburse you for college.

You are absolutely correct. If you're going to be a software developer, you have to know a lot languages. Not only that, you have to know how collaborate and all about software life cycles and stuff I don't really know. But if you're only using programming or scripting to augment your job in another area, Python is a great place to start. But you're still going to have to know more than that too, as you stated. Tools like Ansible are becoming really popular. You need to know some markup language…

First, 28 is not old. If you're going to reinvent yourself, this is a good time to do it. Second, a leopard doesn't change its spots. You don't have to hate your mom, but it's obvious she's not going to be your cheerleader. Nor should she be. You have to be your number one fan. If you can't be happy with yourself, you will have some real problems getting others to be happy with you. Take pride in your accomplishments, even the small ones. They are foundation of what makes you you. Finally, if yo…

If my lawyer acted even remotely impartial, I'd fire him in a heartbeat. A lawyer is a true representative of his client. He should act with extreme prejudice in that regard. Impartiality is the absolute last thing I want in a lawyer.

I like how she says civilians are so insensitive to what military personnel go through while they have color guards marching before every sporting event during the national anthem. I don't know why you're getting downvoted. Recruiters are straight up LIARS. They will tell you almost anything to get you sign on that line and when you're 18 you don't know shit about shit and so of course you believe it.

WWII had a draft, but it wasn't necessary because there were plenty of volunteers. In fact if someone was categorized as 4F, even through no fault of their own, they often felt ashamed. We haven't fought anything that could be considered a defensive war since then. If we do, I suspect it will look something like Ukraine does now. Even during Afghanistan there were plenty of volunteers. To be fair, I can't be 100% sure, but neither can the person who said it is necessary. We're both just taking o…

I honestly don't consider it sexual assault because the only goal to kicking someone in the balls is to cause them pain. If the most painful place to kick a man was his knee, that's where we would be kicked. They aren't trying to cop a feel or anything like that.

A defensive war would not require a draft. See Ukraine, Afghanistan, Vietnam for examples. People will fight for their homes and their families. Politicians will send you and your family to die for nothing at all.

Satire is a comedic device used to illustrate, or often to emphasize a person's vices or shortcomings - in this case the sloth of the man in the commercial. That's how it is satire. You boys are just a bunch of whiny asses looking for something by which to be offended. One thing I have found to be an absolute certainty in this life is that if you look to be offended, you will. Another thing I have learned is those that get offended so easily by something that is so obviously meant to be a joke u…
