Yes, it's more socially acceptable for women to be stay at home moms or take non-traditional career paths. Abstract advocacy of violence is protected speech, and requires intent, imminence, and a likelihood that violence will actually result in order to be criminal. It's doubtful that all three elements would occur from just a sign, but obviously external factors come into play.
