…women are becoming increasingly comfortable with staying single until the right man (read: someone with basic emotional intelligence who knows how to operate a washing machine) comes along. Haha. This article reeks of female insecurity. It’s like that person screaming “I’m ok! I’m ok!”, when they’re actually crying inside. Yet another deluded woman telling us how to live our lives…

You’re in the wrong sub mate. Head off back to mgtow.

And you’re just as bad as actual feminists-getting triggered by the tiniest opposition to your opinion. This isn’t what we’re about here, or at least it wasn’t what we were about.

Ah, I’ve been there and done that. Used to work in healthcare full of these uneducated ****s. Best bit of advice I can give you is to keep yourself to yourself. Put on headphones while you work or anything else to block out their droning. They’ll try to drag you down to their level, but don’t let in-as the moment you do, your work will suffer and guess who will be to blame in the end.

They’re making one massive assumption that all of these women were paired with males within a collective/tribe system. And also that their male partners hadn’t been killed and were therefore gathering and childminding...? If these cannot be proven, then why is the idea of a lone wolf female so outlandish? After all, if she was cast out of her community or widowed, then how else was she meant to survive? This has no bearing on the gender role paradigm. Perhaps it may also explain why this is only…

Thanks for the article. I agree with the whole Harry Styles attention grab bullshit. And I get where she’s coming from with regards to the loss of our traditional masculinity to fear of feminist reprisal. But, that whole piece sounded like a dating requirement checklist; and I don’t need yet another woman telling me how to be a man. Just like a lot of women aren’t the traditional, submissive housewife, she shouldn’t expect us to conform to her biases.

Why do you feel the need to dichotomise? A day commemorating men should logically encompass all things related to men. Referring to your reasoning: You forget that not all men are fathers (me included), yet all men are at risk of mental health problems and suicide. I don’t think you can pick or choose the issues that affect us as men. And by casting out subgroups of men, you’ll be dividing our community, when instead you should be working on fraternising it.

Granted this is the first I’ve heard of this guy and I therefore don’t know what he’s said or done during his life. But. He’s a human being at the end of the day and all humans deserve the opportunity be educated in the morally correct while also being forgiven for their prior actions. This is the wrong sub in which to preach your deluded ideals of masculinity. r/MensLib would welcome you with open arms my friend. Thanks for the article. She speaks a lot of sense. But I wouldn’t willingly advocate for the host-who in no uncertain terms states that it’s ok to hate ‘MRAs who promote hating women’. See here: https://twitter.com/RyanWokeFather/status/1320441395077881856?s=20 He’s obviously not as ‘woke’ as he seems if he thinks we’re a misogynistic hate group.

I think it goes deeper than prosecuting homosexuality itself. Men are being blindly labelled homosexual on the most inane of grounds. It’s all a power trip for the police to project their sexual insecurities on vulnerable men-regardless of their sexuality.

What exactly is toxic about boys being boys? When men are the first to jump in front of their female partners during a terrorist attack, I don’t see many women complaining. Yet we’re still demonised for embracing our masculinity.

Hey thanks for the reply. I’ve got a similar build to yourself and I’ve also for the longest time aspired to the lean, toned image of men that I’ve seen on tv etc. I’ve gained quite a bit in size over the last two years. And I’ve found myself questioning whether I’m still as attractive as I was when I was leaner. Similar to yourself, it was a lean-built friend of mine that mentioned that he wished he had my broad shoulders and the V-shape. This of course got me thinking. Why wasn’t/am I happy in…

Well Yh I am speaking for myself. After all, not one person has the right to define my masculinity-and in any way change who I am as a man. If gender was as fluid as you think, why are you posting on a Mens Rights sub? You’re making yourself look silly by accepting the male/female dichotomy yet advocating for a gender spectrum. Maybe you should ‘Chill down bro’ and head back to your gender studies groups for solace.

You’re the very reason that men are developing mental health issues and committing suicide. How sad that people are still buying into the toxic patriarchy rubbish being paraded around by feminists. As feminism challenges the roles of “women” it is only fair and natural to do so with the other side. You cannot call yourself a feminist and accept masculinity as it is. No; our masculinity needs not be challenged or altered in anyway. It instead needs to be celebrated and embraced. While feminism is…

Dunno why this is getting downvoted. No this statement isn’t racist or whatever you want to label it as. It’s the truth, and something that I can attest to, being British and growing up amongst working class boys.
/r/MensRights11/05/20 05:29 PM
1

So your interpretation of black working-class boys is that they’re all the children of rich and highly successful people who were [from countries which were] colonies of the UK; and are therefore more determined to succeed? Dismissing your deranged opinion that all migrants are highly rich and successful, they’re not just black boys, they’re working class black boys, whose parents are obviously not highly rich and successful. Therefore there must be other reasons to explain this (other than your…

I was replying to your comment, which has nothing to do with the article.
/r/MensRights11/05/20 11:02 AM

I can’t agree with this. My parents came over to the UK with nothing. No money, no degrees, no benefits. Yet despite their fate, they’ve managed to craft great careers and bring me up in financial stability. Granted, there is more that the government can do to support the working class in the UK, but don’t tell me that they’ve had no opportunities to make a life for themselves, as that’s not true.
/r/MensRights11/05/20 10:57 AM

Nevertheless it’s interesting to hear testimony from somebody who’ll admit that feminism fucked up her life. Someone with an anon account should link this to one of the feminist subs as a riposte.

Don’t know the context of this, but it seems like most of the people that went in were probably friends with the girl. Anyhow, I’m glad that a few guys helped pull them off him at least.

This article was highlighting why men are more at risk of severe symptoms (not deaths particularly) due to our lifestyles and biology. But if you want statistics on deaths, this tracker is pretty reliable: http://globalhealth5050.org/covid19/ And yes, more men are dying of COVID-19 than women.

Most day-to-day diseases don’t seem to care what sex you are: man or woman, those coughs, colds and stomach bugs latch on regardless. But there’s clear evidence that COVID-19 is different. Across the world, scientists are reporting that men are much more likely to suffer severe symptoms from the illness, meaning more will succumb. So what factors could be important? The most obvious are lifestyle-related: in the UK, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS), more men (16.5 per cent) t…

I completely get that. There is definitely a wider issue of distancing ourselves from r/MGTOW, which became a closeted-Incel sanctuary. Your point is 100% valid, that though we advocate our rights, we must maintain an optimistic view of women and dating, for otherwise we’re fucked. I’ve been meaning to write a thread about this for some time, but maybe you’re better placed to do it! No, you’re doing a good thing by sharing your personal experiences-as after all, the reason we’re all here is to i…

Oh yh for sure. Personally I never have and never will chase after a woman-I don’t see the point in wasting all of that energy and dealing with the ego hit, to hope that one of them fancies you. Let alone the others who perceive your advances as sexual harassment or ‘creepy’. If anything, MeToo was a good thing, since it’ll save a save a whole load of men the heartache and criminality-while turning the tides on traditional courtship.

I meant femcels and incels in their derogatory state-not literal. However you’ve cleared that up, so fair point. But in the initial argument of: FDS=Serious/credible or not? It’s clear that it’s not; however, this doesn’t negate the fact that it’s got 60k members. So akin to atheists who read religious texts to reinforce their atheistic beliefs, it’s important that we pay attention to the ideas being posted on there-regardless of how farfetched. Of course I know you don’t agree with this, so ple…

I think you misunderstand what u/Lethn was getting at. You cannot dismiss that the women who join that sub don’t go in with innocent/curious intentions. And by saying that they’re all femcels, you’re just as bad as the women who call MRAs incels for doing what we do. The issue is that those who frequent FDS May heed the advice as gospel, and translate it to the ‘real’ world. Precisely. Women expect us to be able to read their minds; and get annoyed when we don’t pick up their ‘signals’. What fucking signals?! You looking at me when I walk into the room?! Honestly... Well according to this article: https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2020/03/feminism-womens-rights-coronavirus-covid19/608302/ -women are being forced to ‘take the hit’ and stay at home with their sick kids, while their ‘domestic abusers’ rotate between socialising, work and violently abusing them at home. Can they seriously not focus on the things that matter?
/r/MensRights20/03/20 12:58 PM
3

I don’t condone violence in resolving issues, but in this I must say that had it coming. If the roles were reversed, there’d be jubilation all over for the woman driver ‘sticking up for herself’. So there’s nothing at all wrong about the male driver taking action to shut her up.

Is this all you’ve got in your repository of rebuttals?! If there’s no decent arguments you can make to defend your OC, then it’s only a reflection on your lack of rationale. What expectations on here? Where’s your evidence that ‘any woman’ other than yourself is ...? Again, I’ll stress. Don’t think that women in here are treated the same way that you treat men in r/Feminism et al. I honestly didn’t know you were a woman. But now you’ve established that, it sheds light on your partisan stance. Your comment seemed unnecessarily bitter and frustrated-something unsurprisingly common to feminists who discredit male testimony at every moment. Yes, my title is a comment, but then again which title isn’t? Good point, but sometimes these descriptive titles spoil the OP. And IMO, it would’ve done it in this case. If this doesn’t strike a chord, imagine a movie title that baits out the plot twist of a movie.

I think you’re in the wrong sub honestly. If you’re after gender bashing, I’ll kindly point you in the r/Feminism direction. Thanks for making us aware of this. How embarrassing for the Lancet to be publishing such a partisan article. And it’s not just them. Numerous others like the AJoP and NEJM have seemingly been plagued with feminist propaganda. The original article starts off reasonably, by mentioning that more men than women die due to ‘gendered differences’ like rates of smoking (no not even their tougher lives working on the fields and hence lower LEs). I don’t agree with the selfishness related with treating your parents on these specific days, as after all you should be the best son/daughter throughout the whole fucking year. But. You have to make the distinction between Mother’s Day and international women’s day-where supporters hypocritically fail to acknowledge the necessity for international men’s day. Not surprising in all honesty-they’re a brigade that sit there waiting for posts exactly like this. Oh yes STEM sexism is alive and kicking. This statement exemplifies the intrinsic flaws within your cult. I want children but I do not want to give birth to them. How utterly selfish and narcissistic of you to deem your body so precious that it couldn’t bear a child. Yet it’s perfectly fine for another woman to go through 9 months of pregnancy for your benefit?! As feminists, you live off double standards, reaping the benefits at the behest of everyone else. You’d happily see men fight for you in wars, yet objectify them for the violen…

No, you’ll never fully understand the frustrations of a man who has no access to his children and yet has to pay child support-despite losing many of his belongings and much of his money to the divorce. You’ll never understand the frustrations of a man who has been falsely accused of rape after splitting up with his ex girlfriend. And a result has been abandoned by his friends and demonised as a rapist in society. You’ll never understand the frustrations of a man who has grown up pandering to th…

STEM fields are difficult to access for women?’ What an utter load of rubbish. Did you perhaps pick this up from one of your ‘How to be a good feminist’ handbooks? I’ve been educated to a very high level in a STEM field, and I’ll have you know that the majority of staff I have encountered in academia are women. How’s that for gender equality hey? The reason why women have opted against careers in engineering is for the same reason you don’t see many female mechanics or plumbers. The reason you a…

I’m loving your almost shockingly sudden change of tone, clear-headed honesty and less guttural emotion is something you should educate your fellow feminists of. The problem with feminism is that like you, many women embrace feminism at at a purely reactionary level. You may have been wronged by men in your life, so you make the rash judgment that all men are the same and hence you buy into the misandry that plagues feminism through and through. As a matter of fact, many men have been wronged by…

What you’re seeing here is one of these needless escalations resulting from White Knight Syndrome. Where a deluded man will fly in to the rescue of the crying princess. Nothing the victim says would ever curtail the idea that the woman was in grave danger. As a result of this, the white knight decides to make an example of this harmless boy, using unnecessary force to render the woman safe again. Very, very sad to see this.

True, it isn’t our first reaction and usually we wait for things to escalate massively-which is by far the wrong way of acting. In Caroline Flack’s case, the boyfriend was genuinely concerned for his life, while she was in the process of pummelling him with a lamp. Thank fuck she didn’t end up killing him-which may very well have been the case if he had taken any more of it. Even after the incident, the worst thing is that he still felt the need to defend her all over social media. If anything, …

Just watching Sky news right now who have been covering Flacks death for the last hour-every commentator has been female. Innocence, I’m not too sure. Her boyfriend recently defended her as ‘fucking harmless’ and ‘the most amazing person’. He was clearly backpedaling after acting instinctively to call the police after the event. She wouldn’t have been arrested otherwise... Yes, I do get where you’re coming from. The media do not help anything with their harassment, but being a public figure, this goes with the territory! Amber Heard deserves no less in my opinion.
/r/MensRights15/02/20 06:58 PM

Wow, this was a massive shock. More so as she was all over the TV just a minute ago! We should never jubilate over somebody’s death, but we can only assume that it was the angst of having to face her actions in court. Maybe this signals a change for the better in that no woman (celebrity or not) has the right to abuse their spouse and get away with it.
/r/MensRights15/02/20 06:37 PM

Annoyingly, whether he assaulted or not is besides the point-that if it indeed occurred, nothing stopped the victims from reporting it when it happened and not fucking 40 years later! I cannot comprehend why these sorts of money grabbing attempts are allowed to succeed again and again. Surely it’s high time that laws globally are changed to stop the deceased and defenceless from being sued.

Not sure if there’s much more to her story but to seek revenge for whatever caused the divorce in the first place and to cause him more distress. I mean, would it affect him that much otherwise?! The very action of seeking the other side to the story is what fucks over so many men who have been raped, abused and divorced. As a result, women will inevitably claim the guy invited her attention...or hit her first...or cheated.

Have done. Fascinating that this kind of society exists; however, it’s even more striking in the western gender equal countries where women are typically better educated and work full time. I think what it shows is that the traditional gender roles are more a product of our intrinsic biology and human nature rather than one of oppression as feminists claim. What I’m more confused about is how and when feminists deemed their gender roles as fundamentally degrading. When something needs doing, us …

Thanks for sharing this, very interesting studies with even more interesting findings. One of them being: “...as gender equality increases both men and women gravitate toward their traditional gender roles." You put it very well. How the hell do we act? What do we say? How do we live without fear of reprisal from women? Emotions, sexual desire, anger/aggression, love etc. are the very characteristics that define us as men. And while these may induce female rebuttal, we must learn to be happy in our skin. Changing or closeting these facets of our masculinity is the source of confusion and self doubt that leads to many of the mental issues that affect us.

Double standards. Many women like their options open, I.e. Women’s only spaces when it suits them, and then ‘gender neutral spaces’ when they miss the male attention. However, the moment us men feel the need for our own spaces for whatever the reason, feminists scream “Misogyny!...Inequality!” This comes down to the very essence of MRA and the true equality that we’re lacking in today’s society.

Shows you how their desperation to deny us our legitimate and democratic decision is leaving them clutching at straws. Shortly after the referendum, the result was deemed biased by the middle-aged majority, with the might of the 12-17 year old population being denied their say. Now they’ve sto…

I don’t understand what the students want to achieve by protesting against Epstein’s donations/investments, when they almost certainly have benefited from the facilities and materials that it funded. You won’t see one of them give up their degree credits, yet they will happily force the resignation of innocent faculty members who had no inkling as to Epstein’s crimes; and were ultimately making the best of financial opportunities to provide for the students. More naive is that they assume all of…

Exactly my point! Is it a drop in testosterone that makes them vulnerable to the female domination? Or is it simply a fear of their wives leaving them...?

Lol so they’re saying that white men ‘surrender privilege’ to black women, while white women don’t? Even if this was the case, what a fucking joke.

Well said, totally agree.

Shocking that it took so long and that he’s had to pay nearly £20k to the wife for her efforts. But I’m glad for his sake that he managed to legitimise his second marriage before it was too late.

This is surprising coming from a female author in the BBC. Perhaps times are changing! Definitely a topic that needs more publicity. We only hear women suffering from post-natal depression, while men grin and bear it in support of both child and mother. Little do we know what the men are actually going through and whether they too need help and support. New father support groups are definitely in order, to provide an outlet for those in the same situations.
/r/MensRights13/09/19 11:50 PM

Well explained. The big question though is whether you would give up your seat in either case?
/r/MensRights13/09/19 11:40 PM

I dunno if it’s cause and effect. You’d need many more circumcised 20-somethings to prove it. I think the issue with my generation is what we have seen and witnessed happen to older guys down the line. Being exposed to toxic femininity in society and the media has put a lot of us off getting involved with girls.

Another 23 year old here. Same story, same outlook.

Definitely. Women dare to ask me to give them my seat, but instead stand right in front of me swaying back and forth like their legs are hurting. No chance mate, your gender makes you no more entitled to the seat than me.

Elderly men do work-I’ve seen plenty to make this judgment, additionally the retirement age in the UK is 2 years older than for women. And with a lower life expectancy than women-this doesn’t make sense. Elderly women cannot reproduce either and also take from the coffers...So again, why the disparity in treatment from society?

The neighbourhood and community groups are always going to believe the woman-given that she has brainwashed them all already. Your friend still has a chance to set things straight with the police. If the police still don’t listen to him, then advise him to leave her and leave the area as soon as possible. Curiosity sake, what country are you based in?
/r/MensRights12/09/19 05:35 PM

I think it’s important that he reports it to the police first, evidence and all-just so that it goes on record that he didn’t do whatever she would potentially accuse him of in the future.

The guy in the image is a 35 year old (ex) soldier, if you’re in the UK, he’s in the Channel 5 doc: Suicidal. The men of different ages talk about what has driven them to their thoughts. Presumably much more insightful than the article.

Very interesting to find out that it’s not just in relationships that they behave that way. Any idea what could’ve caused this? I’m wandering if it’s something intrinsic to females and their hormonal biochemistry.

If you listen to her, she’s accusing him of punching her, being the ‘bigger guy’. Not a formal false accusation of course, but it’s likely to transpire into one.

It’s only when women are in vulnerable positions that you see their ‘true colours’. She probably thought that she had the guy under her control throughout the entire relationship-such that he’d simply take the abuse in silence. And the moment he stood up for himself, she’d lost all control and lost her mind. This all goes to show that the moment you start to notice warning signals in a relationship, cut it short!

Wow. The amount of YTA replies! I bet they’d condone tipping her even more for dressing as such. IMO part of the restaurant service is visual appearance, so if this waitress couldn’t be bothered to wear company attire, then why should I be bothered to tip? Let alone tip 20%! OP should come to the UK, where they get paid even less and tips are never required, unless for extraordinary service.

Exactly the same. Started a course at uni this past year, and I thought I’d see whether I could form some genuine friendships with chicks that I didn’t want to fuck. What happened was precisely what you mentioned-they’d whine constantly at that time of the month (probably just an excuse), get so sensitive when I’d have banter and then they thought I’d get shit for them-no way was that happening. Now when I’m dating girls that ‘only want to be friends’, I reply with a quick ‘thanks, but no thanks…

That’s an interesting thought (about the daughters). But it also raises the question, what’s the big deal about continuing a surname across generations, other than for egotistic purposes?
/r/MensRights09/08/19 04:02 PM
2

Yh that’s the part I don’t get, the wife obviously knows that it’s a non-issue-otherwise she would’ve left to sustain her surname elsewhere. But the fact that it’s been brought up, indicates that either the guy is insecure and cannot let it go, or his wife has been gossiping about her discontent.

Why proclaim yourself a feminist if you believe in equality? The problem with ‘feminism’ is that it’s no longer a fight for equal rights for women; and has become an umbrella for misandry (referencing u/RT-AC66U). As a result, the MRA movement was established to help us men regain our rights in society. In other words, you shouldn’t fight fire with fire, and instead promote egalitarianism (referencing u/goodmod).

No problems at all. Yh, especially in the last couple of years, where a lot of the focus has been on women’s issues. It’s going to take a lot of time promoting Men’s rights to make the world realise the scale of the underreported and overlooked problems that we face day to day. Using the analogy of recycling, all we can do is our bit, hope that others notice the impact that we’re having, and they’ll eventually join the bandwagon.

Brit here too. Glad that there are people like you out there; how did the victim take it? Ignore the obvious attempts at white knighting, they’ll always prop up and challenge you. What’s important is that you rest assured in the fact that you’ve made a difference for the better-no matter how small.

Well said, sometimes I feel like they’re just doing it to provoke men. When they’re met with apologies and submission (in fear of false accusations), it somehow gives them that ego boost that defines the very premise of feminism. I’ve personally taken a stance to never be fucked with. Reprisal or not, acting like a dick or not, it’s time we stood up for ourselves in these kinds of situations.

Very true. It was a weird dynamic, since it’s the first time I’ve used such a big unisex toilet. There were two rows of cubicles and a mini urinal section at the back where all the guys were queueing. Strangely enough, all of the guys assumed that the cubicles were for the women and continued waiting for three urinal spots. The first guy I see exit one of the cubicles gets harassed. No wonder they just avoided the hassle...

With comments like “misogyny intrinsic to women’s existence”, it goes to show that feminism really was borne from insecurity and false rhetoric.

Thanks very much for this. Was looking for the story following my thread about the consequences of helping women. Long gone are those days where the act of male aid/intervention was welcomed and appreciated. Now when us blokes turn women down or straight up ignore them, they’ve still got an issue with it. They’ve only dug their own graves imho.

Fellow ‘95 brother, you talk a lot of sense. I’ve yet to be helped by a young woman, but 50 and 60+ year olds are the complete opposite-holding doors, etc. But I’ve even had one give me a lift in her car to a train station during the snow! My disdain is for our generation of females with how hateful and arrogant they have seemed to become, while preaching their feminist crap.

Thanks for the impartial response, it’s clear that you’re the sort of person to appraise both sides before making judgements-which is a fantastic trait to have. Now, I tried approaching the issue from the stance of a feminist’s perspective as i.e. strength and independence, as well as hatred for men and our ‘innate toxicity’. This leads me on to the circumstance, where the woman hasn’t asked for the help, but glances around almost expectedly, before I continue on my path and allow other guys to …

I have been sickened by the Media (especially BBC) coverage of this all-trying everything in their power to derail and sabotage his campaign. It can’t be a coincidence that the story was sold to a radical left wing feminist paper like the Guardian... I didn’t know about their backgrounds, so although not surprising, it clears things up a lot! Yh, I thought it was important to point that out. Giving the entitled generation more empowerment is a slippery slope.

I’m one of the enlightened men too. We simply cannot lower our value as men by encouraging these double standards from the left.
/r/MensRights24/06/19 08:56 PM

That’s if you didn’t pull a muscle first! What’s important is that we also remember that there’s nothing to prove to other people but to ourselves and our own moral standards.

/r/MensRights24/06/19 01:12 AM

Precisely this. So the MRA aspect lies in the disparate willingness to help each sex, the societal bias being towards women. It also lies in the social consequences of ‘not stepping in’, men are criticised and ridiculed for backing away, while women are let off the hook. Now this may be flipped in situations where it is deemed inappropriate for men to step in, such as offering emotional support to a crying woman or baby. Or taking your daughter to the male changing rooms (as opposed to boys with…

‘Some women (very few)’, this sounds like you’re trying damn well hard to defend your fellow females. If nobody is entitled to my help, then why is ‘Withholding help’ so pathetic? I never mentioned whether these females asked for the help or not...Just that as a society and as your point epitomises, men are expected to automatically submit to female attention-which is fallacious.
/r/MensRights24/06/19 12:45 AM

I couldn’t agree more. What also increases with the wealth is seemingly the level of deluded entitlement. Quite often, this manifests in their tone during the interaction. I’ve found that ‘hardened users’ won’t even vocalise their request-they’ll simply look backwards with those all too familiar puppy eyes expecting prompt service.
/r/MensRights24/06/19 12:01 AM

Exactly. Forget being told that they’re strong and independent...Time after time women leave doors ramming into our faces, but no questions are asked or remarks made. I’m going to take a leaf out of your book from now on.

You’re right, if she does ask then it changes the dynamics slightly. I think back to the a time when I was with three female colleagues getting onto the train, when a mother asks us to carry her heavy-as-fuck pram up the stairs. Not sure if I had any choice but to step in and help, or run the risk of looking a prick. But I also think why in hell would she think about lugging such a large monstrosity around to simply transport her baby up stairs and onto a train. It’s almost as if she knew that s…

Thanks, you’ve addressed another issue-that is with the reactions to your offer for help. Now London, England is highly cosmopolitan and strangely enough, I’d feel more at ease helping somebody who isn’t white and middle class (indeed the sorts to get arsey about things). But the basis of my point was whether we should feel compelled to help this damsel in distress; and thus if we should feel guilty/ be made to feel guilty by herself or the knights if we do not help.
