Wanting to be married and a SAHM but not yet and don’t know what to do?What lifestyle are you both willing to accept to live on a single income? What safety nets do you have in place in case something happens to him and you lose that income? Are you able to budget money and cook well? What money concerns does he have that are keeping him from feeling confident about the next step? Can you manage unexpected expenses, including long-term ones? I've been a SAHW for three years, SAHM for a little less time, and we live on about 50k a year. It's absolutely doable even o… | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/08/24 12:06 AM
| – | What's for dinner? We're just doing easy to nibble appetizers. So mini sausages simmered in barbecue sauce, meatballs in marinara sauce, bacon mac and cheese bites from Wal-Mart, pizza rolls, etc. Not the fanciest but we probably won't be having many people over and it's cheap. With 10-20 bucks you could do that or something indulgent for yourself depending on what grocery stores are around you. I know lobster tails are on sale near me, maybe you could check your ads and find something that fits your budget? | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/12/20 07:48 PM |
Male Friends?Your husband should always be your best friend. From there it's about establishing your personal rules for keeping the marriage more important than the friendship. As long as your husband knows the guy, you're open with what you're talking about, as well as not confiding things to the friend without telling them to your husband, I don't think it's being a bad wife to have a male friend. BUT it's also risky territory and still good advice to avoid opposite sex friendships in general. My personal … | /r/RedPillWomen | 12/10/20 02:46 PM

Men Should Be Able to CheatWow, that first list is full of terrible reasoning. "If you don't let your man sleep around you're selfish and jealous and mistrustful and hampering his happiness, which obviously matters more than yours." Seriously? Being RPW doesn't have to mean you value him at 100 and yourself at 0. And trying to use an argument of "But doesn't he deserve more kiiiids?" just misses the mark so thoroughly. | 3 | I got a bone to pick with your rules. There's too much word vomit to even ponder your words, and what I've read of that spewing is nothing new. This probably isn't a place for you. You know what would really be pathetic though, is if we changed our rules based on one guy who thinks he knows better than we do how RPW function. | 1 | Intro and please teach me how to be a morning person!I'm so glad it helped! Where you have a new baby it just may not be possible to get more sleep right now, but as long as your husband knows he's still a priority and that you love him I'm sure he'll understand if you can't be perky in the morning. ;) | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/01/16 12:35 AM
Intro and please teach me how to be a morning person! You don't have to be a chipper morning person to help start his day right, just don't be a total grump. Maybe physical contact like hugs and kisses instead of words, and/or something to give him like a lunch that you prepped the day before. I'm assuming you're like me and turn into a cavewoman when you wake up, only talking in grunts and finger pointing. There's nonverbal ways of communication that will show him that you care and won't give him a bad start to the day. | /r/RedPillWomen | 20/01/16 08:30 PM

Sexual frustration causes anger (in both men and women)Except it's not just about men. It was about women being alone and unwanted too. But as I said elsewhere, it's just speculation. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/01/16 03:23 PM
Sexual frustration causes anger (in both men and women)I doubt it. People can find happiness if they choose to, and if culture reflected finding that happiness in any form people would be more likely to do so. But it's all speculation and my opinion versus yours on whether there'd be more bitter and lonely people. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/01/16 03:21 PM
Sexual frustration causes anger (in both men and women)Yeah, well, never said people would like it. But sometimes people have to do things they don't want to do. It's not always the end of the world or abuse or what not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/01/16 03:15 PM
Sexual frustration causes anger (in both men and women)Don't know why you made a connection between single parenthood and abusive relationships when they have literally nothing to do with what I said. And I said it would be lessened, not eliminated. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/01/16 03:13 PM
Sexual frustration causes anger (in both men and women)I'm referring more to cultural attitudes than laws. No fault divorce, praising single parenthood, promiscuity, and lack of commitment in relationships overall are a few ways we are not pro-monogamy. If we changed that, the problem of people being bitter and lonely would be lessened. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 08/01/16 08:19 AM

No, I've been with a guy who worshipped me, and it was distasteful. That level of adoration gets old fast when you know you're only human but he insists on framing you as more than that. | 14 | How would TRP Explain these Views in a Woman? So you would question your doctor and not believe him about anything just because he claims to be a medical expert? I should question my boss over every step in my job because she doesn't know everything? I don't think that'd lead to fewer screwups. Quite the opposite in fact. Not blind trust in just anyone. Deference to another person who has proven worthy of that trust. Yeah, anyone can screw up. In fact, everyone will screw up at some point. Oh wait, maybe it's more the lifestyle of people posh enough to drink wine every night that's good for your heart. Eat low sodium diets, oh, maybe it should be low sugar instead. Being able to choose who to marry is a good thing for the most part. Being able to divorce is a necessary thing in some cases, and if it were stigmatized like it used to be while being a valid option for escape, such as in abusive relationships, it would be a very good thing. Being able to work and provide for a family contributes to the stability of society… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/08/15 10:12 PM |

Does religion play a role in any of this?I think this has to do with some of the misinterpretations of "women are attracted to alphas or higher status men." It doesn't mean that every woman wants a jet setting super rich hottie. It's much closer to specific culture than both sides acknowledge it seems like. However, I do think that TRP is going from the position of assuming the men who join are complete slobs and building from the ground up so they gain more power in their nook of the world. | 1 | Something I've noticed about feminism and TRPMy problem with this philosophy is that it claims that happiness and suffering are almost exclusive, as in you cannot be happy if you have or have ever had suffering. That seems like a fundamentally backwards notion to me, because they are both necessary to understand the other. So I disagree completely with your philosophy. I think life is an experience of emotion and learning, not a punishment. Beyond that, basically what /u/TheGreasyPole said sums up my position. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/08/15 07:53 PM

Can you laugh at sexism? It seems like a relatively comparable level of basic objectification. Men are idiotic sex fiends, women are useless and stupid sex objects. | 19 | Can you laugh at sexism?I'm not sexist, sexism is wrong and being wrong is for women. Why do brides wear white? So all the appliances match. Why was Helen Keller a bad driver? Because she was a woman. What's a wife? An attachment you screw on the bed to get the housework done. Fairly crude, but I always laugh at those and I'm still a woman last I checked. At least, frequently enough for me to have seen it a few times in my small corner of the world. AWALT exists because women do make choices that reflect it. | 3 | Do Redpillwomen believe AWALT applies to them?Sure I can. Just because it's a biological instinct doesn't mean it's an imperative. Should a TRPAngerPhase subreddit exist? Is it a perfect system currently? Of course not. My point is I think this suggestion would do more harm than good. On TRP anger posters can be influenced by non-anger posters, helping them see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. Person 1's Friend: You're not old! Age is just a number! You're only as old as you feel! LQ: Person 1's Friend, that's what old people say! So yes, beating people may be an assertion of power, fine. But it's an assertion of power only the powerless make, just like age is only a number to old people. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/05/15 11:50 PM
CMV: Domestic abuse (such as beating your wife) is an alpha trait.Beating your wife shows superior physical prowess? We already know that men are physically stronger than we are. We don't need it proven to us. If a guy has to beat his wife to show her he's the boss then he's really just trying to convince himself and he knows it's a lie. It is indicative of a weakness of mind that he has to hurt those weaker than himself to feel masculine. | 1 | TRP and rapeNo, deciding to look better is exactly dread game, it's soft dread and it's in the definition on the Red Pill sidebar. It says something along the lines of "even the possibility of more attention instills dread." This is why you BPers think it's so bad and evil and manipulative, you don't understand what it is. | 3 | What caused you to join your respective sub?The University of California sent out a recommendation trigger warnings be posted on class syllabi. Here's another article about it. It was retracted because the professors fought it, but it's not just an internet phenomena. They may just be a few people, but they are a vocal few. | 6 | Are women inherently manipulative?I would say that depends on your application of the word "inherent." All humans are inherently manipulative for their own benefit, just look at babies. They don't care if you just feel asleep, if they want food they want it now. Their cries are tailored to get what they want/need from you as soon as possible. Isn't that manipulative? | 8 | CMV: It's feminist and not TRPers that hate women. That's true. Progress for one group isn't progress for other groups. But there's not really a solution to that. There's little common ground between these two groups alone. I just think everyone would benefit by not judging people just for their choices, or thinking they know better than everyone who believes differently, which is my main gripe with feminism. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 14/04/15 07:34 PM

Being a wife and mother isn't a sit down shut up environment unless you're in an abusive relationship. Is the camel's back broken yet? And if you can't see that we live in a female-centric, feminist society then you're blind. RP isn't there to make her happy, and they aren't going to change the premise of the entire sub just because one woman goes there and says "I'm different!" I can understand why they say it, it really is a bad deal for men if it goes sour, but I think it's important to raise children in a stable environment and I think marriage is necessary for that. Since children are necessary for society to continue I think marriage needs to continue. If you start a relationship in one way, you can't change it on a whim and expect your partner to be okay with it. That's what I'm saying. If you both end up agreeing to it, then you can change the rules, but if not you can't make unilateral decisions that affect both of you, like a threesome. | 17 | What exactly are the differences between red pill and feminism?Feminism says equality means the two genders need to do the exact same things, RP says gender roles are different because men and women are different. Feminism says women will be happy as a ball-busting career woman, RP says maybe, but she'll probably be happiest with a strong willed man she respects and defers to. Feminism says if a man does anything sexual towards you he's a potential rapist. RP says men should pursue, and you should be the kind of woman you want a high value man to pursue. | 3 | RPers, whats your origin story?Growing up I thought RP was normal. Mama stayed home and kept house and raised us kids, Dad worked and got dinner from her when he got home. They never fought, because when Dad put his foot down about something Mama went along with it, but she managed most of the household affairs. My neighbors were like this as well as far as I know, probably because of our religion. It wasn't until I reached junior high that I truly realized that people lived completely differently. The clincher for me though,… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/01/15 04:48 AM |
/u/Archwinger's "The number one mistake of married women: marrying a guy to whom they're not attracted"That's not lowering your standards, that's making your standards more realistic. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/01/15 03:24 AM
/u/Archwinger's "The number one mistake of married women: marrying a guy to whom they're not attracted"I think this is why the whole notion of "soulmates" is so damaging. Women are taught that marriage is supposed to be with the nonexistent guy who "completes you." That will never happen, and you will end up resenting your spouse for not being magical. So he's not Prince Charming, get over it. You're not Snow White. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/01/15 09:39 PM
Maybe I'm Going About This Wrong. CAWI hate to say this because I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but from what you're saying he sounds toxic and not like a good captain. I would suggest moving on. | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/01/15 04:14 AM
Redpill Women and online gamingI love this explanation, and it's my ideal relationship. I have never needed or wanted a lead role, and my goal is to become my SO's support character, with him being the tank and me the glass cannon. | /r/RedPillWomen | 12/01/15 08:30 AM
Good, red pill role models for women in media or real lifeI had to look it up to remember the particulars. Apparently she wore an Oscar de la Renta dress and they said something along the lines of "We really don't know how she got ahold of it." Because heaven forbid she actually, you know, buy it. That's what started it. This occurred around the same time that the fashion industry was heavily campaigning for Obama at the same time. | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/01/15 05:19 PM
Good, red pill role models for women in media or real lifePart of the reason these women are difficult to find I think is because they aren't in the spotlight. They do their thing behind the scenes. But as soon as I read your title I thought of Ann Romney. Politics and religion aside, she doesn't detract from her husband, she is absolutely his support character. She was really snubbed too, I felt so bad for her when some fashion designers said they refused to dress her. But she handled it like a lady and always seemed to look good. I know I certainly a… | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/01/15 07:25 AM
Question for RPW about PlayersFor me it's less about the number and more about his attitude towards relationships. If he shows no interest in settling down and sees women as just playthings then I'm not going to hang around. I'm not going to push for something he's not willing or ready for, so having a reputation will definitely impact how I interact with him. If he shows interest in something long term it would be taken with a grain of salt. It won't disqualify him outright, but I will be more cautious around him. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/11/14 11:13 PM
