Yeah, do it anyway and give him one drawer for a couple months. Socks and underwear throw it all in. One day fold the socks together but still throw them in. Months later fold underwear and boom. He is so use to it he won't bother with the change.

Do it anyway make it about you not him. Laundry needs to get done. The way you want. If he wants it a certain way give him one drawer where you will throw all the clothes. Then slowly convert that drawer to being neat.

I agree with you. I would add that this leaving for a couple days probably strengthens their relationship. A reminder of what she has and a reminder of what he has. Distance is good in relationships. Sex is better too.
