I'm honestly disgusted by those people calling themselves feminists. There are always people evil in every good movement; but I'd rather be associated with the people who are too radical than the people who try and maintain the status quo (meaning the evil people in the MRA), because it's a lot harder to move the status quo towards equal than to keep it in place.

I'm saying that everyones gets toi try to prioritize, but the main thing is to not get mad at people who have prioritized other things in front of your top things. Feminists aren't thinking about conceding anything to men because they don't see it as an urgent problem.

FGM is a lot more risky than MGM, and leads to many more health problems. Both should be prohibited, but it is more important for FGM than for MGM. We're prioritizing here.

Almost all females are in the soft sciences or arts. I want women in Neuroscience and physics. Both of those areas have less than 30%, and i want at least 45%. Movies made with female casts often make tons of money. Pitch Perfect, Devil Wears Prada, ect., all made a lot of money. Devil Wears Prada made more money than Inglorious Basterds (chosen because of your Brad Pitt example). It's not business sense, it's sexism.

Because all that preferential treatment is set up to try and counter the invisible ways in which we discourage women from getting into those programs- and the preferential treatment is not working. It's not enough And that's BS- males are more likely to go to movies because 90% of movies are made for males. looking at the box office right now.... yep. There are 3 movies with female leads, and 30 movies with male leads. That's why more money comes from men; because movies are made for men.

the 4 uses of the word woman all pertain to pregnancy, or legal names of medical conditions. Many of the uses of the word "women" are in titles; and the actual text uses person. It's a lot more productive to join forces with the anti-male feminists and try and influence their position that way than to join with the anti-female misogynists and try and influence their position. They are not feminists. They do not understand feminism. I believe that feminism has been radically misguided, and we are in store for a third wave feminist movement. Feminism is about equality, it always has been. The word was even invented by a man in the 1800s.

I'm most familiar to the VAWA, and in it's case, it also supports men who are victims of domestic violence. All of the pronouns used in the bill are non gendered, such as "spouse", "victim" "youth" or "child"

In law? None. In culture? plenty. there have been girls who have been expelled from schools because they were victims of a rape. Female politicians are judged based on appearance and persona much more so than male politicians. 84% of people in the entertainment industry are male, and about the same amount of physics doctors are male. Why? I've heard teachers tell female students that they shouldn't be in sciences because of their gender, and push them away from potentially doing great work.

As a male feminist, I think that there is very little that feminists need to concede to men. Women hold very little upper ground when it comes to gender relations.
